Chapter 133: Showing Off, An Adorable Cat
More than two hours later…
The two little fellows cheered and screamed loudly in the indoor amusement park, while Wang Hu and Di Baijun watched quietly from the outside.
“How is it? Not bad, right? Look at how much fun Big Treasure and Little Treasure are having,” said a smiling Wang Hu.
Di Baijun was as cool and haughty as ever underneath the hood of her coat. She replied dispassionately, “This is ultimately still the humans’ world.”
“I know. We’re just coming over to have some fun once in a while. Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing,” said an unaffected Wang Hu who understood what she was trying to say.
Di Baijun cast a glance at him but didn’t say anything else.
It was only after playing in the amusement park for a whole hour and more did Wang Hu finally bring Big Treasure and Little Treasure, who still hadn’t had enough yet, away.
“Daddy, Little Treasure still wants to play.”
“It’s fine. Daddy will definitely bring you here to play again in the future. Daddy will build an even bigger one for you after some time.”
“Okay. Daddy’s awesome!”
“Yeah. Daddy’s the best! Big Treasure loves Daddy the most.”
Di Baijun’s eyes narrowed slightly and looked over. Big Treasure, who was currently in Wang Hu’s arms, caught her look. He immediately turned away and buried his head into Wang Hu’s neck.
Wang Hu raised an eyebrow at Silly Girl and gave her a smug smile.
Di Baijun haughtily let out a light snort and turned away.
They strolled leisurely around the central square, occasionally entering an eatery and having a meal there.
The two things that others worried about the most—money, as well as not having enough space in their gut—were things that Wang Hu and his family just so happened to have enough of.
They ate to their hearts’ content the whole way until the crowds slowly dispersed. Even then, the two little fellows nevertheless held their bulging little bellies and asked for more.
Wang Hu was alright with it. Given the two little fellows’ body constitution, it wouldn’t bring them any harm anyway.
However, Di Baijun raised an eyebrow and stopped them from eating more. “These aren’t anything good. It’s enough to just have some. You mustn’t be greedy.”
The two little fellows immediately looked at Wang Hu pitifully. Wang Hu thought about it and found that what Silly Girl said indeed made sense, too.
He said seriously, “Mommy is right. You mustn’t eat anymore.”
“No, I don’t wanna. Big Treasure still wants t—”
Big Treasure was just about to shout when a pair of hands extinguished the shout. Di Baijun then took him from Wang Hu’s arms.
At once, a pouting Big Treasure quieted down with a very sad and aggrieved look on his face. He looked at his father.
Wang Hu glanced at Silly Girl. Then, he let out a light cough and pretended that he hadn’t noticed anything. He said gently to Little Treasure who was still in his arms, “We’ll come here and eat again tomorrow, alright?”
Little Treasure, who was looking at her mother and her elder brother, blinked her big cute eyes and replied crisply, “Okay.”
“What a well-behaved girl you are. Here, have a kiss,” said Wang Hu as he rewarded her with a kiss.
After that, Wang Hu strolled about aimlessly with his family without buying any more food.
In the blink of an eye, Big Treasure had forgotten all about his sadness from just now. Together with Little Treasure, he looked around at all the things on each side with great curiosity and enthusiasm.
This continued until past 2 a.m. When Wang Hu noticed that the two little fellows had become rather sleepy, he booked and checked into a room in a five-star hotel and coaxed them into sleeping.
Although he didn’t have an ID, this was no problem for Wang Hu at all. A bit of mental power was all he needed to get it settled.
Before long, the two little fellows fell asleep.
Despite the fact that they had already broken through to the Transformation Realm and had even gained their Dao forms—in fact, Di Baijun had even imparted the cultivation technique to them; as of now, their main way of becoming stronger was exactly eating and sleeping… and sleeping and eating.
After all, they were ultimately still too young mentally. There was no way anyone could get two- to three-year-old toddlers to sit still and diligently cultivate.
