Chapter 6879: Immortal Dao Skyshaker
Netherlight and the others became trapped within the array.
“Dark Desire!” Extinguish and the others unleashed a dark power.
Various desires empowered their dao. Of course, they were affected by this power. As immortals, letting their desires run rampant affected their dao heart.
The fall of the dao heart on top of burning their life force made them writhe in agony.
“Skyshaker!” Tun Ri’s group began again, increasing the intensity of the high heaven’s roar and seizing the upper hand.
During their stay in Immortal Dao City, they devoted their time to researching a dao that would enable them to fight as one. They fused their dao and through vibrations, they imitated the roar of the high heaven. Each roar was more intense and powerful than the previous.
This was the reason why they could defeat older immortals despite their shorter dao debut. In a one-on-one fight, they wouldn’t have any advantage in the slightest.
The situation infuriated the fallen immortals. They were forced to switch to a defensive stance and couldn’t work together well enough. Nevertheless, the other side would find it difficult to defeat them in a short time.
“Not bad at all, not bad at all.” Immortal Devourer walked forward and shouted: “Break.”
He summoned a cauldron to hit the array. It flipped the river of time over, causing chaotic instability.
“Fellow Daoist, you’re getting impatient.” A pleasant voice interrupted him. Next came a jade piece with a verdant glow.
The jade seemed to have a special liquid flowing through it, containing the essences of natural ice crystals accumulated through the epochs. It appeared unbreakable and could be a pillar propping up any sky.
It stabilized the river of time instantly and forced Immortal Devourer back. He looked and saw a youth with a fluttering robe. He floated in space with starlight beneath his feet, looking free and transcending even for immortal standards.
He appeared to be destined for greatness, possessing the style of a celestial immortal before becoming one.
“Who are you?” Immortal Devourer asked, aware that this youth was a mighty foe.
“Many flatter me with the title, Blessed.” The youth said.
“Another from the nine worlds.” Immortal Devourer grumbled.
“I was born a bit later in eight desolaces.” He smiled.
“Either way, still deserve to die.” Immortal Devourer said.
“I feel the same way regarding your Devouring Alliance.” He said: “Although I am weak, the seniors and brothers of Guardian Alliance will bring peace to Stygian.”
“Hahaha, is that so? Min Ren who was a celestial immortal couldn’t finish the task. Little juniors, you think too highly of yourselves.” Immortal Devourer chuckled.
“Your alliance has grown weak, only having ten immortals or so, and two or three primordial immortals. Now, Gu Chu and Skyshroud aren’t here. Who else can take charge?” The youth said earnestly.
Immortal Devourer didn’t appreciate the youth’s implicative remark about his inability to lead.
“We are not afraid of your alliance. We have planted our roots into Stygian, outsiders have no idea.” Immortal Devourer said.
It was true that fully liberating was an arduous task, if not impossible. Even if Guardian could crush the immortals of Devouring Alliance, the latter could always escape to their hidden lairs.
Moreover, Guardian couldn’t restore Stygian to its former glory. The hidden immortals could also return one day.
This was the reason why outsiders thought Stygian was hopeless.
“We can start with killing you all today.” The youth said with a smile laden with murderous intent.
“We’ll see about that.” Immortal Devourer raised his cauldron.
“Please give me pointers.” The youth said politely, not seizing the first chance.
