This Earth Is A Bit Fearsome

Chapter 690 - Third Tier of Divine Transformation Realm

Chapter 690: Third Tier of Divine Transformation Realm

As its name suggested, the Blood Phoenix Fruit did resemble a blood-colored phoenix.

The fruit emanated a surprisingly thick medicinal fragrance that invigorated anyone who smelled it. One whiff was enough to make one feels as if one’s pores would all open on their own, raising one’s powers by a certain margin.

Despite the increment being only at a low percentage, that effect was nonetheless considerable. It was worth noting that Lu Xuan’s powers were nothing short of extremely formidable. Even growth at such a low percentage would’ve still been considered significant.

Lu Xuan mumbled to himself, “Good thing I’m on the farm now. Otherwise, there’s no doubt that I would’ve drawn the attention of all those beasts out there.”

Such treasured fauna strongly attracted the ferocious beasts that were out there roaming the woods.

Those beasts that roamed the woods possessed sharper senses when compared to human cultivators. More importantly, human cultivators usually stuck to the nearby towns and cities. Even if they were to venture into the woods, they wouldn’t be staying around for long; many of those beasts and monsters dwelled in such places, making them their territories.

Human cultivators would’ve been no match for these beasts.

As such, human cultivators would’ve usually had no luck getting their hands on such treasures before the monsters took the treasures for themselves. Only a handful of human cultivators would’ve been fortunate enough to have even gotten close to such treasures before they were taken away.

If the Blood Phoenix Fruit was somewhere out in the wild, the plant itself would have most likely been devoured whole by some of those beasts and monsters.

While those beasts were usually very powerful, they still severely lacked intellectual capacity; all of their actions were based solely on their natural instincts. Given that, they would’ve usually done as their gut told them to and uprooted the entire plant.

Only a handful of such monsters would’ve developed enough of an advanced level of intelligence to realize that they shouldn’t be doing something like that.

One way or another, the fruits all went to Lu Xuan.

“I’d better hurry.”

As he extended his hand, all three fruits from the Blood Phoenix plant instantly fell into his hand. He then immediately laid down a barrier and began eating the fruits without hesitation.

He had also extended the range of his will to its limits, enveloping the entire farm with it in the process. He would’ve detected the presence of that young man in blood-red attire or that Geng Metal beast as soon as either of them came close to him.

Raging medicinal power surged within his body. He was able to feel this newfound power merging with his own powers, causing them to vibrate inside of him.

He went on to immediately put the Taixu Origin Power to work, internalizing the raging medicinal power without letting anything stop him.

Naturally, his comprehension of the levels was very high. A cultivator’s comprehension of the levels had nothing to do with the limits of their growth between levels.

The Blood Phoenix Fruit was exactly what he needed to facilitate such growth.

His ample experience allowed the powers of the Blood Phoenix Fruit to be quickly internalized within mere moments.

Boom!

His powers rumbled and spiked to new heights, growing further from the peak of his original foundations.

That feat was incredible on its own; he immediately began to make a breakthrough into the third tier of the Divine Transformation Realm.

The third tier of the Divine Transformation Realm was something that he could’ve attained whenever he wanted. His powers kept growing exponentially.

He was hardly able to contain the growth of his powers. They leaked through his pores, conjuring terrifying tornados around him.

He had enough sense to place a barrier that kept everything inside contained around him beforehand. That way, he could avoid creating too much commotion and alerting the two parties who were still fighting with one another.

Based on how the two sides fought intensely with one another, Lu Xuan was able to sense how frighteningly powerful that Geng Metal beast truly was. Given that the beast was constructed out of Geng Metal, it possessed a level of resilience like no other. While that young man in blood-red attire was powerful, his attacks still failed to penetrate the beast’s defenses.

On the other hand, the beast emanated an extremely powerful killing aura. This aura alone was enough to repel the young man.

Since he had to go against such a puppet that excelled in both offense and defense, there were few openings to speak of. The young man in blood-red attire could do nothing about it.

Lu Xuan could imagine the young man cursing as hard as he could at that moment. Geng Metal of the West was already as scarce as is. Even adding bits of it into one’s power item alone would’ve been enough to increase its powers so much that even the smallest amounts would’ve easily doubled the powers of such an item.

That young man never expected anyone to have been wasteful enough to craft puppets entirely out of Geng Metal of the West. That made such a beast so formidable both in offense and defense that it had no weakness to speak of.

As a result, there was probably only one way to defeat that Geng Metal beast: waiting for the spiritual power at its core to be completely drained.

Even so, that Geng Metal beast puppet was built with formations specifically for absorbing ambient spiritual qi. That allowed it to continuously convert ambient spiritual qi to power its functions.

Had that not been the case, the beast would have been dead a long time ago. In reality, all of those puppets had similar formations built into them, which almost made them a kind of perpetual motion machine.

As such, it was almost impossible to wear the beast down using attrition warfare. That young man would’ve drained much of his energy until he was completely out of it.

Both parties seemed incapable of doing anything to the other. This worked in Lu Xuan’s favor, as that bought him time to grow his powers even further.

However, that didn’t mean he could afford to let his guard down. He knew that as soon as the two stopped fighting for whatever reason, either of them would’ve posed an insurmountable, overwhelming threat to him.

Of course, he could still escape in that case. He was confident enough to escape unscathed, but doing so would’ve left him with far less loot to take with him.

If he could make a breakthrough while the two were still fighting each other, however, he would then be able to meddle in the fight and cause both sides to fall. From there, he could pick up the spoils.

Time was of the essence.

Right now, nothing was more important than time.

He frantically raced against time, amplifying the Taixu Origin Power to its limits as he internalized all the ingested powers. If someone could the level that Lu Xuan was currently at, they would have probably been frightened to death.

That was because he was quite literally internalizing the fruits’ powers at the speed of lightning. This was 10 times faster than the typical rate, perhaps even reaching 20 to 30 times the usual rate.

As his powers continued to grow, he quickly reached the limit at the second tier of the Divine Transformation Realm.

Boom!

As a rumble rang out around him, terrifying powers instantly emanated from his body.

He finished making his breakthrough in a mere instant, breaking through his initial limitations.

He actually managed to break into the third tier of the Divine Transformation Realm in one go.

Normally, it would’ve taken several tries to make such a breakthrough. Cases of people doing so over a dozen or even tens of attempts were not unusual.

Since these people lacked the necessary experience to do so, they had to figure out for themselves how to go about it on their own.

They would’ve only been able to make a complete breakthrough after having accumulated an ample amount of experience.

Lu Xuan was different; he didn’t lack experience at all. Fueled by the power of the Blood Phoenix Fruits, he was almost capable of instantly making a breakthrough into the third tier of the Divine Transformation Realm.

As a result, his powers grew exponentially.