Besides, be it Wang Hu or Di Baijun, neither of them had ever thought of forcing them to cultivate when they were still so young.
When he saw that the two little fellows had fallen asleep, Wang Hu tugged at Di Baijun’s hand and whispered, “Let’s go out for a walk, Baijun.”
“No, I’m not going.” Di Baijun immediately turned away and showed him the back of her head.
“Big Treasure and Little Treasure will be fine. I’ll definitely keep watch over them every moment with my divine senses,” Wang Hu promised.
“I’m not going.” Di Baijun raised her chin a little, somewhat smug.
That’s for making me angry every day recently, you jerk. I just won’t go.
Wang Hu curled his lip and said calmly and unhurriedly, “I’m going to hug you if you don’t go, and I’ll also kiss you after that. If it wakes Big Treasure and Little Treasure…”
“You—”
Di Baijun swung around and glared angrily at Wang Hu.
“Why are you so shameless?”
“You’re the only one who I treat this way anyway.” Wang Hu was the picture of someone who thought that the situation was already so bad that to make it worse made no real difference.
Di Baijun snorted lightly. Suddenly, her eyes narrowed, and she said frostily, “Hmph. You’re becoming bolder and bolder, aren’t you?”
Wang Hu blinked and immediately carried Silly Girl in his arms.
Di Baijun forcibly suppressed her exclamation of shock. She didn’t dare to use her divine power, for fear that she would disturb the two little fellows and wake them up. Terribly embarrassed and annoyed, she pounded Wang Hu with her jade-like hand.
She chided lightly as she struggled, “Hurry and put me down, you jerk. What do you think you’re doing?”
“I’m bringing you out for a walk,” said Wang Hu with a simple and naive smile. He started to walk toward the exit while carrying her in his arms.
When they were close to exiting the room, Di Baijun—who was so afraid that others would see them—could no longer stand it. She compromised and said, “Fine, fine. We’ll go out for a walk. Hurry and put me down.”
Only then did Wang Hu chuckle and put Silly Girl down. Then, he took hold of her soft, warm hand and started to walk out.
With a slight pout on her face, a greatly reluctant Di Baijun was pulled along to the outside.
She had only just taken a couple of steps when she said awfully indignantly, “You jerk, you’re just bullying me because I haven’t recovered yet. Just you wait. When I recover, I’ll definitely beat you up so bad that your head will be all swollen.”
“Okay, okay. When you recover, I’ll fight with you every day,” Wang Hu said coaxingly.
Di Baijun snorted. She didn’t feel like paying that jerk any attention.
Wang Hu pulled Silly Girl out of the hotel. Then, they started to stroll leisurely in the almost-empty streets that had quieted down.
He didn’t do anything either. He simply held her hand and walked quietly just like that.
One step, two steps…
Suddenly, Wang Hu led Silly Girl over next to someone, who was standing alone and looking at his cell phone, and stopped in his tracks.
The unwilling look was still on Di Baijun’s face when she noticed that the jerk had pulled her over to somewhere and stopped. When she saw that there was even someone else beside them, she couldn’t help but glare at Wang Hu and wanted to immediately drag the jerk away.
However, before she could leave, the person had already looked over at them. Di Baijun very clearly saw the corners of his lips curling, seemingly somewhat disdainful and mocking, before he turned and left.
Taken aback, Di Baijun found the whole thing rather ridiculous. However, the next moment, she noticed—out of the corner of her eye—that the jerk beside her was sporting a huge smile, as well as a proud and smug look, on his face.
At once, she became even more puzzled. She swung the hand holding hers a couple of times and asked, “What are you smiling at?”
“Do you know why that person left just now? Baijun.” Wang Hu couldn’t help but ask smugly with a smile.
Di Baijun glared at him. “Hurry up and say it.”
“Because he’s green with envy and thinks that we’re showing off.” Wang Hu’s voice was filled with pride.
“Showing off?” Di Baijun was rather puzzled. However, she had ultimately already been exposed to Chinese culture for so long. After thinking about it for a couple of seconds, she immediately got it.
