Chapter 3143: This Big Sis Was Busy, Alright?
It was hard to find a monster in such a noisy and crowded bar.
Wen Xing’s copper coins weaved through the crowd on the dance floor. Wen Xing and Ning Shu squeezed into the dance floor to catch up with the copper coins in front of them.
Ning Shu struggled to squeeze through but was blocked by a man dancing wildly in front of her, swaying his head and hands as if he wanted to pull her into the dance.
Ning Shu tried to move around him, but the man twisted his waist and continued to block her path. She was losing sight of Wen Xing and, in frustration, smacked the dancing man out of her way. This big sis was busy, alright?
Ning Shu quickly caught up with Wen Xing. Then, she asked, “Are we heading to the restroom?”
“Probably.”
Thanks to her spiritual consciousness, she could already see the restroom sign.
As they got closer, her spiritual consciousness passed through the wall, allowing her to see the restroom’s condition and hear a faint cracking sound.
Ning Shu hurried into the restroom, where blood was oozing out from one of the stalls.
The sound of struggle had stopped inside, meaning whoever was there was already dead.Wen Xing put his coins, then indicated for Ning Shu to take a couple steps back so he could kick open the door.
After a moment’s thought, Ning Shu stepped aside and let Wen Xing open it. If it were some other creature, Ning Shu wouldn’t hesitate, but with this type of thing…
She was scared of getting pregnant.
Wen Xing reached out to open the door, which had been locked from the inside. It seemed the victim had kicked the door during the struggle and damaged it. Wen Xing pulled, and the door opened.
Inside, a monster with a long tail was sprawled on a person lying in a pool of blood, gnawing messily on the body. The tadpole-like creature, which was about the size of a washbasin, used its tail to prop up its head and then launched itself at Wen Xing with immense force, slamming him against the wall.
Its gaping mouth aimed for Wen Xing’s face, but Ning Shu delivered a powerful spinning kick and sent the creature flying with it.
It hit the wall and landed on the ground, squealing in pain.
Wen Xing handed Ning Shu a piece of golden thread and pointed to the corner of the wall, “You go over there.”
Ning Shu: …
Despite her reluctance, Ning Shu wrapped the golden thread around her palm twice. Wen Xing held the other end. He intended to tie it around the creature.
The creature squealed aggressively and darted around. It tried to escape and charged straight at Ning Shu.
“Wrap it with the thread!” Wen Xing shouted to Ning Shu.
Ning Shu kicked the creature into the air and quickly wrapped the thread around its body.
“Pull hard,” Wen Xing said, pulling hard on the other end of the thread. Ning Shu pulled too, and the golden thread began cutting into the monster’s body. Blood sprayed from where the thread sliced, staining the floor and filling the air with a fishy smell.
The monster struggled violently; the more it fought, though, the further the golden thread cut into its flesh. Blood trickled from Ning Shu’s hands as the thread dug into her skin.
“Give it all you’ve got! Let’s finish this,” Wen Xing yelled. Ning Shu felt the thread sink deeper into the monster’s muscle. The monster’s agonized screams filled the air.
D*mn it. It was so painful. She certainly felt like she was taking out a thousand enemies while losing eight hundred of her own. She glanced over at Wen Xing, only to see he had put on gloves at some point.
This b*stard. Where was his team spirit? Couldn’t he have given her a pair of gloves too?
