After his Super Spiritual Spiral had merged again and again with his other Spiritual Spirals, it became more powerful.

During the merging process, the Dark Force within his Super Spiritual Spiral was extremely volatile and completely beyond Su Mo’s control. His body was also impacted by their shock waves.

Su Mo’s body shook violently as the strong vibrations from his Spiritual Spirals assaulted his body. This caused his body to be under immense pressure.

Buzz!

Su Mo’s body gleamed golden as he defended himself against the violent vibrations originating from his powerful Dark Force.

He did not stop and continued the merging process despite the fact that his body was shaking uncontrollably and his entire body was drenched in sweat.

He did not know how much time had passed before his body finally stopped trembling and returned to stillness.

Phew!

Su Mo opened his eyes and breathed out a mouthful of murky Qi.

His face was extremely pale and his entire body was drenched in sweat. He felt as though he was about to collapse.

“I need to repeat this process another two times and the final two times will be the most challenging part!” Su Mo murmured to himself with a small sigh. Fortunately, he had only cultivated 49 Spiritual Spirals. If he had chosen to cultivate any more than that, he would have to destroy the rest for it would be impossible for him to merge so many Spiritual Spirals together.

Su Mo temporarily stopped the merging process for fear of complications arising if he continued the process in his current condition.

A while later, Su Mo closed his eyes and focused on recovering his strength.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

A muffled knock sounded from the yard.

Su Mo’s guestroom had its own private courtyard and there were no other buildings around.

Therefore, whoever knocking on the door could only be looking for him!

“It’s her!” Su Mo used his spiritual consciousness to sweep his surroundings and saw that the city governor’s daughter was at his door.

“What does she want?” Su Mo frowned. He did not have a very good impression of this lady and thought that she an arrogant and ill-mannered person.

Furthermore, they had exchanged blows earlier, so Su Mo could not understand why she could be looking for him.

Unfortunately, he could not ignore her since he was a guest in her mansion.

Su Mo rose to his feet and opened the door.

Bai Yin’er cut a lovely figure as she stood outside the door of the courtyard, her black ponytail complementing her youthful energy.

“Hello, let me introduce myself. I am Bai Yin’er. Nice to meet you!” Bai Yin’er said with a smile, her eyes shining brightly.

However, the smile on her face looked forced and awkward.

She had always been on the receiving end of other men trying to flirt with her, so this was her first time trying to flirt with a man.

She felt extremely awkward and uneasy.

“Alright, got it!” Su Mo nodded and said coldly, “Why have you come here?”

“I’m here to apologize for our earlier misunderstanding!” Bai Yin’er said in a small voice.

She had been waiting for Su Mo to emerge from his room and only knocked when she saw that he had not emerged after a few days.

Bai Yin’er’s heart raced as she stood nervously and uneasily where she was.

She was nervous because this was her first time apologizing to someone and she could not help but wonder if she was doing this correctly.

She was uneasy because she worried that Su Mo would not forgive her earlier actions and might even hate her for it.

“Don’t worry about it!” Su Mo nodded, his face unreadable.

He did not bear a grudge against her. After all, he was now a guest at her mansion.

“Uh…!” Bai Yin’er awkwardly searched for something else to say.

Su Mo’s attitude was too cold and trying to please others was not her strong suit either.

“Do you have anything else to say?” Su Mo asked when he saw that Bai Yin’er remained silently standing where she was.

“No…no, I don’t!” Bai Yin’er said nervously as she shook her head.

“Well then, please see yourself out!” Su Mo nodded and shut the door in her face. Then, he strode back to his room.

Bai Yin’er was dumbfounded and stood in stunned silence outside the door.

She had not expected him to treat her with such cool indifference!

Su Mo had not even invited her inside for a chat! He was not interested in her at all!

All sorts of expressions flashed across her pretty face and her face soon turned as red as a tomato.

“Damn him!” Bai Yin’er was incensed. Her chest heaved violently and she clenched her jaw so hard that it hurt.

How dare he treat her this way!

He had just left her hanging outside his door!

This was the first time she had been utterly disrespected and ignored, so she felt extremely hurt.

“You’re such a jerk! How dare you treat me so coldly after I approached you in such a friendly manner. Do you really think I’d have feelings for you after this?” Bai Yin’er fumed impotently.

She reached out to push open the door, wanting to barge in and scold Su Mo for his indifference, but then she stopped.

She realized that she had no basis to argue with Su Mo.

Was she supposed to ask him why he ignored her good-will?

Or should she ask why he ignored her when she was here to seduce him.

Bai Yin’er could not bring herself to say such things; it was just too embarrassing!

Furthermore, Su Mo was so powerful that even if she attacked him, she would not be his match at all!

“Jerk!” Bai Yin’er yelled and stamped her feet angrily. She then flounced off in irritation.

Su Mo had heard Bai Yin’er’s yell of frustration from his room and immediately frowned.

“What does this chick think she’s doing?” Su Mo was speechless.

He could not be bothered to entertain such an entitled lady and soon sank deep into thought as he continued to recover his vitality.

The possibility of merging the final two Spiritual Spirals with his current physical strength was much too slim.

If he was not careful, his body might not be able to bear the immense pressure resulting from the merge, or his Spiritual Spirals could explode. Any one of these could result in his death.

“I think I’d better increase my physical strength first!” Su Mo decided.

However, his physical strength was now comparable to a Lv 2 Martial King Realm martial artist, which was much higher than his cultivation. He was thus afraid that he would not be able to increase it any further for if the gap between his physical strength and his current cultivation was too wide, it would start absorbing the Dark Force from his Spiritual Spirals!

Su Mo was not sure if this phenomenon would still occur. After all, his cultivation had been extremely low when it had first occurred.

Now that he was of Peak Lv 9 True Darkness Realm cultivation, cultivated the Grand Chaos Five Elements Skills which was itself a combination of five Imperial-level martial arts techniques, this resulted in his Dark Force becoming extremely strong. He estimated that it was comparable to a middle-level Martial King Realm martial artist.

Not only that, his Spiritual Spirals had upgraded to a Super Spiritual Spiral, which meant that his Dark Force was both condensed and thick. He was many times stronger than he was in the past!

“I should be able to increase my physical strength by one more level!” Su Mo said after he took all these factors into consideration.

This would be the only way he could successfully complete the merge.

Su Mo was pretty confident that he could increase his physical strength by one more level. Even if his body started to absorb his Dark Force again, it would only be absorbing Dark Force from his remaining Spiritual Spirals. His Super Spiritual Spiral would not be affected at all.

After a while, Su Mo entered the Divine Map and sat cross-legged in his courtyard. He then took out the jade bottle containing the blood essence of the Dragonesque Elephant.

Seven drops of blood remained and Su Mo swallowed one drop.
