Chapter 132: Showing Off the Children
Wang Hu went over the space bags’ functions with him first. Although Transformation Realm cultivators didn’t have any divine power—neither could they externally release their mental power; they did have Blood Qi.
Additionally, if mental marks weren’t left on the space bags by the owners, they would still be able to open these bags. It wasn’t difficult to put things in. As for taking them out, all they needed to do was just pour the contents out when they had to.
After listening to his instructions, Wang Liang personally gave it a try. He couldn’t help but become rather excited.
“Distribute these space bags to the animals. From now on, the guard team and the hunting team’s mission is to tear off flesh from the carcasses and store them in the space bags. After that, they are to send all the meat to the tigers in the territory.
“As for what routes to take, what kind of duties each animal should undertake on each day, and how to check whether they’ve done it or not; these things will all be under your charge. Understand?” said Wang Hu seriously.
The Second Realm Huis’ flesh couldn’t be stored for too long after their deaths. This was the case even with the fairly cold weather currently. Their level of imperishability was far lower than the Divine Body Realm Huis’.
The animals in Tiger King’s Cave alone definitely wouldn’t be able to finish 3,000-odd Second Realm Huis within a short while.
Sending the meat to the distant tigers was something that definitely had to be done.
To the tigers that were all still in the First Realm, the flesh of Second Realm creatures would be of great use.
“Yes, I understand.” Wang Liang nodded seriously.
“Yeah. Remember to put aside the bones, claws, and other things like that together in one place after tearing off the flesh. Don’t discard them.
“That’s it for now. Go and plan what you need to do now.” Wang Hu waved him off.
Wang Liang nodded and walked out.
After making these arrangements, Wang Hu immediately felt rather relaxed. He was in a pretty good mood. Now, this was the advantage of having subordinates, especially clever ones.
Take this fairly troublesome matter that entailed a lot of work for example. All he had to do was just instruct someone to do it.
He trusted that Old Second, Jun Wen, and the others would do a great job. There was no need for him to worry about it at all.
After thinking carefully for a while and ensuring that he hadn’t overlooked anything, he returned to the room and started to cultivate together with Silly Girl.
Elsewhere, Wang Liang started to rack his brains and design a plan the moment he returned to his place of residence.
This wasn’t a simple or easy task. He needed to plan routes for each animal according to their individual characteristics, speed, and even their personalities.
Of course, there was no way there wouldn’t be a sliver of selfishness involved here, such as favoring a certain somebody so that he would give a more outstanding performance.
As he thought about it, a hint of a cheeky smile involuntarily surfaced.
Early in the morning the next day, after the regular recitation and loud pledging, Wang Liang called out to the animals.
“I’m sure everyone is already aware of the instructions that the lord gave yesterday. The mission starts today. Listen up, everyone.”
After speaking confidently, he brought out a large cell phone. While referring to the map, he started to talk concretely about the mission, as well as the arrangements for every animal.
“… Jun Wen, your mission is to send one carcass each to the 48 tigers in this area.”
In the end, Wang Liang pointed to an area in the furthermost corner of the territory at the periphery. As though nothing was wrong, he looked at Jun Wen and spoke.
Some animals were originally frowning, while some were reluctant to carry out their mission. However, when they heard this one last arrangement, a quick thought was all that was needed for their frown to disappear right away.
The reason for this was very simple. They just needed to do a quick comparison, and they would realize that Jun Wen’s mission was the hardest. The number of tigers he was in charge of sending meat to wasn’t a lot, but the traveling distance was the longest and the most time-consuming.
As a tiger and even one of the lord’s trusted subordinates, there was nothing much that anyone could say about him receiving the hardest mission. It was very fair.
At once, all the animals obediently collected a space bag and began to move out. The sooner they completed their mission, the sooner they could return and cultivate with peace of mind.
Jun Wen was the last to collect the space bag from Wang Liang. With a frown on his face, he gave Wang Liang a long, hard stare.
Wang Liang gave him an amicable smile and said earnestly, “I’ll have to trouble you this time, Jun Wen. You’re also aware that all the animals are defiant and rebellious. Not only has the lord entrusted me with the mission this time, but it also concerns the whole of the tiger species.
“To convince all of them so that they’ll obediently carry out their missions and increase the tigers’ strength overall, I can only get you to shoulder a little more to show our fairness and impartiality.
“Don’t worry. When the time comes, I’ll definitely report how much hard work you did to the lord.”
Jun Wen gave Wang Liang another long, hard stare before he said coldly, “Thanks a lot, then.”
“It’s something I should do,” replied a smiling Wang Liang seriously.
Jun Wen then strode off. A disdainful smile surfaced as Wang Liang took a few looks at him.
Suddenly, Wang Shan walked over and spoke with great displeasure.
Roar~!
“Old Second, you’re so useless. To think you actually gave Jun Wen that little work.”
His words took Wang Liang by surprise. Then, he glared dryly at the fool. Was that only a ‘little work’?
If he were to increase the workload, everyone would be able to tell that he was beating down Jun Wen.
