Chapter 753: The Peace Devil
The Dark Elves were already quite confused by Lucien’s appearance, but the arrival of several beautiful and powerful women at his side creates an even more intimidating aura.
Yet, something is even more daunting: the tension between Cecilia and Eve.
Lucien behaves dominantly, but he appears calm while the two beautiful ladies seem ready to start a fight of devastating proportions.
And while part of them wants to witness such a show, they all instinctively feel that staying too close could only result in their demise.
Both armies become even more defensive and try to retreat slowly to avoid drawing attention from the unusual group.
But Lucien doesn’t hide a satisfied smile on his face as he watches Eve press Cecilia with her powerful aura.
However, even at a disadvantage, the proud mother of Amelia continues to embrace her daughter and faces Eve head-on.
"Oh? It seems you’ve become quite strong..." Cecilia’s tone is neutral but tinged with curiosity.
Eve maintains a dominant expression and a hostile gaze. "I had to become strong to protect your daughter while you... what the hell exactly were you and Michael doing?"
Eve’s words are sharp as a blade, cutting through the air, but the only sound beyond Cecilia’s silence is Lucien’s ironic laughter.
Amelia is unsure how to react because, while she always wants to support Lucien and their sisters, she can’t deny that she has missed her mother greatly.
Cecilia strokes Amelia’s hair and kisses her forehead before turning her attention back to Eve and Lucien. "I know what I did might seem wrong-"
She tries to explain, but Lucien quickly interrupts her. "We don’t want apologies, we want answers."
"I understand." Cecilia smiles amiably at Lucien before trying to look more serious. "I will answer all your questions, but first..."
She looks around, and Lucien’s gaze follows hers to the thousands of confused Dark Elves.
"Yeah, we need to sort out this mess," Lucien comments.
Cecilia nods and looks towards Artem, Svetlana, and Ludmila. "This battle makes no sense, you are the same people."
"No way!" Artem reasserts his stubborn and hostile stance. "Don’t compare us, the loyal servants of our people, to those damned traitors!"
Lucien sighs before looking at Cecilia. "You asked for one last chance, so you’d better make him shut up, or Oya will."
"*ROARR!!*" The tiger roars fiercely, sending a new wave of fear through the bodies of the elves, especially Artem.
"Don’t be foolish, Artem," Cecilia speaks to the elf. "You are at a great disadvantage here. This tiger alone could devour a third of your soldiers, and the rest would flee in fear before you make any difference."
"I-" Artem almost responds immediately, but the rational part of his brain quickly forces his mouth to shut.
Lucien and Cecilia share a subtle smile in response to Artem’s reaction.
Then she looks at Ludmila. "Can we come to an agreement, my friend?"
Ludmila looks at Lucien, then at the various women around him, especially Nea, and then turns her attention back to Cecilia. "What the heck is going on here???"
Lucien is taken aback by the harsh words coming from the charming Dark Elf’s beautiful mouth. She had seemed so calm and collected just a moment ago, but now she’s revealing her true emotions.
"I," Cecilia pauses before casting a quick glance at Lucien and then returning her attention to Ludmila. "We will explain everything."
"I’m listening." Ludmila doesn’t let her guard down and now seems to distrust even Cecilia.
Cecilia sighs, understanding how caution is vital in such a situation. After all, this is a deadly war that determines the fate of all the Dark Elves on the battlefield and in the city.
"Not here," Cecilia suggests in a friendly tone. "Perhaps we can talk in your castle, around a fire and a table full of food?"
Lucien is eager to get some answers from Cecilia, but he also doesn’t find it comfortable to have such a conversation in front of thousands of people.
Ludmila understands this, but she can’t help but look at Artem and Svetlana. "These two fools will invade my city and kill my people as soon as I turn my back."
"We are not animals!" Svetlana quickly responds, while Artem continues to stare at Oya in fear.𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"That’s exactly what you are." Ludmila comments in her usual cold tone, not hiding her contempt for Svetlana and Artem.
Before the two elves start exchanging insults, Cecilia thinks of mediating peace, but Lucien takes the initiative first.
"You should come with us," he says to Svetlana in a dominant but friendly tone. "I really need to explain to you why your war is such a stupid decision right now."
The young elf can’t hide the excitement in her bright eyes as Lucien acts amiably towards her.
