Chapter 6884: Pulling The Curtain

The Ten Vagrant Immortals and many more returned to Stygian, including sixty-seven overlords from all subfactions.

Emperors and ancient ancestors weren’t qualified to join this battle, unable to survive the remnant shockwaves.

“Guardian, we’re ready to play until the end.” An overlord shouted.

Solidarity was essential when the enemies waited at the gate.

“Come if you dare.” Another shouted.

“Pull the curtain.” Immortal Devourer said.

“So be it.” Fallen Ten’s members agreed with him.

“Do it.” Someone from Dark Realm gave the order.

“Buzz.” The old headquarters of the alliance was shrouded in darkness. This also applied to the other factions.

Thick darkness poured down like a curtain, never letting Stygian go. This curtain was the manifestation of Stygian’s dark power.

This prevented outsiders from spying on them. A direct invasion was necessary. Moreover, it also strengthened fallen cultivators while weakening foreigners. This played a large part in why other worlds couldn’t take down Devouring Alliance.

As long as they chose to hide in Stygian, wiping them out proved to be a difficult task. The only place in Stygian with light left was Golden Lamp.

“Prepare the ten pillars for the grand momentum, Devouring Abyss guards the center, Fallen Ten’s immortal support the pillars, the rest cover the rear...” Immortal Devourer ordered.

“Dark Realm will take the center. All obey our orders.” One of the Penta-stars interrupted.

All eyes were on Immortal Devourer and Linked Penta-stars.

In the past, Fallen Ten had led each war and issued orders. Now, Dark Realm was in charge so it should be the one to give orders. Although Immortal Emperor Gu Chun was absent, the Pentar-stars were still here.

“Immortal Devourer is our strongest golden immortal, he should be the one leading.” Mirage said.

“He is the only one who can preside over this precarious situation.” Extinguish said, signalling Fallen Ten’s support.

“A golden immortal has to control the grand momentum, that’s the only way to use it to its maximum potential.” Netherlight said.

The other immortals and overlords nodded in agreement.

“In the absence of our leader, the strongest has to take charge.” Big-foot Immortal spoke. His words carried weight since he had been around since Mang’s generation.

“We will have a greater chance of victory with a golden immortal leading.” Nefarious Immortal said.

Linked Penta-stars certainly didn’t like this development, feeling as if they were pushed toward the cliff.

With the enemies at the gate, Immortal Devourer gathered all of the alliance’s main fighting forces. This was no different than an official conference.

If he were to lead this battle, it would establish his position in the alliance. He never had an opportunity like this before.
