Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 3727: Elyon Show’s Off

Chapter 3727: Elyon Show’s Off

Elyon’s claws curved elegantly, looking sharp enough to rip through immortal steel effortlessly.

Most striking however were the violet crystals embedded atop the palms and wrists.

The gems glowed faintly with darkness elemental energy.

"The dwarves helped?" Lin Mu asked immediately.

Elyon nodded.

"They reforged them completely," he said. "The Fireforge and Rune Dwarves both worked on them together."

He flexed his fingers slowly.

The claws moved seamlessly alongside his hands as though alive.

"They said the weapon now has a guaranteed chance of reaching Peak Immortal Grade in the future," Elyon added.

Lin Mu immediately understood the significance.

Immortal weapons capable of naturally growing further were incredibly valuable. Most immortal armaments remained permanently fixed at whatever level they were forged at.

For a weapon to possess future growth potential meant the dwarves had fundamentally altered its structure.

Lin Mu carefully observed the claws with his immortal sense.

The internal formation arrays were intricate and highly advanced. Darkness elemental channels flowed through the weapon perfectly while the metal itself possessed extraordinary compatibility with Elyon’s Qi.

"You should name them," Lin Mu said thoughtfully.

Elyon looked slightly surprised.

"...I hadn’t considered that."

Cattaleya immediately grinned.

"Call them Depression," she suggested instantly. "Since that’s the emotion you constantly spread around."

Elyon stared at her flatly.

Daoist Chu nearly spat out his drink laughing.

Meng Bai also tried very hard not to laugh and failed completely.

Even Lin Mu chuckled slightly.

Elyon ignored all of them with practiced patience before continuing.

He then revealed the second thing the dwarves had made for him.

The armored robes.

The moment he stood fully, everyone could properly see them.

The robes were stunning in a restrained sort of way.

Black layered fabric formed the primary structure, though faint violet undertones shimmered beneath the surface whenever darkness Qi flowed through them. Dark metallic pauldrons rested over his shoulders while protective armored plates were subtly integrated throughout the outfit.

The design managed to appear elegant, dangerous, and practical simultaneously.

Several belts and chains hung from his waist and shoulders, each holding small tools, charms, or immortal artifacts crafted by the dwarves.

Some were defensive arrays.

Others enhanced stealth.

Several specifically amplified darkness elemental techniques.

The entire outfit suited Elyon perfectly.

It was not flashy like noble immortal attire.

Instead it carried the appearance of a deadly hunter who moved through shadows unseen.

Cattaleya immediately whistled.

"You actually look intimidating now," she admitted.

"I looked intimidating before," Elyon replied calmly.

"No," she said honestly. "Before you looked like a depressed assassin who hadn’t slept in a month."

Daoist Chu burst out laughing again.

Even Meng Bai nearly fell off his chair.

Elyon slowly closed his eyes.

Lin Mu patted the wolfkin’s shoulder sympathetically.

"It does suit you very well," he said sincerely.

Elyon nodded slightly.

For perhaps the first time since arriving in Mantleheim, the wolfkin genuinely looked satisfied with himself.

And Lin Mu could tell why.

For the past several years, Elyon had often compared himself silently against the others. Compared to Lin Mu’s monstrous growth, Cattaleya’s overwhelming combat talent, or even Meng Bai’s rapid progression, he had frequently felt stagnant.

Yet now things were changing.

The wolfkin’s comprehension of Darkness Dao had deepened greatly during these months. Combined with his newly reforged weapons and equipment, his combat ability had risen substantially.

Lin Mu could already tell.

If Elyon fought now, he would be far deadlier than before.

Elyon flexed his newly reforged claws one more time before retracting them slowly back into the armored gauntlets. The dark metallic claws folded inward seamlessly while the violet crystals dimmed faintly.

Lin Mu could tell the wolfkin truly liked the weapon.

There was a subtle confidence in Elyon’s posture now that had not existed before.

"I’ll take my time deciding on a name," Elyon finally said after some thought. "A weapon name should not be chosen carelessly."

Cattaleya immediately leaned back in her chair while grinning mischievously.

"You should still call them Depression," she said. "It suits your personality perfectly."

Elyon ignored her completely.

The sheer practiced ease with which he dismissed her words made it obvious this had not been the first time he had endured such treatment over the past months.

Cattaleya clicked her tongue in disappointment.

"You’re getting harder to annoy."

"That is because you repeat the same jokes constantly," Elyon replied calmly.

Daoist Chu burst into laughter again while Meng Bai nearly choked on his drink.

Lin Mu simply smiled while shaking his head.

Compared to when they had first traveled together, the atmosphere between everyone felt much more relaxed now.

After Elyon finished, Meng Bai immediately raised his hand excitedly.

"My turn, master!" he said quickly.

The young man practically bounced from his seat before taking out a jade slip from his storage ring. The slip looked ordinary at first glance, yet Lin Mu immediately sensed dense formation fluctuations within it.

Meng Bai carefully placed it on the table.

Then he tapped it lightly.

A pulse of energy spread outward.

The next moment, glowing lines erupted across the hall floor. Countless runes unfolded rapidly while a massive formation array expanded in every direction until it covered nearly the entire chamber.

Several dwarves nearby immediately looked over curiously.

Lin Mu narrowed his eyes slightly while analyzing the array.

The formation was intricate.

Far more intricate than Meng Bai had been capable of constructing previously.

Countless interconnected layers spread throughout the array while streams of spirit Qi circulated through them in highly organized patterns.

"This array..." Lin Mu muttered thoughtfully.

His eyes moved rapidly across the various sections.

"An Armor Reinforcement Array combined with a Control Array," he identified first. "No... wait..."

Lin Mu focused on several hidden runic sequences near the center.

"There’s another structure integrated within it," he realized. "Was there a Reanimation Array mixed into this as well?"

Meng Bai’s eyes immediately brightened.

"Yes master!" he said excitedly.

The young man looked genuinely proud now.

He quickly began explaining everything.

Apparently during his studies within the dwarven libraries, he had stumbled upon a damaged ancient blueprint buried among old rune dwarf records. The blueprint described some kind of massive puppet construct used long ago for labor and warfare.
