Chapter 1255: FIRST DAY ALONE TOGETHER

"ARE Uncle Yi Mu and Uncle Yue at home?" Luo Yan asked.

He sat in the passenger seat of Shen Ji Yun's car as they drove toward the house Shen Ji Yun shared with his uncle and now his uncle's partner as well.

Just as they had planned on Monday, Luo Yan would be staying at Shen Ji Yun's house for the next three days. He had already taken care of everything he needed to do before military training started the following week.

He had completed his medical check-up, received his full schedule for the semester, and met both his academic advisor and his counselor. The day before, he had also attended the freshman orientation. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened. Just the usual welcome speeches from university officials, a campus tour led by upperclassmen, icebreaker activities that felt a little awkward, and plenty of pamphlets about campus clubs and resources. It was all very standard, exactly what he had expected.

So, with no schedule for the next three days, well it was actually four days, but he had to return to the dorm on Sunday before military training started on Monday, he was free to spend his time exactly how he wished.

He had asked Bai Ze to cover for him so his father would not find out he was not staying in the dorm. That meant confirming he was still on campus and definitely not spending days alone with his boyfriend. Of course, this was just in case his father called his cousin and asked the other about him.

Since his relationship with Shen Ji Yun was still a secret from his father, he could not tell him he was spending three days at Shen Ji Yun's house. He was not sure he could explain it without making his father suspicious.

He already felt guilty for keeping his relationship hidden from his father. But he believed it was not the right time to tell him yet. He had just started college. If he told his father now, he worried the other might even pull him out of university just to keep him away from Shen Ji Yun.

Luo Yan knew he could not keep it a secret forever. He did plan to tell his father about their relationship. Soon. Just not right now.

His thoughts were interrupted when Shen Ji Yun answered his earlier question.

Shen Ji Yun shifted slightly in his seat. He kept his eyes fixed on the road ahead, avoiding Luo Yan's gaze as he spoke in a slightly hesitant tone. "Uh… both are actually in S City right now. Uncle Yue is wrapping up some things before moving to B City. Uncle went with him."

He cleared his throat softly, looking like a kid who'd just been caught sneaking candy before dinner.

Luo Yan was surprised at first by the news. But when he noticed Shen Ji Yun's awkward expression, he could not help feeling amused instead. "When will they be back?"

Shen Ji Yun cleared his throat again. "On Saturday."

Luo Yan's lips curved into a playful smile, his tone light and teasing. "I see. So we'll have the house to ourselves for the next two days." He tilted his head, eyes glinting with gentle amusement. "Tell me, Brother Ji Yun, when exactly did you find out Uncle Yi Mu and Uncle Yue wouldn't be home during the first two days of my stay? Was it before or after I suggested coming over?"

"...Before," Shen Ji Yun admitted, his expression clearly guilty. "Please don't be angry. I was so excited that I honestly forgot to mention it. And when I remembered, I was afraid you might change your mind about coming. So… I'm sorry."

Luo Yan chuckled softly, his voice warm and light. "There's no need to apologize. And why would I change my mind? If anything, it would only make me want to stay even more."

Shen Ji Yun's awkward expression softened into something brighter. "Really?"

"Really," Luo Yan replied, gently pinching Shen Ji Yun's cheek. "Who wouldn't want two whole days alone with their handsome boyfriend?" He let his hand drop, adding in a lighter tone, "Just imagine all the things we could do with no one around."

When Shen Ji Yun heard that, he swallowed hard. All the things they could do…? A rush of images not fit for kids flooded his mind, and his grip on the steering wheel tightened. He accidentally swerved slightly to the left before catching himself, his heart pounding. He took a slow, deep breath to steady his nerves before he ended up causing an accident.

No, he should not let his thoughts run wild like that. Doing it for the first time in his own room just did not feel right. Call him a hopeless romantic or whatever, but he really wanted their first time to be something truly special. From the location to the mood to every little detail, it had to be perfect. And his home was not that place.

On the other hand, Luo Yan saw Shen Ji Yun's flustered expression and immediately guessed what was on his mind, at least the part about them being intimate. Unlike Shen Ji Yun, he was fully open to the idea. He even felt it was about time they took that step. But since he did not realize Shen Ji Yun had no plans to act on those thoughts anytime soon, he was likely in for some disappointment. Unless, of course, he found a way to 'gently persuade', ahem, seduce, Shen Ji Yun to change his mind.

They soon arrived at their destination. After Shen Ji Yun parked the car, he picked up Luo Yan's small luggage and walked toward the front door. Luo Yan followed closely behind him.

"I already cleaned the guest room. It's right next to mine," Shen Ji Yun said as he stepped inside.

Luo Yan closed the door behind them, a playful glint in his eyes. "Why waste a perfectly good guest room? I'd much rather sleep in your bed."

Shen Ji Yun stumbled slightly when he heard those words.