Too lazy to bother with the fool, Wang Liang wanted to leave.
Roar~!
“Old Second, you fool. You’ve let such a good opportunity slip by you. Just you wait. The next time we spar with each other, I definitely won’t show you any mercy.” The moment Wang Shan saw Wang Liang’s reaction, he spoke with even more dissatisfaction.
Wang Liang almost choked at his brother’s threat. Exasperation and fury filled him. When had that scoundrel ever shown him any mercy?
Why wasn’t that dumbass in the list of mission participants?
Otherwise, I’ll definitely take ‘good care’ of him.
He let out a cold snort, quickened his footsteps, and left. He really didn’t wish to see that dumbass behind him that only knew how to rely on brute force.
Just wait. That dumbass would eventually fall into his clutches someday. When that happened, he would properly settle all the scores with that fool.
If he didn’t teach his brother a good lesson, his name of Old Second would be in vain.
The lively and boisterous mission commenced. All the animals tore off the flesh from the carcasses and stored them into their space bags. Then, they followed the map and delivered them to the tigers they were in charge of.
Those with spouses even got their spouses to help with tearing off the flesh so that they would only need to deliver them once they were done.
A supervisor was naturally essential in the mission, and this supervisor was none other than He Dingtian. After all, he could fly, so his speed was the fastest.
Wang Hu and Di Baijun didn’t pay any attention to the bustle. Instead, they cultivated and recuperated in peace.
Even the two little fellows were pestering them a lot less ever since the two gained a bunch of little friends.
This went on until Li Aimin called again one day later.
“Your Excellency, the representatives of each country haven’t changed their minds. All of them would like to pay you a visit no matter what,” said Li Aimin fairly seriously.
Wang Hu frowned, somewhat surprised. He had already stated that he was going into seclusion; hence, he would only send other tigers to receive them even if they came. Yet, they actually still wanted to visit regardless.
After less than a second’s consideration, he said calmly and aloofly, “Since they would like to come, then go ahead.”
“Alright, I’ll inform them about it. I’ll inform Your Excellency when the representatives of each country have decided when they would like to visit,” said Li Aimin with a nod.
“You don’t have to inform me about it anymore.” Wang Hu’s tone was cold and aloof as he said, “My wife and I are going into seclusion very soon. You can liaise with my second brother about the upcoming matters instead. I’ll send you his number.”
Li Aimin raised an eyebrow. Instead of becoming angry, he was rather happy instead. He chuckled and said, “Alright. We’ll liaise with your second brother from now on instead.”
After they hung up, two meters away, Di Baijun frowned slightly and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“Nothing much. It’s just the other countries. After seeing me kill so many Third Realm cultivators, all the other countries can’t sit still anymore and want to make our acquaintance, that’s all.”
Wang Hu spoke with a relaxed smile as though he didn’t think much of the matter at all. There were even hints of smugness in his voice when he spoke to Silly Girl.
As expected, Di Baijun gave him a disdainful glance as though saying ‘That’s nothing. What’s there to be so smug about?’
Then, she asked, “Don’t you intend to meet them?”
“Do you want to meet them?” Wang Hu countered with another question instead.
“Hmph, a bunch of mortals with ulterior motives. Why would I want to meet them?” replied Di Baijun terribly coldly and haughtily without even thinking about it.
“Right? Baijun doesn’t wish to meet them, and neither do I. Rather, it isn’t time for us to meet them just yet, so there’s not much point to it. I’ll just get Old Second to meet them instead,” said Wang Hu as though he was alluding to something.
Then, Wang Hu paused for a moment before he frowned slightly and said, “Since we’ve decided not to meet them, if we stay here, in the event that something requires us to show ourselves after they’ve arrived; it would be terrible.”
“What do you mean?” Di Baijun cocked an eyebrow.
Wang Hu revealed a bit of a smile that carried a hint of anticipation. He said, “Why don’t I bring you, Big Treasure, and Little Treasure somewhere, Baijun?”
“What place is it?” A faint and barely discernible foreboding feeling suddenly welled up in Di Baijun, and she asked fairly warily.
Wang Hu chuckled and lightly uttered two words in response.
…
Half an hour later, Wang Hu summoned Old Second. After giving him some instructions, he announced his seclusion and that no one was allowed to disturb him.
That evening, Old Second informed Wang Hu that the representatives from the countries would be paying Tiger King’s Cave a visit the next day.
Half an hour later, a streak of golden light flashed in the dark of the night, soundlessly flying toward the south like a lightning bolt.
More than ten seconds later, young, joyous voices of children rang out within the golden light.
“Daddy’s so fast! So fast!”
“Heh, Daddy can go even faster.”
“Even faster than the last time we brought us flying?”
“Of course.”
“Hmph. Slow down. Big Treasure and Little Treasure won’t be able to take it.”
“It’s fine. I’ve already used my divine power to protect them.”
“Mommy, Daddy. Where are we going?”
“Daddy’s bringing you to an especially fun place. However, Big Treasure and Little Treasure mustn’t transform into little tigers, okay?”
