Chapter 6890: Break The Rules
“Your Highness, calamity looms outside, we need someone to rise to the occasion.” Fire Immortal bowed.
“That is the job and responsibility of the leader.” Guangmai said.
“Our current leader, Gu Chun, has abandoned us, afraid of the challenges. We wish to expel him and remove Dark Realm’s authority.” Immortal Devourer said.
“A baseless accusation, Dark Realm is here to fight.” God Messenger said.
“Where is your leader? Clearly hid in a cave, afraid of Guardian’s might.” Immortal Devourer said.
“Enough disrespect.” Controller conjured the light of a world behind him, shooting it at Immortal Devourer.
They had followed Immortal Emperor Gu Chun and respected him, never doubting his courage.
“I’m merely speaking the truth.” Immortal Devourer nullified it with his cauldron: “He surely has other thoughts, just not about the alliance. I don’t blame him, he’s from the nine worlds.”
“He established rules to lay a proper foundation for the alliance and prevented further decline.” Controller said.
The rules of Gu Chun gave order to the chaotic world. It benefited the young and weak, minimizing self-cannibalism.
If Gu Chun were only a primordial immortal, these three messengers wouldn’t have shown him so much respect.
“Where is he right now? The ancestral creed is for the leader to fight with his followers.” Guangmai said.
“He must be in isolated cultivation.” Controller said.
“Nothing is more important than the summoning horn.” Guangmai spoke calmly but his words echoed in everyone’s ears.
“I agree, we had our own business but still came here running.” A vagrant immortal said.
This was indeed the truth. Some were refining pills; others were cultivating; a few were even fighting. Nevertheless, they still dropped everything to return.
“One must be held accountable for their actions, whether it be the leader or regular members. You should know this, messengers.” Guangmai said.
The three couldn’t refute this due to the emperor’s absence.
“First, he will be removed from his position.” Guangmai said: “Does anyone disagree?”
“I wholeheartedly agree, Your Highness.” Fire Immortal said: “He is no longer eligible to rule.”
“I agree as well.” Immortal Devourer wanted this outcome in the first place.
Devouring Abyss and Fallen Ten’s members also expressed their consent.
The ten vagrant immortals and sixty-seven overlords glanced at the three messengers who didn’t look too well.
“We agree.” They spoke up.
They didn’t like the outsider, nor did they like the rules. After all, they joined to devour. The restrictions changed everything. Alas, he was too powerful before.
Now, Guangmai had enough status and power to change this. Only those from Dark Realm disagreed since they had benefited from Gu Chun’s position and ruled in his absence.
