Chapter 4343: CHEAT IV
She paused, then added with consideration, "There are, naturally, some features still locked pending further advancement."
LOCKED FEATURES - REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PROGRESSION
[Existential Rollback] - Requires 20 Quintillion Complexity
Ability to restore entire lost weavings or the state of an existence to previous save states(potentially faster restoration of Khor’s power?)(Reverse a Dead Early Creature to a Living Early Creature?)
[Existence Mod Support] - Requires 50 Quintillion Purity
Import abilities and concepts that do not currently Exist in Observable Existence
[THE False Mode] - Requires ??? Complexity and Purity
Parameters unknown. Description: Yes.
[Creative Mode] - Requires Completion of The Way
Unlimited resources, instant construction, and wonder. Existence becomes your sandbox.(Looking at this, you may only truly need Cheating Architect as your focus and no other Principles and nothing else?)
"Oh, and one more thing," RUIN/EDEN added, almost as an afterthought that was definitely not an afterthought.
"The Principle of the Cheating Architect synergizes rather spectacularly with Perpetual Harvest. Every exploit you discover, every rule you break, every system you circumvent...all of it counts as ’effort’ for Perpetual Harvest. You’re essentially being rewarded for cheating. It’s philosophically beautiful, really."
She stepped back, her presentation complete, and offered another bow that somehow conveyed both ’yes its crazy’ and ’I know, I’m brilliant’ simultaneously.
"The full capabilities will, of course, require experimentation to fully realize. I’ve prepared approximately seventeen thousand different exploitation strategies for your review at your leisure. Shall I file them under ’Probably Catastrophic’ or ’Definitely Apocalyptic’?"
...!
At this moment.
At this glorious, unfathomable moment!
Noah’s response was to give the same smile as Tatiana had worn...that sadistic expression with rows of white teeth shining brilliantly in the crimson light of his throne!
It was the smile of someone who had just been handed the keys to existence’s back door and was already planning which fundamental laws to violate first.
And he would violate!
The terrifying things he was about to accomplish with both the Cheating Architect and Perpetual Harvest...oh!
Every rule that claimed to be absolute was about to discover it was merely a suggestion. Every limitation that declared itself fundamental was about to learn it was optional!
Every system that prided itself on being unbreakable was about to meet someone who didn’t break systems...he simply rewrote them until they broke themselves.
The Early Creature, Osmont, sat upon his throne of fire, and existence itself held its breath.
Because the cheating had only just begun.
—
Around this same time.
While Noah continued his advancement in the Earliest Folds, while he just finished aexistence defying battle against Prime Dead Early Creatures...he still had another body moving...in the Wandering Territories.
At this time.
The moment unfolded like existence itself taking a breath before screaming.
Noah’s other body stood there on the deck of the Verdant Ark, surrounded by the bodies of Sigrid, Moiraine, Khor, and the others.
The Living Existences who had been traveling with them...those who had their Clones witness his stand off against the Prime Dead Early Creatures before they all ran away like the fucking rats they were...they were turning toward him with expressions that had transformed from respect into something far more complex.
Fear wrapped in reverence. Terror dressed up as courtesy.
Origin Ama Gias moved forward first, her white eyes blazing with intensity that made nearby space pulse with uncertainty.
She was powerful, yes. A being who commanded trillions in complexity. But right now, in this moment, she looked like someone who had just realized they’d been an ant sharing a room with a giant who had a massjve boot!
One that might simply not notice when they rolled over and crushed everything.
"Early Creature Osmont," she said, each word careful enough to perform surgery with. "I...hope you can forgive our previous... indiscretions."
HUUM!
The word hung there like smoke after an explosion, beautiful and toxic.
Indiscretions.
As if dismissing him, questioning him, treating him like some curiosity to be examined...as if all of that could be wrapped up in a single word and forgiven with a polite apology.
This dumb fucking bitch.
Noah’s expression didn’t change. He simply observed them all with that calm that people mistook for gentleness until they realized it was actually the stillness of a blade before it fell.
He’d gotten used to these moments. The sudden shifts in how beings perceived him when they learned what he was.
The way their entire demeanor would reorganize itself around fear masquerading as respect.
It was almost boring at this point.
Sigrid pressed closer against him, her presence a warm constant in a sea of sudden tension as she and others processed what they just observed of his Way.
She felt no fear of what he was...only certainty in who he’d become. That distinction mattered more than all the complexity in existence.
The other Living Existences were murmuring now, sharing information through channels that crackled with barely suppressed panic.
Early Creature!
The words spread like contagion through their ranks.
Early Creature!
A genuine Early Creature!
An Early Creature who smiled at them like they were children playing at being dangerous.
Khor’s other body stood beside him, her presence radiating calmness as she had been staring at him this whole time as if asking herself...just how ridiculous was his Way?
"Your caution is noted," Noah said finally, his voice carrying no particular warmth or coldness towards Origin Ama Gias. Just statement. Just fact.
"Though I wonder what indiscretions you think require forgiveness."
...!
He let the question sit there, watching Origin Ama Gias’s expression cycle through responses she was wise enough not to voice.
Because what could she say? That they’d been dismissive of his power? That they’d questioned his nature? That they’d treated him like something to be categorized and controlled rather than acknowledged and avoided?
All true. All incredibly stupid in retrospect!
And then, cutting through the tension like a blade through crystallized time, a voice erupted from the front of the Barge.
"What?!"
The word was shock made audible, disbelief given form and sound.
Elysia Firmhand stood at the forefront of the Verdant Ark, her white-blue eyes wide with shock.
She’d been speaking to a clone of her brother, her twin, pointing out landmarks in the distance that marked their approach to the lands of The First Farmer. Casual conversation about navigation, about dangers, about the path ahead!
And then she’d heard.
The Early Creature, Osmont!
Her head whipped around, that perfect composure fracturing like ice under pressure. Her gaze found Noah immediately, cutting through the assembled Living Existences to focus on him with intensity that could have carved meanings into void itself.
Nearby, among the Living Paradoxes, Goliath’s figure also turned!
