Chapter 1025: Chapter 1025: Emerald Demon Warship Deployed!
Lan Xuanyu spent the entire afternoon there, writing and drawing, seemingly calculating something. Not until dusk had fallen.
“You guys rest here, don’t go anywhere. Without the Treasure Hunting Beast’s camouflage, we’re very vulnerable to exposure. Be very careful. I’ll be right back,” Lan Xuanyu put away a pile of papers he had been scribbling on and spoke to his companions.
“What are you going to do? Do we need to come with you?” Bai Xiuxiu asked.
Lan Xuanyu shook his head and said, “No need. I’m faster on my own.” Having said that, he did not wait for his friends to ask further questions and quietly pushed open the window. Under the cover of the Treasure Hunting Beast, he leaped out.
Once outside, the fresh air hit his face. Lan Xuanyu had the Treasure Hunting Beast sense their surroundings through divine consciousness. After confirming there was no issue, he quickly rose into the air, drifting upward. In the next instant, a cyan light burst forth from his chest. Lan Xuanyu rapidly merged with the cyan light, and with a flash that seemed to cut through illusion, he vanished without a trace, leaving behind no scent – his speed was like teleporting.
When Lan Xuanyu transformed into a streak of emerald light and flew into the sky, it was a sensation of freedom as if the whole world was his to roam. The surrounding air flowed by his side, naturally becoming part of his environment, with everything toggling between illusion and reality.
Fast, just one word, fast!
Quickness taken to the extreme.
This was the Emerald Demon Warship, built upon the legacy of the Emerald Demon Bird, the pinnacle of human biological technology. It was also the ultimate embodiment of warship technology.
The Emerald Demon Warship was Lan Xuanyu’s true trump card, the real deal. Its high speed and formidable power were the basis for his confidence in coming here.
As the epitome of human biological technology, with the Emerald Demon Warship, Lan Xuanyu even had the confidence to escape the pursuit of ordinary God level strong, provided he was on his own.
Everything about the Emerald Demon Warship, even his closest companions, were not entirely clear on – it was a secret of the Tang Sect, Shrek Academy, and the Senluo Star Soul Beasts. The greatest secret.
The Douluo Federation had always been aware that the Tang Sect had its own warships, and for the most part, where most of those warships were and what level they could achieve, the federation was aware of. The only restriction the federation had on the Tang Sect was that they were not allowed to manufacture warships above the battleship level. Battleships were the highest class the federation permitted.
But what the federation never knew was that the Tang Sect’s warships were not stationed on the Mother Planet, nor on any human planet, but were on Senluo Star, in the world of the soul beasts.
Even Lan Xuanyu himself wasn’t sure how many Ecological Warships there were; he only knew of two – one was the Emerald Demon Warship, the other was the Silver Armored Roc Warship.
The first time he saw the Silver Armored Roc Warship, it had not yet fully taken shape, but he could already feel its power.
When he came to Sky Dragon Planet this time and learned that the planet’s strongest combat force was not warships, but Dragon Knights, what Lan Xuanyu thought about first was the Ecological Warships.
Could Sky Dragon Planet’s Dragon Knights and the Ecological Warships share some similar secret? Dragon Knights were truly biological in nature and not warships, so in terms of integration, they definitely fell short compared to Ecological Warships. They also didn’t have the additional enhancements that came with an Ecological Warship. But Dragon Knights had unique advantages that Ecological Warships did not – as living beings, they could be more flexible in combat, with Dragon Clan and knights coordinating seamlessly, coupled with the notably special Dragonlance, all contributing to their overall combat strength.
Information about the Dragon Knights had become something Lan Xuanyu must understand in the foreseeable future. As an inheritor of the Dragon God’s bloodline, the data on Sky Dragon Planet’s Dragon Knights could potentially aid in his future advancement.
Lan Xuanyu was indeed too fast, so much so that even when he encountered dragons in flight, they merely sensed a streak of emerald light whisking by them, vanishing in the blink of an eye.
Sky Dragon Planet truly was vast. Even for the Emerald Demon Warship, which was capable of speeds rivalling that of light, it still took time to reach the destination of this journey.
Even so, Lan Xuanyu had restricted the speed of the Emerald Demon Warship. Above-light-speed travel near the surface of a planet could create intense spatial rifts and would undoubtedly draw the attention of the Sky Dragon Planet. Hence, Lan Xuanyu had the Emerald Demon Warship maintain a speed above supersonic but below that of light.
Gliding past areas ablaze with lights and weaving above forests that had turned pitch black, Lan Xuanyu occasionally stopped to confirm his direction, ensuring there was no issue with his flight trajectory. Then he would accelerate once more, traveling at high speed.
In no time at all, thanks to the high-speed flight of the Emerald Demon Warship, he had reached his destination.
A soft green glow quietly faded, as Lan Xuanyu silently landed in a narrow alley.
The alley, void of illumination and less than two meters wide, was flanked by towering buildings. Calling it an alley was almost a misnomer; it served merely to separate the structures.
By the time Lan Xuanyu emerged from the alley, he had once again assumed the appearance of a member of the Blue Sea Tribe, an inconspicuous one at that, even altering his features from earlier.
The streets were bustling with a throng of people from various races. The widest central thoroughfare was reserved for the exclusive use of the Dragon Clan. The liveliness here even surpassed that of Fenglong City.
This was hardly surprising, for this place was the capital of Sky Dragon Planet and one of the most prosperous and bustling locations within the entire Dragon Horse Star System; Sky Dragon City!
With the brief and swift flight of the Emerald Demon Warship, Lan Xuanyu had arrived at Sky Dragon City. The most important purpose of his and his companions’ trip to the Sky Dragon Planet was about to unfold here.
The distance from Fenglong City to Sky Dragon City was considerable. Sky Dragon City was situated almost diametrically opposite Fenglong City on the Sky Dragon Planet. In a short span of time, Lan Xuanyu, aboard the Emerald Demon Warship, had traversed nearly half the globe to arrive here.
Inside Sky Dragon City, the life energy was particularly rich, giving Lan Xuanyu the impression that even the air seemed viscous. He could almost be certain that the existence connected to the life core of this planet must be within this city.
And this intense life energy was an irresistible allure for Lan Xuanyu, compelling him to take deep breaths. Cultivating in such a place would undoubtedly be highly beneficial for him.
However, he did not belong to this planet, and with his current level of cultivation, it would not be an issue for him to cultivate here, as his power was far from attracting the attention of that life core. But once his cultivation reached a certain threshold, absorbing life energy here would definitely draw notice.
What a wonderful place!
Taking another deep breath, Lan Xuanyu walked slowly along the street, observing his surroundings as he went.
The biggest difference between Sky Dragon City and Fenglong City was their refinement. The architecture here was much more sophisticated, less rugged, and more luxurious.
The refinement was also evident in the various races present— their attire and accessories were of exquisite quality. And powerful, too. Just walking down the street, Lan Xuanyu felt several strong auras. These were energies from beings with cultivation greater than his own, at least in terms of sheer power.
Who could tell how many Dragon Knights existed within this Sky Dragon City? Even with many taken away by Sky Dragon, there must still be those left to guard the city.
Suddenly, Lan Xuanyu’s pupils contracted as he was struck by an odd sensation. Instinctively, he looked up into the sky.
