"Yes, I don't want you to see my daughter as simply another of your boss, but I want you to treat her as an equal, like this, she will be able to change and learn valuable experience of the world outside. She's been quite sheltered after all," my father said.
I could hear them speaking as I brushed my teeth.
Well, I guess that was father's plan all along, huh? And this is why he isn't getting furious they're treating me so casually.
Quite honestly, I don't mind it! Sounds interesting.
"Haaa…" Uzuki yawned again, probably sitting on another couch as I heard my maids returning, serving everyone coffee and cookies.
I heard Heisuke sitting over a chair and, as the only one that didn't want to treat me casually, he silently sipped the coffee and ate a cookie with great manners.
"Well, it seems that you've grown rather accustomed to your new situation, you three were handpicked as those with greatest potential in my organization that aren't modified humans, homunculi, or other non-humans," said my father. "So I have great expectations for you, who have innate potential and great talent. I believe teaming you with Kireina will help you as well in the long run."
"Thanks boss!" Takamura said. "You're the best boss ever, I would die for you for real."
"Hahaha! You flatter me, Takamura," my father laughed. "Alright then, I am quite busy myself dealing with a lot of paperwork and whatnot, so Kireina, I'll be leaving! Your mission has already been assigned, Heisuke will tell you the details once you begin."
"Okay dad! Thanks!" I said, as I finished brushing my teeth and prepared one last time, washing my face, combing my hair and whatnot. "Alright… ready to slay."
I winked at myself, realizing how pretty I was…
But beauty in this world didn't really amount to much, and today I was going to learn how this strange society, the hierarchies, and powers truly worked.
And while doing so, we'll tackle into this these "new groups" appearing around our territory and possibly kick them out, and find out what they are…
As I walked outside my bathroom, I found all three of them enjoying their coffee and the cookies, Takamura was chatting with Acelina, he seemed to have gotten some interest in her rather than her sister.
"So Acelina when are you free usually? I was thinking we could hang out or something," Takamura said. "I know a good place."
"Uuhh… Well, I prefer to spend my time with the young lady," she said nervously.
"Really? I mean that's nice of you but aren't you tired of babysitting her?" he wondered. "You look really shy for a member of our organization. Wait, don't tell me you've never gone out to just have fun and hang out in the big city?"
"Well… I haven't, no," Acelina said. "I usually take my work seriously…"
"That's fine but everyone need some breaks every now and then!" Takamura said. "Come on, why won't you come with me and-"
"That's enough," Heisuke spoke, his eyes shining bright gold as he glared at Takamura. "Don't force yourself, Takamura… They might look innocent, but they're the young lady's maids. For your own safety, don't provoke them."
"Hah?!" Takamura got angrier. "Hey mind your own business Sakamoto! I do whatever the hell I want!"
"Don't speak to me in such a tone," Heisuke's golden aura surged from his body. "I am your senior and you will treat me with respect."
"Tche, you haven't earned any respect from me yet, old man!" Takamura said while showing him his tongue with black piercings. "Bleeeh!"
"You're so childish, it's not even worth my time to reprimand you…" facepalmed Heisuke.
"Uh, I see that you're getting along just fine?" I asked, giggling a little. "Please don't fight, okay?"
"He started it, ojou-sama!" Takamura complained. "I was just minding my own business! Well, don't you agree though? Would you like to hang out with me once we're done with today's mission?"
"Hahaha! I would love to, but I don't think I'll have the energy," I said with a giggle. "Thank you for inviting me though, Takamura. Maybe on another occasion?"
"Sure!" I just played with him for now, I was never going to go on a date with him.
"Also leave my maids alone, they're mine," I said.
"Uh? Y-Yours? But…" he muttered.
"Takamura, they're mine," I said, sitting by his side and smiling at him.
Part of my face suddenly twisted, melting half of it, revealing black, twisting shadows and glowing eyes made of small, crimson stars.
"Understood?"
His eyes widened, as he quickly sat down more appropriately without his legs over the table, nodding.
"Y-Yeah… I get it, sorry," he muttered, looking rather exhausted out of nowhere. "Damn, just like her father, huh?"
"Good! Anyway, shall we get going then- huh?" I looked at my left side, noticing that Uzuki was already asleep while hugging one of my pillows.
"He's asleep again?!" Heisuke facepalmed. "I'm sorry this happened, young lady… Hey! Hey Uzuki!"
He quickly slapped his face as Uzuki slowly opened his cute, sleepy eyes, and then sat down.
"Sorry… did I fall asleep?" he yawned.
"You did! We got work to do, so get up, we're moving," Heisuke said.
"Sure, sure…" he groaned, as he left behind my pillow and suddenly summoned another strange, blue and white pillow that appeared behind his head, which he rested on while walking.
Wait, that's a thing? Is that his Magic or something?
"Then we're going!" I said. "Acelina, Ismena, take care of the house while we are out please. Once we return, maybe a good dinner for all four of us would be nice too."
"Sure thing! Consider it done," nodded Ismena.
"Good luck and have fun!" Acelina said, waving her hand.
After that, we stepped out of our residential area, and, instead of using any limousine, we walked through the streets, giving a "round" around each block.
"This is called watchdogging, young lady," Heisuke explained to me. "As members of the organization and owners of the territory, when we're on patrol, we walk around the blocks to make sure there isn't anybody suspicious."
