Chapter 1067: Xi Jin Knows About The Bewitching Elixir
Rui’er lowered her head while hiding her fear in her heart. She replied confidently, “No.”
She couldn’t tell the Crown Prince about the dumpling incident. Otherwise, Brother Qi would really be implicated by it. If her miss, Feng Tianlan, and she herself didn’t talk about this, the crown prince would never know about it.
Xi Jin stared at her coldly for a while. “Alright. Go back. Feel free to report to me if anything were to happen in the future.”
Rui’er replied with a ‘yes’ in a trembling voice. Then, she retreated, still shivering.
Xi Jin was supporting his head with his hand. He was thinking about what Rui’er said. Jiang Ying and he had both been fed bewitching elixirs. As a result, they had no choice but to believe in Shen Yunya, especially Jiang Ying. He couldn’t pull himself out of this situation all because of this elixir.
However, he had never liked Shen Yunya. He didn’t have the slightest feeling for her even with the elixir. Why was that?
Xi Jin pondered for a long while. Then, he remembered the Demon King’s blood which saved him when he tried to commit suicide by taking poison. Could the Demon King’s blood really have acted as an antidote?
Did that mean Jiang Ying would recover if he were to be detoxified?
Suddenly, he wondered what would happen to Jiang Ying if the effect of that bewitching elixir were to be removed from his body.
“Guards.” Xi Jin felt quite energized.
His personal bodyguard came in. “Your Highness.”
“Bring Jiang Ying into the palace secretly and take care of him well,” Xi Jin ordered, curled his lips, sneering.
Jiang Ying had been released by Feng Tianlan. Even though his heart was completely dead, it still wasn’t good enough. He had to live with the utmost regret. It would only be enough if he were to repent for the rest of his life.
…
Feng Tianlan was writing down some skill manuals. Now that the United Mercenary Regiment had stopped recruiting members and she had to enter Shang Institution in a few days, she had to do whatever she could for the Mercenary Regiment. That way, she would be able to practice in Shang Institution at ease.
“Miss, the Crown Prince’s personal bodyguard is requesting to see you,” Azurite came in and reported.
Feng Tianlan put down her pen. She turned to look at White Cutie-Pie who was sleeping beside her feet. “Let him in.”
In a short while, the bodyguard arrived. He made a bow, then spoke, “His Highness sent me over to ask for something from the Demon King. Secondary Consort Luo was accidentally poisoned. She couldn’t take any medicine, because it would affect her fetus. He wants to ask the Demon King for a small cup of his blood, for Second Consort Luo and her fetus.”
Feng Tianlan thought that he must be speaking the truth when she saw him being so straightforward and anxious. She asked the bodyguard, “Is a small cup enough? Is Secondary Consort Luo alright?”
“His Highness said that it will be enough. He is afraid that the fetus might be affected, therefore he only asked for a cup of blood.”
Feng Tianlan replied with an ‘uh-huh’. Since it was an urgent matter, she took the teacup on the table, then cut an opening on her hand and filled up the cup with her own blood without hesitation. She then used her Ice Spiritual Force to create a layer of ice over it in case the blood was to spill out on the way.
The guard went forward and took over the teacup carefully. He bowed to Feng Tianlan and left.
Feng Tianlan let Azurite apply medicine to the wound on her palm. Then, she continued writing the skill manuals. After a short while, Si Mobai returned.
When Si Mobai saw her at work with such a serious face, he couldn’t bear to disturb her. He just stared at her by the entrance for a while, then turned around and walked to the kitchen. It would be even harder for them to meet after Lan’er went to the Shang Institution.
“Xi Jin asked for your blood today. He wanted it to save Luo Shiyun, who was poisoned. I gave some to him without hesitation,” Feng Tianlan told Si Mobai as she ate.
Si Mobai raised his head and glanced at her. He frowned and said in a deep voice, “You gave it to him just like that?”
Feng Tianlan stretched out her hand and held it out before him. “Here, look, the wound is very small. It has healed up completely now.”
Her wound was small. The amount of blood required wasn’t that much as well. It had healed up quickly within just an hour.
