Chapter 4501: Dawn II
As Noah was thinking all of this, The Infiniverse approached with a solemn expression etched across her features.
"Slightly less excruciating?" she asked quietly. "Bearable?"
...!
Noah looked at her and felt a sense of warmth pierce through the constant burning. He knew what she had done. He knew how she had exposed herself to his pain through their connection, how she should know exactly what he now felt every moment of his existence.
So he simply nodded as he said with calm certainty, "Less excruciating."
The Infiniverse nodded in acknowledgment as she calmly said, "Okay. There is lots of work to be done."
Noah looked at her and nodded before he spoke with deliberate care. "Take it easy on the countless lifeforms out there. THE Living Elemental is responsible for this. The weak Living Elementals and Fold Dwellers across the Folds are not. Let’s make sure our rage does not spill onto them unnecessarily."
...!
At his words, The Infiniverse paused as she calmly said, "They won’t feel my rage, but... there will be conquest."
BOOM!
The air trembled with the weight of her declaration.
"I’ve never needed to conquer to grow in a while now," The Infiniverse continued with terrifying calm. "I don’t need to devour the Folds. I don’t need to conquer the countless lifeforms in Observable Existence to advance my power. But I have a duty. You are my duty. And I plan to fulfill my duty, no matter what. No matter if all of Observable Existence has to burn for this duty to be completed."
...!
With such terrifying words carrying the weight of absolute conviction, The Infiniverse disappeared from the space.
"..."
Noah looked at where she had been standing as he shook his head and continued to try and understand THE Organ of Civilization that had just bloomed within him. He sent his Primus Mana and Civilizational Authority of Mana and Hunger into it with careful precision, observing the reaction.
The organ responded to his probing with something like hunger.
He came to find that the more he flooded his Primus Mana and Civilizational Authority of Mana and Hunger into it, THE Organ of Civilization actually pulsed with eagerness like a genuine organ demanding sustenance. The sensation was strange and new, as if a heart had appeared in his brain that beat to a different rhythm than the rest of his body.
So he flooded more and more into it with methodical persistence.
After a few minutes of continuous feeding, droves of Primus Mana and Civilizational Authority of Mana and Hunger flowing into it like rivers into an ocean, he finally received a reaction from this thing that bore the distinction of THE.
THE Organ of Civilization pulsed with brilliant blue gold light.
Noah felt in the next moment, centered in his head, an unfathomably dense and pure authority being released from this organ. It caused all of his existence to buzz with resonance, every cell vibrating in harmony with this new frequency.
New prompts bloomed before his vision.
THE Organ of Civilization has processed the provided resources.
Result: An extremely unique and Unquantifiable Unit of Everything has appeared within your existence.
Effect: Just from the appearance of this Unquantifiable Unit of Everything, the Complexity and Purity of your existence has doubled from 3.5 Septillion to 7 Septillion.
This unit defies standard measurement and categorization.
Unknown potential applications detected.
...!
The prompts were ridiculous to see as Noah’s eyes pulsed with tyranny and immensity, but he forced himself to analyze them logically.
First, yes, his Complexity and Purity had risen ridiculously due to the excruciating pain he was always bearing since THE Living Elemental applied THE Immolation Of The Sacrilegious Savage.
He had continued to gain more than one hundred Sextillion every little while until at this point it had reached 3.5 Septillion before this sudden doubling.
The rate of increase was utterly ridiculous when one truly thought about it with any degree of objectivity. The jump to Sextillion had been grand initially, with Khor having been in the lead with just a little bit over 200 Sextillion. Of course The Infiniverse had taken the lead when she reached 1 Septillion through her own growth.
And due to the excruciating pain from this curse, Noah had exploded upwards to 3.5 Septillion and now to 7 Septillion with this single production.
Whenever he observed this number jumping rapidly as he continued to advance more and more in Complexity and Purity, and yet absolutely nothing had occurred to diminish the terrifying pain of thr curse within his existence, it further confirmed the truth he had been analyzing.