But before she can agree, Artem musters the strength to speak. "You can’t go into that witch’s den alone, they’ll kill you or worse."
Svetlana ignores Artem while staring at Lucien, her mind wandering through strange thoughts about the worst he could do to her that wouldn’t be pleasant. Of course, everything she can think of seems quite appealing.
Cecilia rolls her eyes at Svetlana’s expression and quickly comes up with an idea. "Why don’t you and Artem enter the city with a part of your army? That way, you’ll feel more protected."
"And a portion of the city’s soldiers can stay outside while we sort this out." Lucien adds another suggestion.
Artem doesn’t need to think long to want to reject any suggestion from Lucien, but Svetlana quickly accepts. "Great! It will work for sure."
The bold elf shakes his head, too weak to continue arguing. "You can go with them, Svetlana, I need to recover."
"Alright," Svetlana quickly agrees.
But Ludmila exchanges wary glances with Cecilia, and both seem to reach an unspoken agreement before turning their attention back to Lucien and his girls.
"Shall we?" She asks in a cordial tone.
Lucien nods just as cordially and also smiles seductively at the charming grey-haired elf, arousing conflicting feelings within her.
While most women around Lucien feel aroused and expectant, Ludmila understands how getting involved with him could be dangerous.
She quickly gives orders to her soldiers before starting to lead the group towards the city’s gate.
The elves from both armies are still trying to understand what’s happening, but since opposing Lucien and his girls seems fatal, no one wants to cause trouble.
The group begins to walk towards the city, and Svetlana tries to approach Lucien, but his younger wives quickly step in the way, making it clear they don’t want to share his attention any further.
Lucien would usually use such an opportunity to tease his girls, but he senses Sophia appearing and holding his hand tightly.
He understands why she’s tense, just like Donna and his other sisters, so he approaches Cecilia, who is walking side by side with Amelia.
"Is Serena okay?" Lucien asks while continuing to walk.
Cecilia nods and then sees the expressions of Donna and the other girls. "They are fine, I mean, we split up and some are still with Michael, but we’re all okay."
This answer provides some relief to the girls, but the fact that they have split up and some are still with Michael makes them wonder about the situation of their mothers.
Lucien remembers that Svetlana said Serena was in the Dark Elves’ capital, so he can only conclude that she is still with Michael.
"But why did Cecilia separate from them?" He comments mentally to Lust. "And who else is with her?"
"It seems they split to support different sides in the Dark Elves’ war," Lust suggests. "And you should ask Nea about Yakov, but I doubt he is what that stupid elf called a ’true Queen’."
Lucien agrees with Lust and quickly turns his attention back to Nea. She left her kingdom at a crucial moment to help him create a solid alliance with the Dark Elves, so he needs to give her space to do it.
As Lucien looks at Nea, she immediately starts communicating with him mentally. "The blue crest in the city and on the elves defending it are linked to the old elven royalty, certainly connected to Yakov."
"And the green elves?" Lucien asks.
Nea glances at the crest of the green army again. "I don’t recognize it, so it must be new, at least in the last thousand years."
While conversing mentally with Nea, Lucien notices that the group has reached the gate, and one of the city’s guards reacts more extremely to one of the green soldiers following Svetlana.
"You damn traitor!" the green soldier insults the blue guard.
The blue soldier quickly points his spear at the other. "I’ll kill you, you bastard!"
The tension rises among the soldiers from both sides again, but most are too fearful of Lucien and his girls to take sides in the fight between those two, who end up on the ground alone.
It’s clear that the rivalry between these two soldiers is old and surpasses even common sense, and although Lucien doesn’t want to start killing the Dark Elves, he doesn’t want to appear weak either.
Instead of acting personally, Lucien calls on his loyal companion. "Oya."
"*ROOOOAAARRRR!*" The fierce tiger roars loudly, causing the two elves to immediately stop fighting.
But Lucien doesn’t stop there and continues instructing Oya. "You have my permission to kill anyone who starts a fight again, and do it slowly."
"*ROOOOOOOAAARRRR!!!!*" She roars even louder in response.
Then Lucien pats her large, fluffy ears affectionately. "Good girl."
Oya purrs under Lucien’s caresses, leaving the elves shocked at how deadly and adorable she can seem simultaneously.