“Why?”
“Because it’ll scare a lot of children.”
…
Roughly half an hour later, in a very famous A-list city of China, slightly over 7 o’clock in the evening was an extraordinarily lively and bustling time in Beijing.
Bright lights and feasting could be seen everywhere, and many places were filled with throngs of people. The prosperous and flourishing atmosphere there was extremely strong.
The liveliest place was undoubtedly the central square.
All kinds of things—such as food, drinks, entertainment—could all be found there. It had everything.
At some point, as though soundlessly, a family of four appeared.
Among them were a man and a woman. The man wore a black casual suit while the woman wore a white coat.
At first glance, their faces and physiques seemed to be covered by a thin layer of fog. Upon closer inspection, they looked ordinary and unremarkable. The moment a person shifted their gaze away, they couldn’t remember how these faces looked anymore.
The two little fellows whose hands they were holding, however, were dressed in similar clothing—with one in black and one in white. Their big eyes on their delicate and exquisite little faces were currently widened as though in extreme astonishment and curiosity and made them look awfully adorable.
They immediately attracted every passerby’s attention. The looks of fondness on their faces—as though they wanted to come forward to hug, pinch, and kiss them—caused the two little fellows to hold on tightly to their parents’ hands somewhat timidly.
“Hmph. There are too many people here. I don’t even know what’s so fun about this place.”
“It’s livelier with more people around, isn’t it? C’mon, I’ll bring you guys around to have some good food.”
“How tiresome. I’m filled with regrets now. I shouldn’t have listened to you and come to such a place.”
“Don’t be impatient, Baijun. I promise you definitely won’t have any regrets after this.”
That’s right, the family of four that had suddenly appeared was none other than Wang Hu, Di Baijun, Big Treasure, and Little Treasure.
Wang Hu didn’t want to stay in Tiger King’s Cave, lest the various countries’ senior officials create some kind of trouble to lure them out, causing them to become entangled with these people and engage in infighting with them.
Besides, he really did want to come to the human world to take a look and have some fun. Thus, he had tried very hard to persuade Silly Girl until his mouth and tongue were all dry. The family of four then arrived at this place, intending to have a full day of fun before going back.
Di Baijun didn’t reply to Wang Hu. However, the doubt and skepticism in her eyes were obvious.
“Mommy, Daddy. Why are they all looking at Little Treasure?”
Suddenly, Little Treasure tugged on her father’s large hand and asked with a somewhat timid expression.
Even her expression that had originally been filled with astonishment and curiosity had toned down a lot.
“Yeah.” Big Treasure nodded in agreement.
A smile appeared on Wang Hu’s face. With some smugness and pride, he smiled and replied comfortingly, “That’s because Big Treasure and Little Treasure are so adorable. All of them like Big Treasure and Little Treasure very much.”
Beside him, a hint of a gentle smile had also surfaced on Di Baijun’s face.
“Really?” Little Treasure looked delighted right away.
“Of course,” replied Wang Hu definitively.
He and Silly Girl definitely had to hide their appearances when they brought the rest of their family out with them. Otherwise, it was obvious how big of a commotion they would cause. What were they to do? They were simply too perfect.
However, the two little fellows naturally wouldn’t need to. Otherwise, what was the point of bringing them out?
Those people could just continue to be green with envy.
Hehe!
His smile widened a few notches. Even so, he felt that it wasn’t enough yet, and he reached out and gently pinched Big Treasure and Little Treasure each on their little faces.
As he took in the envy and jealousy around him that had intensified even further, Wang Hu led them into the central square.
“Let’s go. Daddy will buy you things to eat. You can eat anything you want.”
“Okay! Daddy’s the best!”
“Big Treasure wants to eat that.”
“Okay. Big Treasure, Little Treasure. You can speak Mandarin here. Haven’t the two of you already learned it?”
“There are so many people here! So much more than what we have at home.”
“Sho pretty! It’s a wittle tiger.”
…
Soon, the family of four disappeared into the crowd without being particularly eye-catching.
It was just that the two especially adorable little fellows’ and the two adults’ hands seemed to be carrying an endless supply of various snacks, which looked fairly unusual. However, it was still far ways off from attracting unusual looks from others.
Half an hour later…
“Try this, Baijun. Just try a bite.”
“No, I’m not eating that trash.”
“Just try a bite. If it’s not good, then we won’t eat it anymore.”
A certain cold and haughty woman reluctantly took a bite.
Half a minute later, while her husband was buying new snacks with the two children, the snacks in the woman’s hand rapidly diminished.
“Mommy, I wanna eat a roast corn cob,” a young, childish voice called out happily.
“There isn’t any left,” the woman’s cool voice rang out.
“There isn’t? But there was still some left just now. I haven’t eaten it yet.” The childish voice was full of puzzlement.
“Big Treasure has eaten it all,” replied the woman definitively.
“Huh? Big Treasure didn’t eat it, Mommy.” Another young voice rang out.
“Big Treasure remembered wrongly. You’re the one that ate it,” said the woman with great certainty.
“Oh.”
