Chapter 354 - Complete Annihilation

Chapter 354: Complete Annihilation

White Ape’s explosive strength when he was at his full size was terrifying. Even Lin Jin was at a loss for words, which isn’t surprising given how White Ape had never truly unleashed his full power and size prior to this incident.

It was also a convenient opportunity for White Ape to vent its pent-up energy.

However, it also spelled disaster for those on Turtle Island.

Most of the people and pet beasts on that island couldn’t match up to White Ape but there were a scarce few experts who could. It was now up to Lin Jin to deal with these folks, who may pose a threat to White Ape.

One of them invoked a spell, turning his fifty feet long water snake into thrice its length with a similar diameter with White Ape’s arm. Another gigantic beast had entered the arena.

Judging by its rank, the creature should be at the peak of Rank 3. In other words, they could not afford to underestimate it.

In addition, there was another strange bird that grew up to half of White Ape’s height. With the snake, it entered into a coordinated pincer attack on White Ape.

While the other beasts couldn’t get too large in size, those at Rank 3 could at least grow up to five times their original size. If they all attacked at once, there was a high chance of taking down their enemy.

However, the fact still remains that the biggest threat to White Ape was actually a demonic appraiser, rather than the pet beasts.

This man discreetly performed a spell as he pushed down quite a few tall water tanks. In an instant, streams of jet-black and murky dark blood flowed into the lake.

As if the liquid had a will of its own, it gradually gathered into a blob under the spell’s influence and made its way toward White Ape. Currently engaged in battle, White Ape was having the time of his life so he couldn’t possibly have noticed what was happening underwater.

But Lin Jin did.

“Another sneak attack? How despicable.” Lin Jin shook his head. Pointing his finger at the lake, he summoned Dragonfire.

“Incinerate!”

A burst of flames instantly plunged into the water, but the strangest thing was, rather than being extinguished, the flames continued to burn after coming in contact with water. It took only seconds for the lake’s water to boil over and for a massive cloud of steam to cover the compound.

Some of the malicious beasts hidden in the lake waters were simply boiled to death. Only the stronger ones managed to survive. Lin Jin didn’t use Dragonfire for the sake of heating up the lake water. Instead, he wanted to exterminate that strange pile of dark blood.

He was able to sense how dangerous that blood was. Even though he was standing onshore, he felt threatened by its presence.

If the blood came were to come in contact with White Ape, Lin Jin had no idea what would happen so to stay on the safe side, he made sure to boil it all to nothingness.

Most of the dark blood was reduced to ashes upon making contact with Dragonfire. Still, Lin Jin found it peculiar how the dark blood was so difficult to remove. Even with Dragonfire, it took quite some time to burn the liquid before the threat was eradicated completely.

These demonic appraisers clearly had some powerful tactics in their arsenal.

When they saw how Lin Jin had used fire to eliminate the dark blood inside the lake, Elder Song and his group were petrified.

It was exactly because they feared that the dark blood would be burned by Lin Jin’s attack that they chose to dump it into the water. This Soul-Purging Blood was created from the slaughtering of hundreds of innocent pet beasts. Not only could the vengeful liquid murder other beasts with ease, but its greatest advantage was also how even Rank 4 pet beasts couldn’t fight it off.

It took them several years of consistent effort to create the several tanks’ worth of blood. To think it was all destroyed in the blink of an eye.

“The enemy cannot be defeated by brute force! Retreat at once!” As a man of experience, Elder Song knew that they were fighting a losing battle. Ignoring the fact that that monkey was able to effortlessly fend off hundreds of pet beasts on its own, this man was somehow able to boil off an entire lake in mere seconds. That made him stronger than all of them combined.

Only those who had a death wish or had loose screws in their heads would opt to continue the battle after such developments.

Though, where would they retreat to? How would they do it?

“Elder Song, our boats have been destroyed. There’s nowhere to go,” a person shouted in despair.

It was then that Elder Song realized the predicament they had unknowingly stumbled into.

This man had planned to exterminate them all from the beginning. With that being the case, how could they flee?

In an instant, Elder Song’s eyes became bloodshot. “We’ll have to fight him then. Send out the thousand-mile bat to inform headquarters!”

Someone rushed off to do that.

On the other side, with his massive grip strength, White Ape had forcefully grabbed the large water snake by its neck. The water snake bared its fangs at him. It was trying to tear chunks off White Ape’s body while the rest of its body wrapped around White Ape’s arm and waist. The water snake began to constrict, perhaps in an attempt to asphyxiate the simian to death.

Before this, it tried to strike White Ape’s neck but he was able to dodge the attack in time. That was why it got caught in White Ape’s death grip in the first place.

The two gigantic beasts were now competing in terms of raw strength.

Due to their massive size, the other pet beasts couldn’t even interject, save for that large bird who was being trampled on by White Ape. No matter how it struggled to break free, its efforts were futile. The creature ended up being crushed to death under the combined weight of the ape and the snake.

White Ape was so occupied with dealing with the water snake that he didn’t have time to deal with the bird.

The water snake continued to tighten its grip around White Ape’s body. Its jaw was also wide open as it continued to snap at its enemy. White Ape grabbed the snake with both hands and was in the midst of pushing it away when out of a sudden, he saw an opportunity. With all his might, White Ape extended an arm and seized the water snake’s neck.

By now, the water snake’s mouth was only several feet away from White Ape. It was seconds away from tearing off its face.

“To hell with you!” White Ape had long been annoyed by this water snake. It wasn’t exactly strong but it was slippery and irritating to fight against. There were many times when White Ape managed to grab it, but it would slide out of his hands easily.

Now that he finally got a good hold on the snake, White Ape wouldn’t let this opportunity go to waste. He held on tightly with both hands no matter how hard the water snake tried to struggle. Gradually, he increased the tightness of his grip.

Then, everyone heard a loud crack. The water snake’s bones were snapped cleanly in two and the next instant, White Ape simply tore the water snake’s head off.

The gruesome move ended up showering Turtle Island with warm, metallic-smelling snake blood.

With the water snake dealt with, the other pet beasts wouldn’t be a challenge at all. With a forceful stomp of his foot, the large bird turned into mush. The demonic appraisers’ pet beasts were now in disarray.

A dozen arrows were fired this way and White Ape blocked them with one arm. Subsequently, his eyes turned bloodshot as he let out a thunderous roar before smashing a fist into the ground.

The punch caused an explosive boom.

Then came a low rumble.

Massive cracks started appearing all across Turtle Island. Paired with Dark Wind and monstrous energy, White Ape’s punch not only broke the island in half, but he also made the occupants of the island spew blood. Those who were already injured simply widened their eyes and dropped dead.

None of them could parry such an attack.

Lin Jin stopped White Ape. He had some questions for these demonic appraisers so he needed a few of them alive. Stepping forward on his cloud steps, Lin Jin arrived on the island.

The island was now a wreck. Most of the halls and buildings had collapsed into rubble. Half the islanders were dead while the other half were injured. The only person still standing was Elder Song.

Lin Jin approached him.

There was blood at the corner of Elder Song’s mouth. That water snake from earlier was his pet beast. When White Ape forcibly tore off the creature’s head, Elder Song suffered devastating feedback, and when White Ape punched the island in half, the terrifying force had damaged Elder Song’s internal organs. At this point, he was already at death’s door. However, due to his significant cultivation, the old man was still able to stand on his feet.
