Yin Hu continued to test out what mutations he could bring up from the system. Starting with grabbing a few of the most incredible resources he found quickly without looking too far into the rice bag. Both of which had incredible names.
This time, he made sure they were setting applicable and similar to each other so he did not end up with mutations that made no sense. He pulled out a Raven of the Black Nights feather and Ashes of the Fallen Phoenix. To further push the setting, he supplemented the entire thing with a dozen Qi Stones of what was supposed to be a rank of True Sage and a Spiritual Root Upgrade Pill.
He had planned to use one of the latter items to upgrade them after the purification process, but if he could do that while developing their mutations then it would only save him a few steps in the process. Both helping his cause and preventing him from making obvious mistakes without knowing.

Wood Element | Ashes of the World Tree - Spiritual Roots - Tier SSS+
Yin Hu stared at the notification he received. He learned quite a few things at the same time with just one message. It made him wonder what the system would be like if it had not been broken. How much of a cheat it could have been. Yet here he was stuck with barely a single percentage of its capabilities.
First and foremost, the system had provided a perfect option for Jun to use as a mutation advancement. It was unlike the other ones he received in that it was for her Spiritual Roots rather than sounding like they were classes in a game.
He wasn't sure what a class mutation would look like in a cultivation world, even if it was supposedly applicable. How was it supposed to level up if their system was broken just like his? Yin Hu refused to put them through the same torture and loneliness he had gone through for eons if it meant sending them to the tutorial island if they accepted it.
Then there was the issue of the last sentence.
Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.
Both girls didn't have soul protection from the quick growth they were receiving? What did that even mean? Were they going to blow up in a shower of viscera and blood if he kept pushing them past their limits or quicker than they could handle?
What the hell was he supposed to do and how quickly was he meant to help them advance?
Yin Hu needed them to be nukes as soon as possible rather than wait a few generations for it to happen. Who knows what could happen in the meantime. What if the Calamity everyone seems to be waiting for suddenly appeared and started murdering everyone? How was he supposed to help himself, the girls, or anyone else for that matter if it came down to it.
Maybe he could beat Dong ZhenKang. Maybe he could get close to Cai Xeufang if he put his head to it and started practicing. But to kill a Calamity?
He shook his head.
Focus, Yin Hu. We can worry about this Calamity some other time. Preferably when I don't need to actually worry about what it is capable of doing to us.
Yin Hu clicked the last option. A very vague description of a large tree being burned and the devastation that it could cause was mentioned in a sentence or two, but otherwise said nothing else about what it was other than that it was 99% applicable to Hu Jun and her current form.
The perfect Spiritual Roots Mutation.
Do you wish to apply Mutation? [Wood Element | Ashes of the World Tree - Spiritual Roots - Tier SSS+] on disciple 1 - Hu Jun?
Yes -
No -
Yin Hu selected yes. If the system believed it was the perfect option, then who was he to really argue against it. Plus it was at the peak of the ranks so he didn't need to worry about another mutation or her reaching a bottleneck as they grew stronger and stronger.
All worries he did not need to worry about as long as he had a high enough tier—
The system glitched in front of him. Yin Hu's heart caught in his throat as his worst fears came true. The system was having another panic attack. Yin Hu tried to stop the process but it was too late for anything to chance.
If anything it was picking steam.
Error…
Er…OrRor….
Recalibration Attempted…
Mutations Exceeding Dimensional Plane…
Mutations provided exceed the threshold of existence…
Requires ascension…
Do you wish to ascend [Hu Jun] to the next physical plane of existence?
Yes -
No -
No! No! No! I don't want her ascending! What the hell does that even mean—
Ascension to the next physical plane of existence is a typical transcendence for beings that break system parameters for current world limits—
The system actually gave him a long winded, but very informative explanation for the first time. He received them only for items already in his bag before, but otherwise, he had no clue how to activate it. Either it was a lucky trigger or it popped up without any rhyme or meaning.
Yin Hu sighed as the system flashed back to the first screen with it asking for resources to start the process of their mutation. As though nothing else had happened a second ago.
He let his shoulders sag.
This whole thing was harder than he expected. How many times was it now that he almost made the system blow up just trying to get a basic mutation for the Jun? He couldn't keep up with all the startles and fear that he messed everything up. He needed something simple. A break to all the chaos and craziness around him.
Yin Hu chuckled. It bloomed into out right, stomach aching, fall to the ground laughter.
He knew that was bullshit until the girls turned into nukes. There would be no true calm or peace until at least one of them was capable of taking care of all three without him having to intervene and be the responsible adult. Yin Hu just wanted to relax with gorgeous, buxom women around him. Feeding him grapes. Doing things in the privacy of an estate looking out into a gorgeous landscape without a single soul to bother them.
How hard could that be?
It wasn't much right? Yin Hu truly hoped not.
He just needed to figure out how.
Yin Hu sighed as he returned to figuring out the mutations and what would actually work. Running the gambit with items all over again in hopes he would find another class that would be applicable to Jun the way Wood Element | Ashes of the World Tree was. 99% was near perfect compatibility.
He had a feeling things weren't as simple as he thought they were when it came to anything provided with the system. Especially without all the information provided. Like being a brand new driver and given a Bugatti and told 'have fun'.
Disaster was the only thing waiting for them at that point.
