Chapter 729: Tasting The Forbidden Apple (1/2)

Lucien follows the breadcrumb trail that leads into the cellar; the place is quite large and is illuminated by a few magical lamps.

Yet, there are so many shelves filled with wine bottles and no windows in the area, leaving the space dark.

But of course, the low light isn’t a problem for him due to his super sharp senses.

He can clearly smell Naomi’s perfume even though there are dozens of other food smells around her.𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

With slow steps, he follows the food crumbs and his sister’s scent, crossing several aisle corridors.

Soon, he spots Naomi; she’s in the corner of the room, surrounded by various food trays on the floor, all kinds of different food.

She’s devouring some fruits while a small figure sits on top of a wine shelf, Gluttony, of course.

The little Demon is smiling while watching her host eat non-stop, but Naomi seems apprehensive rather than pleased.

"You look famished," Lucien comments as he approaches his sister.

"Huh?! Brother?!?" Naomi was so focused on devouring all that food that she didn’t even notice Lucien approaching, causing her to almost jump in surprise.

Gluttony, on the other hand, had already noticed Lucien’s presence when he entered the kitchen, but she didn’t say anything to Naomi.

She looks at him now too, but her expression is only curious and thoughtful.

"Oh," Lucien can’t help but smile at Naomi’s embarrassed expression. "You look like someone who got caught doing something wrong, my dear sister."

"No..." She exclaims quickly. "Don’t judge me, please..."

"It’s alright," he speaks in a gentle tone as he approaches Naomi. "I was just kidding, you know."

She still appears apprehensive and embarrassed. "What... what are you doing here?"

Lucien takes a wine bottle from the shelf under Gluttony and shows it to Naomi. "Drinking, of course."

She furrows her brow. "You can’t lie, Lucien."

"Really?" he asks in a fake disappointed tone.

She tries to give him a disgruntled look, but they both start laughing. "You fool..."

Lucien pushes some food trays away from Naomi and sits on the floor beside her.

He opens the wine bottle and takes a sip before passing the bottle to her. "I came to keep you company."

She can’t help but smile upon hearing that. She also takes the bottle, but since they don’t have glasses there, she’ll have to drink from the bottle’s mouth like Lucien did, which makes her a bit flushed and hesitant.

He can’t resist teasing her. "You weren’t this shy before."

"It’s not that..." She gazes at the bottle as old memories make her feel nostalgic.

Gluttony watches the interaction between the siblings attentively, but Lucien simply ignores the little Sin; you can’t even tell they have any connection since all their interactions have been with the other Sins around.

Naomi doesn’t hesitate for long before taking a big gulp of wine straight from the bottle.

Just as she expected, Lucien’s taste is strong on the bottle, triggering many feelings in her body.

"Damn! This is so good!!" She mentally comments to Gluttony.

"I know, right?" The little Sin swings her legs in the air as she speaks mentally only to Naomi and shares the flavor of the wine with her through their abilities.

Lucien is aware of the growing feelings inside Naomi, he can sense the lust in women more and more, and understand how to please them.

His seduction and charm techniques are at their peak, and he could easily lead a woman to anything; but of course, he has no intention of using any seduction methods on his beloved sister.

Naomi manages to calm herself and hands the bottle back to Lucien. "Mermaids’ wine is really good, isn’t it?"

Lucien takes the bottle and immediately takes another sip, now tasting the various flavors of fruits and other foods, but mostly, the taste of Naomi’s lips.

"Very good indeed." He smiles gently at her.

But even without intending to tease her further, that smile makes Naomi even more excited.

Seeing that Lucien cares about her and instead of trying to act like his Sin, he’s just being kind and friendly, makes her even more comfortable.

Before the atmosphere becomes more intense, Naomi quickly grabs a large, shiny green apple. "Here, this one’s amazing."

Even without magical senses as sharp as Naomi’s and Gluttony’s, Lucien can feel a powerful magical energy coming from that apple, a very familiar energy, in fact.

He takes the fruit and looks at it with a curious expression. "Where did you find such a treasure?"

