Chapter 2720: The Kill

Firework whispered, “Take me away with your instantaneous movement. You aren’t a match for them alone.”

They needed to get to somewhere safe where she could neutralize the poison before they would stand a fighting chance.

Zu An didn’t respond to her. Instead, he eyed the monsters attacking the poisoned staff members. All of the Conglomerate’s staff members had lost their fighting ability, rendering them helpless to the monsters’ assault. It didn’t take long for a couple of them to be torn to shreds.

Zu An’s expression darkened. These staff members had treated him kindly on the journey. He couldn’t just turn a blind eye to their plight.

Golden sword ki suddenly appeared in mid air and impaled the closest monster. The remaining monsters screeched as they fled from the Conglomerate’s staff members to dodge the barrage of sword ki.

Firework was frustrated. “Are you stupid? You can’t save them even if you stay behind! Ugh, it’s too late to escape now!”

There was a good chance they could have escaped from the encirclement if Zu An had employed his instantaneous movement earlier. But now that the four had completed their encirclement, there was no way they could escape anymore!

It would thus be wiser to stay behind and fight back. If he rescued the Conglomerate’s staff members, he could resume his journey to Dreamland.

The Conglomerate’s staff members looked at Zu An with grateful eyes. Had they been in Zu An’s place, they didn’t think they would be able to make the same decision.

Employee 9527 sent a telepathic message over. “I appreciate your goodwill, but you aren’t a match for them. Find an opening to escape to the spaceship’s tail. You’ll find a few escape pods there. Should you escape safely, please report this matter to the Universal Conglomerate. We’ll be thankful to you.” He was strong enough to withstand the poison to relay the message.

Zu An was surprised. He hadn’t expected his kindness to secure him an escape route, though the odds of him being able to take said route were now extremely slim...

Fire Knight harrumphed coldly. “I didn’t expect you to have such useless compassion. You might have obtained a Wonderpoint World by chance, but it’ll just become a stepping stone for me.”

“What does a hideous thing like you know? Our big brother Zu is a great man, unlike despicable scums like you!” Firework argued back despite her earlier grumbling about Zu An’s decision.

Fire Knight’s flames quivered. “You little bitch! I shall show you what true agony is!”

Birdman anxiously interjected, “Boss, you agreed to give her to me.”

The octopus lady harrumphed. “Get lost! I want her as well. I shall stuff her full of my tentacles!” Her tentacles flailed nonstop out of excitement, as if she was imagining something in her mind.

Zu An felt the lady in his arms trembling. I didn’t expect her to get frightened by that.

Birdman roared in anger, “Second sister, the people you've toyed with become big enough to stuff a train in! How am I supposed to play with them after that?”

The octopus lady rolled her eyes. “It’s not my problem that you’re small.”

The birdman was speechless.

Fire Knight angrily smacked the wheelchair and said, “Shut up! Why are you fighting among yourselves when we haven’t dealt with the enemy yet? Capture them first. Second sister, you can have the guy. Third brother, you can have the woman.”

The octopus lady’s eyes lit up. She turned to Zu An and licked her lips with her crimson tongue. “This lad doesn't look too bad either. Deal!”

Zu An was stunned. The birdman was a pervert, but the octopus lady was even worse, preying on both men and women alike. Who knew how many people had been stuffed to death by her? And she’s eyeing me now.

Zu An’s expression turned severe. He was in a grim situation; the four of them were extremely strong. He had no intention of letting anyone pop his ass cherry.

The octopus lady was the first to make a move. She weaved dozens of her tentacles into a net and cast it over Zu An.

“Quick, dodge to the back left, then head toward the back right...” Despite being poisoned, Firework’s combat sense remained. She quickly gave out orders in hopes of creating an escape chance.

But Zu An remained still as the tentacles loomed over him.

Firework was flustered. Is this fellow scared stiff? Why isn’t he dodging? The thought of the miserable plight that would befall her made her face turn cold. If it comes to that, I’ll bring them down with me.

Since she used firecrackers as her weapon, it went without saying that she had some powerful explosives on her for defensive purposes. If those monsters dared to touch her body, she would immediately ignite them.

The only regret she had was that she would be blown apart. Having her body scattered around didn’t align with her sense of aesthetics.

The octopus lady revealed a perverted grin. They're now both in my grasp! To avoid any mishaps, she sprayed a pink venom at the duo.

Fire Knight was stunned. I've seen how my second sister toys with her prey, but I never thought a day would come when I’d be a victim of that. As he unleashed flames from his body, his anger flared.

The octopus lady screeched in agony as she hurriedly retracted her tentacles, but most of them still ended up charred. Sensing Fire Knight’s rage, she anxiously explained, “Boss, I don’t know what happened. My attacks were aimed at that fellow...”

“Be careful, second sister!” the fatty shouted from some distance away.

He'd seen the brat switching places with their boss at the very last moment, but that wasn't all. The brat proceeded to charge at the octopus lady, but his second sister was too caught up in having attacked their boss to notice that. So, he had to quickly shout a warning.

By the time the octopus lady registered the warning, Zu An was already at her flank. It was too late for her to dodge his subsequent attack. Even so, she wasn’t worried. She would only lose a few tentacles at worst. With her strong regenerative prowess, she would recover right away.

Her body suddenly jolted. All her tentacles fell limp, and she plummeted to the ground.

She was dead.
