Chapter 804: The Path of Starlight

How long did it take to plummet from the dark ground to the starry sky?

An Lin didn’t know just how high up the sky was in the Tai Chu Continent.

However, they weren’t actually all that far away from the starry sky in the Vast Land of Blood.

After plummeting at a high speed for close to a hundred kilometers, they crashed heavily onto a section of the starry sky.

There were three spirit beasts that were instantly reduced to mincemeat as their defenses were a bit lackluster, and they didn’t get a chance to decelerate.

Boom boom boom…

One resounding boom after another erupted as all the beasts crashed to the ground.

Their attention was no longer focused on An Lin and Xu Xiaolan. Instead, they were looking around at their surroundings with a shocked and horrified expression. The main threat to them now was the starry sky!

An Lin also turned his eyes toward his surroundings. This space was extremely bright as the stars were all around them…

They really were situated within a sea of stars this time, and dazzling starlight entered their eyes everywhere they looked.

“So many stars! I’m getting a little dizzy,” Xu Xiaolan complained.

That’s right, there really were too many stars here. Everything was shiny and radiant, and it was impossible to tell which direction was which, thus giving everyone a sense of surrealism.

An Lin couldn’t help but think of the stars in the Divine Mirror World upon seeing these stars. These weren’t actual stars either, and they were quite small, but they contained extremely mighty star power.

He couldn’t help but think back to the eyes and hands that had appeared in the starry sky. They appeared to belong to the owner of this world and were seemingly able to transform the world as they saw fit.

Could it be… that that was a God of Creation like Tina?

“Hiss!” a panicked hiss suddenly sounded.

An Lin turned to discover a huge crimson beetle running away from a pursuing star.

The crimson beetle’s body exuded a metallic sheen, and its aura was vastly powerful. It was clearly a Soul Formation Stage soul beast, but it still wasn’t as fast as the star.

However, the crimson beetle persevered in its escape as it knew it still had a chance to live!

Two stars in the sky suddenly formed a thin string of white star power between them, and it landed right in the way of the fleeing beetle.

Rip!

The beetle was too slow to react before its momentum carried it past the thin line.

The thin line cut its body cleanly in half like a steel wire cutting through tofu…

An Lin drew a sharp intake of breath upon seeing this.

A Soul Formation Initial Stage soul beast had just been slain in an instant!

The stars here were killing machines!

Some of the beasts tried to escape from the starry sky by flying into the air.

However, all of them were gnashed between the pitch-black sky and the starry ground before dying in an extremely gruesome manner, where even their bones had been pulverized to powder.

If the beasts wanted to live, they could only wait for the next Almighty Reversal!

The stars seemed to attack at random, so the beasts that walked out of here alive were not necessarily the most powerful, but they were definitely the luckiest.

In this aspect, it was quite similar to the Heavenly Judgement, in that survival essentially hinged on luck…

“Ribbit! Boss An Lin, please take me with you!” The Divine Poison Frog jumped toward An Lin.

“Moo! Ao Niu is awaiting further instructions!” Ao Niu also came to An Lin and Xu Xiaolan’s side with fawning expressions.

Even though this was a trial of luck, An Lin and Xu Xiaolan were so powerful that there might be a way for them to combat the stars.

A strong urge to live pushed both of them toward An Lin and Xu Xiaolan, and they both put on enthusiastic performances in order to curry favor.

An Lin didn’t say anything upon seeing these two beasts.

The frog also pledged its loyalty to An Lin, as if it was adamant that An Lin was the only one who could take it home.

The Peerless Saber Demon’s teeth ground together in hatred upon seeing this from the distance, but it didn’t dare to move.

This starry sky was simply far too unpredictable. Despite its power, it still had to tread with caution.

An Lin didn’t look at the groundhog anymore as he silently put away his frying pan.

He turned his eyes below him. Even though he was standing on an empty space, it was as if he was standing atop an invisible spatial force. Below him lay a dark sky with specks of starlight stretching as far as the eyes could see.

“Ah…!”

Another bloodcurdling cry erupted as the support from under a spirit beast’s feet suddenly disappeared, and its body began to plummet before being pulverized by star power!

Even if one didn’t move, there was still a chance of danger befalling them. This was the truly terrifying part about the starry sky.

An Lin did not want to remain standing rooted to the spot, where he was completely at the mercy of heaven and earth. As such, he activated his Divine Inspection Technique and looked around in an attempt to find something that he could use to escape.

Even the beast teams had not encountered this situation too many times, so there were definitely many undiscovered things here, some of which could perhaps lead to the way out!

The Divine Inspection Technique was capable of finding all weak points in the world, and it really did help An Lin discover something.

“Come with me!” An Lin suddenly made his way toward a certain direction.

Xu Xiaolan followed him without hesitation, and Ao Niu and the Divine Poison Frog also tagged along like two lackeys.

“Roar…!” Another beast was placed in a dire situation.

This was a purple lightning tiger, and it was clawing at its own face, as if it had entered some sort of frenzied, crazed state. In the end, it clawed itself to death.

All the other beasts were petrified upon seeing this. The lightning tiger had clearly fallen victim to some sort of illusionary realm before killing itself. This was absolutely terrifying to the other beasts.

They were all extremely despondent after assessing the situation they were in. There was a rate of survival of less than ten percent, and they couldn’t do anything aside from relying on their luck.

Another beast’s footing gave away, and it desperately tried to flap its wings, but a terrifying suction forced pulled it into the abyss of death.

Horrifying events like this continued.

However, an extremely baffling scene suddenly emerged.

All the beasts turned toward a certain direction with shock and befuddlement on their faces.

In the distance, An Lin was holding Xu Xiaolan’s hand as they abused single people in public!

An Lin walked with Xu Xiaolan, hand in hand, with Ao Niu and the Divine Poison Frog trailing behind them. They looked like a couple taking their beast pets for a leisurely stroll!

That’s right, they were on an unhurried, leisurely walk!

All the beasts were dumbstruck.

This was a perilous realm of life and death, but An Lin and his group were strolling through it like it was their backyard! On top of that, An Lin was even in the mood to look around and appreciate the surrounding scenery as he walked… What the hell were they doing?!

Furthermore, the starry sky under their feet seemed to be providing extremely stable footing, and the stars around them were extremely docile, placing them in no danger at all!

All the beasts were extremely shocked upon seeing this.

Was this a coincidence… or had they discovered something?

Most of the beasts felt like it was the latter. After all, if this were just a coincidence, only a stupid c*nt would be walking around aimlessly in a place like this!

The groundhog wielding twin sabers bared its buck teeth as all the golden fur on its body stood on end.

An Lin and his group were currently approaching it!