"I got it from Nea’s secret garden," Naomi talks about her little theft with a naughty smile on her face, making Lucien laugh.

That apple is grown in a garden around the sacred tree of the Mermaids, one of Nea’s few secrets.

Lucien isn’t upset with Naomi for taking one of those apples, but there probably aren’t many of them, so Nea might be sad if the naughty girl and Gluttony take them all.

"You only took one, right?" He asks.

"Ehh..." She makes a guilty and embarrassed expression while trying to hide a few green crumbs behind her hand.

Lucien sighs. "Nea hardly ever does things just for herself... I guess those apples might be her only treasure. How many did you take, anyway?"

Naomi feels even more remorseful hearing that, but she still tells the truth. "Maybe... all of them?"

"Of course..." Lucien sighs again, but instead of getting upset with Naomi, he laughs.

Naomi is confused. "Aren’t you really mad?"

He looks into her eyes with a gentle and kind expression. "How could I be mad when you’re so adorable?"

"Ah!?" She’s taken aback by the compliment and breaks into a proud, beautiful smile, but immediately blushes and looks away.

Lucien finds Naomi increasingly cute; in fact, she has always been very lovely and charming with those rosy locks and flushed cheeks.

Despite having a naturally petite body, she has never seemed like a child in Lucien’s eyes; in fact, as one of his older sisters after Eve and Donna, Naomi has always appeared dangerously sensual.

Now it’s her turn to notice him getting nostalgic, which piques her curiosity. "What are you thinking about?"

"About how Nea will miss her apples," he jokes as he takes a bite of the green apple.

Naomi laughs, but then she looks a bit regretful again. "Will she be mad at you?"

"No chance." He quickly responds and smiles confidently. "I’ll make it up to her, you know."

"Hmm..." Naomi understands what kind of compensation he’s talking about, which makes her seem a bit annoyed.

Lucien doesn’t think that reaction is due to jealousy, so he asks her. "What’s wrong?"

Naomi seems hesitant to speak or she’s just carefully choosing her words. "I know how hard it is to control my hunger, and it can be quite annoying sometimes..."

Gluttony’s eyes gleam as Naomi speaks. "Well, I was just wondering if you have difficulties in... you know... stopping... from..."

"Thinking about sex?" Lucien asks in a playful tone.

"Ya, that." She nods.

He responds in a calm tone. "Lust’s powers aren’t just related to sex but to all sorts of pleasure; yet, me and my wives do enjoy sex a lot, so well... I guess it’s more a part of our lives than usual."

"It’s one way to put it." Naomi comments.

He laughs and passes the bitten apple to her. "Yeah... but what about you? Do you enjoy eating delicious things?"

She takes the apple and takes a bite from the other side while nodding. "Yes, a lot! But..."

"But?" He asks, curious.

She glances at Gluttony for a second before explaining. "Sometimes just eating everything I see isn’t enough to satisfy me..."

"Oh," Lucien can’t help but imagine various ways to please Naomi.

She’s clearly thinking of something similar due to the naughty way she bites her lips and avoids eye contact with him.

If Naomi just wanted a normal brother who would listen to her and help her with ordinary things, he could try to be that kind of brother.

But her body is clearly begging for the kind of help only he can provide, so he, being a good brother, can’t deny it to her.

Naomi hands the apple back to him, much smaller now, naturally.

He takes the apple and takes a big bite, finishing half of it before offering the remaining piece to her.

Naomi reaches out to take the piece of apple, but Lucien brings it straight to her mouth.

She acts on instinct and quickly bites into the apple slice, but she’s surprised by him once again.

Lucien acts swiftly and seals her lips with a passionate kiss, mixing the tastes of their saliva with the freshness of the delicious green apple.

"Mm!?!" Naomi is genuinely shocked by that bold action, but his kiss is so good that she enjoys it to the fullest.

And from the wine shelf above, Gluttony watches the siblings with a smile on her face.

She can’t help but lick her own lips as she shares those flavors with Naomi again through their ability.

"Delicious!" She thinks aloud.
