I Might Be A Fake Cultivator

Chapter 987

Chapter 987: Visiting the Sect

After surveying the spirit stone mine for a while, everyone settled down nearby.

Not long after that, a silvery-white circular flying device flew over to them at a blinding speed before landing beside everyone. The cabin doors opened, and many cultivators in purple robes emerged from within.

At the forefront of the group was a tall and slender beauty.

“An Lin, I really didn’t think you would be able to take care of things by yourself here.” The woman made her way toward him with a hint of appreciation in her eyes.

An Lin was a little displeased by her slightly condescending words. “Big Sister Bai, this was a crisis for our sect, but you were too busy fiddling around with your technology to provide reinforcements! How could you?”

That’s right, the woman who had appeared before them was the most powerful being within the Four Nine Immortal Sect, Bai Ling.

Behind her were the cultivators from the Purple Star Pavilion.

“Aw, don’t be like that. I heard that you were heading over, so I decided to leave things to you. And my decision was right! I heard that you crushed Ao Meng and Ao Qingyu by yourself! How impressive!”

For some reason, Bai Ling was greatly elated with An Lin’s strength, to the extent that she was even talking a lot more than usual.

An Lin pursed his lips, but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he turned toward a series of strange circular objects that all of the purple-robed cultivators were carrying. A hint of curiosity appeared in his eyes as he asked, “What are those?”

“This is a Telford Micromagnetic Hadron Killing Formation. I’m planning to use this as a protective formation around these mountain ranges. This formation is powerful enough to kill Return to Void Initial Stage mighty figures and also act as an alarm system as well as vital energy regulation device,” Bai Ling explained.

An Lin gave her a thumbs-up. “Nice!”

He didn’t know what the hell this thing was, but those effects were pretty bad*ss!

The spirit stone mine was now secured.

“By the way, Big Sister Bai Ling, what are you working on in your Phoenix Small World?” An Lin heard that Bai Ling had recently engrossed herself in her research. She completely disregarded her five inner-sect core disciples. As such, he was a little curious.

A mysterious smile appeared on Bai Ling’s face. “Take a guess.”

“You must be researching for a way to maintain world peace!” An Lin snapped.

Bai Ling let loose a cry of surprise. “Impressive! You were spot on!”

An Lin rolled his eyes. “And what about your inner-sect disciples? Are you not going to instruct them anymore?”

He was beginning to sympathize with those five disciples.

They had finally managed to stave off countless competitors for a chance to become an inner-sect core disciple. Just when they thought that they would be on their way to greater things in life, their master decided to completely ignore them in preference for her research! Imagine the despair they were experiencing!

“I AM instructing them! I’ve given them all of the materials they need to read through,” Bai Ling replied with a nonchalant expression.

“What materials?” An Lin inquired.

Bai Ling rattled off the list off the top of her head, “For starters, I gave them copies of ‘Purple Star First Year Quantitative Methods 101’, ‘Spatial Microphysics Theory’, ‘Energy Superstring Theory’, ‘Vital Energy Modelling’…”

She rattled off eighteen books in one go.

An Lin’s eyes widened as he drew a sharp intake of breath.

He suddenly recalled back to the horror of his days at school in the mortal world. “This… this is what the Purple Star Pavilion is teaching?”

Bai Ling turned to him with a justified expression. “Of course! This is only the most basic foundational knowledge. After this, I’m going to teach them how to integrate this knowledge with cultivation. In any case, learning all these will be greatly beneficial to them.”

An Lin opened his mouth, but he didn’t know what to say. The sympathy in his heart for the Purple Star Pavilion disciples continued to grow.

Bai Ling continued with a smile, “Knowledge paves the way for humans to improve and innovate. If they haven’t even mastered all of this basic knowledge, how are they any different from beasts? My top priority now is to evolve the disciples of the Purple Star Pavilion from uneducated buffoons to knowledgeable human beings.”

An Lin felt like he had been stabbed in the chest, and the confused expression of an uneducated buffoon appeared on his face.

“Are they going to be able to understand all of these advanced materials?” An Lin was a little concerned.

A vibrant smile appeared on Bai Ling’s face. “I pick people based on their IQ. All of my disciples have decent levels of IQ, with Chu Ming and Zhou Yu as the two standouts. They have great lateral thinking skills and creativity.”

“I can tell they’re smart just from their names[1].” An Lin nodded.

After exploring the spirit stone mine again and organizing people to set up the protective formation around the mountain ranges, An Lin, Tina, Xiao Ze, and the others returned to the sect.

An Lin hadn’t been to the sect for a long time, so he wanted to take this chance to make a visit.

They all boarded Bai Ling’s silver flying saucer to find that the interior was quite spacious. The color tone consisted entirely of white and cream, and the whole saucer had a sci-fi feel to it. However, there were no panels of complex buttons. Instead, there were a few sofas, some snacks, a tea room, and a balcony.

Bai Ling conjured up a barrier of light around the flying saucer before setting some coordinates and putting the flying saucer into autopilot mode.

This was a highly-intelligent technological product, which did not require a pilot to control it. After all, a machine would be able to plot out a much more accurate course than a human could, and it could also completely erase the possibility of any human errors.

“This Spatial White Fairy is a little bit slower than spatial teleportation, but it’s a lot more comfortable. Hence, I often use it to get around.” Bai Ling poured some fruit wine for herself before sitting down on one of the sofas and extending her long legs before her with a smile.

“It’s not bad at all.” An Lin nodded as he looked down at the earth below him, which flashed by in a blur.

The Spatial White Fairy was the name Bai Ling had given to this aircraft, and its top speed was a lot faster than even An Lin’s top speed when flying.

Tina opened her emerald eyes widely as she surveyed everything around her with curiosity. Everything was extremely fascinating to her.

At the Four Nine Immortal Sect.

Beside a clear lake…

A woman with exquisite, gentle features and intricate dragon horns raised her head.

An invisible ripple swept through the sky above, instantly causing the clouds to dissipate.

Immediately afterward, a silvery-white flying saucer appeared before slowly descending.

“Master is back!” A joyful expression appeared on Bei Lian’s face.

She had heard about the news where Xiao Ze had accidentally killed the second son of the Dragon King and was being forced to become an eternal slave of the Dragon Court as a result. This news had truly frightened her at that time, and she immediately tried to go and save him.

She was Ao Meng’s daughter after all, and she had only been abandoned due to bloodline issues. Now that her bloodline purity had returned to its peak, her potential was unlimited, and the Dragon King might consider letting Xiao Ze go if she agreed to return to the Dragon Court.

However, she was prevented from handing herself in by Bai Ling, who assured her that An Lin would take care of everything.

Bei Lian couldn’t set forth for the Flying Ball Tribe territory, and her heart was filled with anxiety and distress.

An Lin was facing off against the entire Dragon Court! How could she not be concerned?

However, when the news of An Lin singlehandedly flipping the tables and crushing the entire Dragon Court arrived, Bei Lian felt as if she had fallen into a dream.

Was An Lin already this powerful?

Bei Lian was quite happy for him, but she was also a little disconsolate.

Back in the day, they had been comrades fighting side by side. But now, An Lin had well and truly left her in the dust to become someone even her father was no match for.

At this moment, the cabin doors to the aircraft opened.

“Master!” she yelled as she ran over to Xiao Ze with elation etched on her features. Along the way, she caught sight of an unexpected figure.

Bei Lian faltered slightly before her eyes lit up. “An Lin, you’re here as well!”

An Lin was a little disgruntled. “You should call me Grandmaster!”

Bei Lian: “…”
