Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 456: An Unexpected Event

The terrified people raised their heads or looked outside their cars. They too had heard the explosion and with their own eyes could see the fire and countless pillars of smoke rising.

Yet to their surprise nothing had happened to them. Slowly they stepped out of their cars, shocked and stunned as they looked around.

The first thing they saw was a man floating in the sky staring into the distance. A black mask covered his face so his features could not be seen.

"He saved us?"

"Who is he?"

"What happened? What was that explosion just now?"

"That mask… why does it look like that Fallen?" among the crowd one person recognized the mask.

When the word Fallen was heard many people's faces changed. With how widely the news had spread there was no one who had not at least heard the name of this unknown figure.

"Leave this place." Daniel's voice came out, now masked. When the people heard his words they did not waste time and hurried to leave.

They were not stupid. The explosion just now had been terrifying. They could see in the distance that many buildings clustered together had been blown apart and collapsed.

And what was more terrifying was that they knew the place. It was none other than the National Prison of the Awakened, the place where some of the most dangerous Awakened criminals were held.

To make sure the people could leave safely Daniel summoned several of his Fallen and ordered them to guard the civilians.

He then took a step and in the next moment appeared in the sky above the National Prison of the Awakened. His spiritual senses spread out and immediately covered the entire area.

"There are twelve prison buildings in total and out of these twelve, eight have exploded and five are completely turned to ash." He frowned.

He could see that all the soldiers and guards who had been protecting this place were dead. Blood was splattered everywhere and he could feel the last traces of life beneath the destroyed buildings.

But even those traces vanished quickly. He let out a sigh.

"What exactly happened here?" He could not understand how such a secure place could suddenly be destroyed like this.

He spread his spiritual senses further and scanned into the distance until finally he found traces of individuals that seemed to have escaped from here.

"Prisoners?" The frown on his face deepened. He stepped forward and appeared above one of the escaped prisoners he had located.

What he saw caused a cold light to flash in his eyes. The prisoner had attacked a nearby shop and was rampaging through everything in the area, even several people had already been killed.

It seemed the prisoner intended to wipe out the whole shop. Daniel appeared in front of him and stopped him before he could kill an innocent child.

The child who thought he was about to die slowly opened his eyes when he realized the bad man had not struck him. What he saw instead was a masked man standing before him as if protecting him.

"Go." Daniel told the child. The boy nodded and ran off quickly, trying to wipe away his tears as he left.

"Who the hell are you? How dare you stop me?" The escaped prisoner was startled that this man had blocked his punch. Fear showed in his face as he quickly jumped back several steps.

"If you want to leave here alive you had better answer my questions." Daniel said with a cold and emotionless tone.

"Hmph! Who do you think you are? You think wearing a mask makes you a hero?" The prisoner growled and rushed at Daniel intending to strike him with his fists.

But Daniel gave him no chance. With a single blow he shattered the prisoner's entire skeletal structure and turned him to ash.

"Ahhhh!" The scream of terror from the prisoner filled the entire shop.

"Now will you answer my questions or not?"

"I will! I will!" The prisoner nodded frantically with fear. How could he dare refuse?

"How did you escape? How many have escaped?" Daniel asked in a calm voice.

"I don't know how we escaped! Suddenly there was a boom, an explosion, and the restraints that limited our powers broke. Then the cell doors opened."

"As for how many I don't know! Maybe hundreds!" the prisoner answered in panic.

"Don't lie." Daniel's tone turned cold and suddenly a deadly destructive aura enveloped the escaped prisoner.

"I swear I'm not lying! You have to find Steven! He knows! He definitely knows what happened and how we managed to escape."

"Before we left the prison he gave us a pill. He said it could multiply our power several times over. Look, this is it." The prisoner pulled a pill from his pocket and handed it to the masked man before him.

"He definitely knew something was going to happen and that we would be able to escape."

"I see." Daniel nodded and then the prisoner was completely reduced to ash.

He stood up and before leaving glanced at the shop and all the innocent people who had been killed. He sighed. Some of the scenes he saw even made his expression turn completely cold.

He wished he could have arrived just a few minutes earlier. But unfortunately there was no medicine for regret.

He left the shop and summoned all of his Fallen. Once they appeared they bowed before him.

"Go and find all the escaped prisoners. They cannot have gone far. Also bring me the one named Steven."

The Fallen bowed respectfully and like shadows vanished from his sight to carry out their lord's command.

Daniel took out his phone and called Lana, explaining the situation in full detail. Lana said she would immediately declare an emergency and send other Awakened for support.

After ending the call he pulled out the pill he had taken from the prisoner and looked at it. It was a shining purple pill.

"This is the trash smell of the Corruption Worshipers." A cold glint flashed in his eyes.
