Chapter 760: Noble Elf

Chapter 760: Noble Elf

As Ludmila panics about potentially making a dangerous enemy for her Prince, Svetlana hopes that the rivalry between Lucien and Yakov will grow to the point where he supports her Queen.

But like Nea, the other girls are enjoying seeing Lucien jealous. Well, Sophia, who understands him so well, can see that he is exaggerating a bit to ease the tension of his sisters with that scene.

When Lucien notices faint smiles on the faces of Naomi and Donna, he realizes it’s better to go easy on Ludmila, or the poor elf may indeed go crazy.

"Please, Lucien, don’t make hasty decisions about my Prince," Ludmila pleads. "He didn’t expect Nea to actually accept a man as her husband, so I bet he can get rid of the paintings if you ask him."

"Let’s see," Lucien grows more curious to meet Yakov, and of course, to make it clear that Nea is his alone, and such things as filling his castle with her paintings will not be tolerated.

However, as he sets aside such concerns, he notices that Ludmila seems very concerned about the well-being of Yakov, in addition to knowing a lot about him.

All of Lucien’s troops are also extremely loyal to him, but he can see a special sparkle in the elf’s eyes when she talks about her leader.

"Thank you, Lucien," she thanks him. "I’m sure that you and my Prince can be great allies."

"You care a lot for your prince, don’t you?" He asks in a curious and suggestive tone. "I bet you must love him a lot."

"No," Ludmila understands the kind of love Lucien is talking about and quickly denies it.

But immediately after she continues. "But well, I really do love him... but not in that way... it’s just that... after all, we are family."

"Don’t tell me you are his daughter?" Nea asks while looking at the light gray streaks in Ludmila’s hair.

"Ah, no," she quickly responds. "Our family is quite large, in fact, my grandfather was a cousin of Prince Yakov."𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"Oh," Lucien is surprised by that revelation as he still doesn’t fully grasp how elves with white or light gray hair are generally members of the royal family.

"So that makes you some kind of granddaughter to him?" He asks.

Ludmila shakes her head uncertainly. "I guess a third-degree granddaughter? Or something like that. We are family, so such titles don’t really matter."

"I see," Lucien can’t help but admire Ludmila even more because she hasn’t tried to use her connection with Yakov to negotiate with him.

"She seems like a truly honorable woman," Lucien comments mentally to Lust.

"Or smart enough to know exactly how to earn your trust," Lust quickly responds.

Lust doesn’t dismiss that possibility, but as his curiosity about Ludmila grows, he also feels Donna’s impatience increasing, and the same must be happening with Naomi.

Before the girls can complain, he puts a temporary end to the conversation with Ludmila. "Let’s talk more about meeting your Prince later, now I need some answers from Cecilia."

The astute elf nods, but Amelia’s mother doesn’t seem very willing to cooperate just yet.

"Hey, I won’t tell you anything before having a decent meal," she complains. "I traveled as fast as possible to check on Ludmila’s situation, and now I’m starving."

Lucien had anticipated such a response, which is why he had mentally asked Kara to set aside some food for Cecilia when she first complained of being famished.

As his control over the Purple World improves, he is able to open a new portal without closing the one his other wives are using to bring food to the elves.

His girls are not surprised to see Lucien open another portal inside the hall, from which Kara emerges with a large tray of food, but Ludmila, Cecilia, and Svetlana are once again impressed.

The adorable Kara, dressed in a beautiful maid’s outfit, bows slightly in greeting to the trio before smiling at Lucien and placing the tray on the table with delicious food and a large bottle of wine.

Next, she takes out plates, cutlery, and some glasses from her storage ring, also setting them on the table.

Lucien affectionately strokes her hair. "Thank you, my dear."

As Kara smiles and enjoys the reward, Cecilia starts salivating just from the aroma of the wonderful food.

She quickly fills a plate with shiny rice, colorful vegetables, and some seafood.

While Svetlana merely observes from the corner of the room, Ludmila looks at Lucien with a sorry expression.

"I should be serving my guests well," she sighs. "But it’s you who are doing all the work here."

Lucien fills a wine glass for the elf, who takes it eagerly. "Don’t worry, you will have plenty of opportunities to reciprocate."

Ludmila nods with a friendly expression and then sips the wine, almost moaning from how good it is.

Before Svetlana can erupt in jealousy, Lucien tosses a large red apple to her along with a friendly smile, exciting the young elf.

Kara is very pleased that everyone enjoys her cooking, but she doesn’t linger for long and quickly returns through the portal to continue preparing food for the still-hungry elves of Zimograd.

Watching the Maid step into the purple portal that then disappears, Cecilia looks at the remains of food on her plate and can’t help but be curious.

"Where does this food come from?" She asks the same question that Ludmila and Svetlana have.

"It’s all made at my home, don’t worry," Lucien responds proudly.

"Your home?" Cecilia is very confused. "And where is that?"

"In my soul realm," he says.

This answer leaves Cecilia even more puzzled, and Ludmila can’t help but laugh.

"You don’t know what a soul realm is?" The elf asks, and seeing Cecilia’s lack of reaction, she remembers something. "Ah, sometimes you act like such a mature woman that I forget you’re just a human and don’t have more than a hundred years."

Cecilia shoots a displeased look at Ludmila, but with her face full of crumbs, it just looks comical.

Lucien finds her increasingly similar to Amelia, which makes both seem very cute together.

"What the heck is a soul realm?" Cecilia asks, impatiently.

Ludmila quickly explains. "It’s like soul weapons, manifestations of someone’s soul power. But instead of an object, soul realms are entire spaces within the soul of a very powerful individual."

"Space? Inside the soul... of..." Many strange thoughts emerge in Cecilia’s mind as she looks at the delicious food and then back at Lucien.

"His?!?" She panics at the idea of eating something that came from inside Lucien’s soul.

Lucien just laughs, but Ludmila can’t help shaking her head before taking a sip of that delicious wine.

"Ah, Cecilia... you’re embarrassing yourself, my friend," the elf sighs.