In the future, when it came to dealing with existences that had the power of THE, Complexity and Purity would not be metrics that held immense importance.
An unfathomable qualitative leap would be occurring as the power of the existences of the Civilizational Scale was still a little hard to grasp fully.
Because of this reality, something that came from within his existence from an organ that had the label of THE, something that emerged from such a thing...could effectively double his Complexity and Purity so simply.
Noah looked within his existence with careful observation to examine the Unquantifiable Unit of Everything that flowed out of THE Organ of Civilization.
It was remarkable to behold.
The unit appeared as a Mobius strip suspended in conceptual space, and when he focused his perception inside of it, he observed an extremely dense and pure concentration of Primus Mana and Civilizational Authority of Mana and Hunger.
These authorities were spinning around each other in complex patterns akin to how an atom had electrons, protons, and neutrons moving in orbital shells. The Primus Mana formed the core nucleus, dense and brilliant blue-gold. Around it, the Civilizational Authority of Mana orbited in one shell, while the Civilizational Authority of Hunger orbited in another, both moving in synchronized patterns that defied simple physics.
The whole structure twisted through the Mobius strip configuration, meaning the inside became the outside and the outside became the inside in an endless loop of impossible wonder.
Noah studied it with analytical marvel as he felt this extremely dense type of authority remain floating in his head near THE Organ of Civilization. As he tried his best to quantify and understand it through examination and logical deduction, more information bloomed.
Unquantifiable Unit of Everything
Classification: An authority of mysterious origins originating from THE Organ of Civilization.
Effect: Its mere appearance within your existence has effectively doubled the Complexity and Purity of your existence.
Potential Applications: Could potentially be utilized in reinforcing your body, activating an ability or feature, fueling a Principle, or other unknown functions.
Results are entirely unknown on exactly what could occur upon utilization.
Current Quantity: 1 Unit
Stability: Ridiculously Stable
Recommendation: Experimentation advised with caution.
...!
Noah wanted to marvel at the wonders that he was witnessing, to study this new discovery with the thoroughness it deserved, but the excruciating pain of the continued burning of THE Immolation Of The Sacrilegious Savage caused him to wake from his analytical reverie.
He breathed out slowly, feeling the flames still consuming him.
An excruciating pain was still ever present in his existence even when he was discovering marvels and wonders this pain indirectly led to. The irony was not lost on him that his greatest torment had birthed one his greatest opportunity.
At this moment, he looked inward at THE Organ of Civilization and began continuously flooding it with Primus Mana and Civilizational Authority of Mana and Hunger with renewed purpose.
If one Unit could double his Complexity and Purity, what could ten do? What could a hundred do?
At the same time, he pondered the question that demanded experimentation.
How should he test out what wonders the Unquantifiable Unit of Everything held? And what exactly more did THE Organ of Civilization hold in store as it developed?
The logical approach would be controlled testing, but the curse burning through him suggested that time might be a luxury he couldn’t afford to waste on excessive caution.
Noah observed the Mobius strip of concentrated authority floating in his consciousness and made a decision.
He would feed THE Organ of Civilization continuously and accumulate more Units. Once he had several, he could afford to experiment with one while keeping the others in reserve.
The pain continued to burn, but now it had a purpose beyond simply being endured.
It was fuel for evolution and the price of ascension.
And Noah would pay it gladly if it meant gaining the power to make THE Living Elemental regret the day he had decided to curse him.
The Cultivation Citadel pressed down on him with its weight, and Noah stood firm beneath it, no longer trembling.
His hand reached up to touch his temple where THE Organ of Civilization pulsed with hunger, and he smiled despite the burning.
"Let’s see what you can truly do," he whispered to the organ, and flooded it with even more authority!
HUUM!
The organ pulsed in response, already beginning to process the new resources.
And Noah waited with analytical patience to see what would emerge next.