At once, she rolled her eyes dryly at the jerk. That jerk must have done it on purpose.
To think he was even showing off! Hmph.
She flung his hand away and took the lead to walk forward ahead of Wang Hu, preventing him from seeing the smile that had surfaced on her countenance at some point.
Her smile was proud and blissful.
Wang Hu strode forward along with her, feeling refreshed and energetic all over… as well as unusually pleased.
During his past life, the one thing that he had been the most envious of was seeing couples on the streets while he walked all by himself.
This was especially the case at night. Every time he saw couples strolling on the streets, he would always feel like saying something: ‘Are you crazy? Why are all of you not properly staying at home in the middle of the night but coming out for a walk instead? You must have a screw loose in your head.’
Then, he would speed up and go far, far away from those people.
However, he didn’t need to anymore. No one could beat his wife.
As he thought about it, he couldn’t help but smile in indescribable delight.
He peered around to see if there were any more individuals around.
A minute later, he indeed saw one. Without a second word, he immediately pulled Silly Girl with him and started to walk over.
Di Baijun rolled her eyes and swung his hand to indicate her reluctance. Then… then, she followed after him and walked over.
All the while, she was even ‘casually’ thinking: It’s all because that jerk is pulling me along. It’s not like I want to do this.
Half a minute later, Wang Hu’s smile widened a notch when he successfully made the unfortunately single person quicken their footsteps and return home.
After another few minutes, a dissatisfied Di Baijun asked, “How long more must we walk for?”
Wang Hu turned to her. Without any psychological burden at all, he said gently, “I’d like to continue walking like this with you for a lifetime… or ten.”
Di Baijun flushed crimson red, and she immediately turned away while muttering, “There’s no such thing as ten lifetimes. I’m immortal.”
“In that case, we’ll stay together forever for this entire lifetime,” Wang Hu followed up effortlessly.
Di Baijun couldn’t keep up anymore. She shamelessly cheated and said, “Let’s go back. Big Treasure and Little Treasure are still waiting.”
Wang Hu curled his lip. Then, he magnanimously forgave the other party for cheating and gently replied, “We’ll go back after walking for a while more.”
Di Baijun gave her tacit approval.
Suddenly, Wang Hu’s gaze shifted, and he looked somewhere in the dark.
Di Baijun looked over as well, upon which a look of astonishment surfaced in her eyes as well.
“What an adorable cat!” Wang Hu marveled.
In the area out of light’s reach, a small cat had soundlessly run past just now.
A milky-white color all over… there was no dirt or mess on it. Even Wang Hu found it extremely adorable.
Di Baijun cast a glance at him. She frowned a little and said somewhat hesitantly, “That cat seems a little off.”
“Are you talking about her size?” asked Wang Hu casually.
With their capabilities, they were naturally able to tell with one glance that the little kitten had probably already reached peak-level First Realm. However, its size was just like a normal kitten’s.
To Wang Hu, however, this wasn’t anything important. What if it was due to its species, right?
Di Baijun shook her head and said with some uncertainty, “It’s because she’s too clean.”
Wang Hu raised an eyebrow. He hadn’t noticed that.
Ever since he had taken a look at Old Third and Su Ling after his breakthrough, Wang Hu never used his divine senses to scan anyone else’s bodies ever again.
After a moment’s thought, he didn’t bother anymore about the topic. “It’s just a cat. There’s no need to pay any attention to it.”
Di Baijun hesitated. For some reason, she inexplicably felt rather uncomfortable.
Nevertheless, she went along with Wang Hu and allowed him to pull her forward.
Half an hour later, they returned to the hotel. The night passed quietly.
The next day, Wang Hu brought the whole family to the amusement park to have some fun. The two little fellows almost went crazy playing there again.
At the same time, Tiger King’s Cave also welcomed more than ten guests at 10 a.m.
As a few helicopters flew over loudly, Wang Liang prepared to receive them with Old Third and Su Ling.
