Chapter 1872: Chapter 1864: Contest For Tiny Heaven (5)
The complexities of a greater galaxy in regards to relationships were extensive, especially one as long-lived and profit-driven as the Utmost Purity Galaxy, and given their neutral stance held together by the inexhaustible desire to advance their Alchemic Dao, those complexities were far from ordinary. The Utmost Purity Galaxy took a neutral stance, but they weren't considered true neutral; Alchemic Saints of the three ranks—Earthly, Worldly, and Heavenly, not of the seven Zenith's active lineage often associated and involved themselves in foreign affairs.
The keyword was 'active'; there were many powerhouses such as retired Zeniths, Sovereign Knights who've left for the three other greater galaxies to found Sects of their legacies to one day vie for galactic dominance, or Supreme Sages that have established worlds near the galaxies, holding out the slightest hope while carrying the great ambition to establish a new galaxy, lesser or greater. Many of which had ties, deep or vague, with those operating in the Utmost Purity Galaxy.
Not only were the undercurrents deep and unfathomable within the galaxy, but they were also fiercely antagonistic toward foreigners desiring to impose their will on their territory, changing rules or traditions. This taboo act was ruthlessly enforced, with an overwhelmingly biased exception toward Alchemists. They outlawed cultivators of the Imperial Law for this reason, preventing any cultivators of a certain level from existing or establishing themselves.
If Wei Wuyin hadn't shown his Alchemic Stars of Transcendent Purity openly, acting as a guest in a primary capacity of a Worldly Saint Alchemist with a genuine, established lineage of unique alchemical products, not attempting to buy land or found an empire, they would have kindly rejected him. They were greedy for his Alchemic Dao from the very beginning, plotting excessively to seize it.
Every little decision they made, from the game of Mystics to the All-Alchemic Clash was backed by that desire to absorb his Alchemical Lineage into their own. In the end, they had achieved their goal, albeit suboptimally. Still, the overarching hierarchy of the Utmost Purity Galaxy remained unaffected, and Neo Zenith Tower was simply another tower-rank force that could bolster their Alchemic Dao.
This type of foreign stance generally held true for every greater galaxy. It was one of the reasons why Wei Wuyin had kept his identity as an alchemist front and center at all times, overshadowing his cultivation as an Imperial Ruler. Even though his path was divergent from the typical standard, that was something others simply could not understand at a glance.
If he had tried to act aggressively and establish territorial supremacy, there was very little doubt in his mind that every Dao Enforcer, Sovereign Knight, and Supreme Sage would have taken decisive action against him, sending him packing with tears of blood!
Fortunately, the Neo-Dawn Alchemical Lineage when divination spells were executed exposed their extraordinary foundation of defying conventional standards of the cultivation path or greatly assisting cultivation. Most importantly, it possessed all four alchemical types—Pills, Potions, Pellets, and Pastes—at the Mystic-World grade.
After the game of Mystics and the All-Alchemic Clash, Wei Wuyin had carved out his identity in the Holy Void of Fortune, obtaining some capital for the upcoming developments in the Blessed Yri Empire. While he hadn't expected to become a Heavenly Saint Alchemist so swiftly, it was all because he decidedly threw caution to the wind and used accelerated Temporal Zones, facing the Calamities of Hell at a shorter timeline than originally planned without fear.
In truth, this had significantly changed his initial plans; he was a Heavenly Saint Alchemist now, and while there were hundreds out there, potentially a thousand or more across the entire galactic cluster spanning thirty-three inhabited galaxies, this status was unparalleled. The Supreme Seer of the Seers of the Night was attempting to gain his favor! This was a Supreme Seer at the Supreme Sage-level!
Things were moving far faster than he anticipated.
In comparison, the entire wealth that he had seized from the three lesser galaxies paled in comparison to the transcendent Edict Potion he concocted, and even the three Abstruse Spiritforce Pills of the low-perfection, high-perfection, and peak-perfection qualities that he concocted were enough to stir Supreme Sages to action.
Raw material will always fail to rival ready-to-consume alchemical products of equivalent quality for individual cultivation purposes. An example was Yue Baoyue's Mystic-Heaven grade Hallowed Aqua Royal Sapphire priced at two Mystic-Heaven Essence Stones, but a peak-perfection Arising Sage Elixir, a peak-tier Mystic-World grade Alchemical Product was valued at six Mystic-Heaven Essence Stones!
Now that he had the means to concoct Mystic-Heaven graded alchemical products, even if it only included the Edict Potion and Abstruse Spiritforce Pill, he was at an absurdly high level of financial status. The act of having the Vice-Palace Master of one of the top-tier non-alchemy organizations, a genuine Enlightened Sage, act as a maidservant to Cao Cuifen was a sign of that.
He had to recalculate his current status, hierarchical position, and perceived value, realizing that almost every plan of acting as an underdog ready to fight and clash with anyone daring to challenge him would massively change. The Abstruse Spiritforce Pill solidified this irrefutable status. This cultivation pill could substitute for a True Soul Cultivation Method!
While the Zeniths have gained the legacy, and the Concoction Method has more or less been publicly declared, the truth was that the product was not enough to change the societal balance. Despite the Zeniths having successfully concocted the product to varying degrees, few would ever take an impure Mystic-Heaven grade True Soul-cultivation product for the justifiable fear of affecting their cultivation.
Meanwhile, the recipe wasn't ordinary; one of its core ingredients was a Soul-Bound Treasure, and each Alchemist had to procure their own, and even then, they all gritted their teeth, refusing to lose, so they shelled out their precious Soul-Bound Treasures and refined them for the purpose of a potential alchemical product. Wei Wuyin used three of the nine Soul-Bound Azaleas that he had found in that nest.
Despite the widespread publicization of this alchemical product via the clash, there was no way to mass-produce this pill. The Soul-Bound Lotus was only one of the extremely rare materials required. It was classified as an ancient and a lost concoction recipe for a reason.
It was also far more reliable to just refine the Soul-Bound Treasure itself to cultivate the True Soul than chance it at creating the pill, especially since an impure-quality product of any degree might as well be thrown away, and the investment to attempt to nurture it to low-perfection might take hundreds of thousands of years.
While shifting through fixed space, the Incandescent Star Palace Lord and Wei Wuyin were exchanging continuous spiritual messages. They were discussing this exact topic.
"While the invitation was directed at me, they likely sought a meeting with you, Heaven-Saint Neo-Dawn." The Incandescent Star Palace Lord was forthright with the situation. "The Oakfather is unlikely to be alone. To be honest, your identity as a genuine Heavenly Saint Alchemist changes things. Your Neo Zenith Tower has also garnered great interest."
Wei Wuyin nodded and then asked: "How great is the difference between a genuine Alchemist and a false Alchemist?" While he understood that there was some controversy, he wanted a proper estimation from a native. ꞦᴀNŏᛒȧ
"Unfathomably massive," the Incandescent Star Palace Lord responded without the slightest thought. "The Zeniths stand as the apex of the Alchemic Dao across every galaxy on that single-word difference. You've also showcased your ability to concoct Mystic-Heaven grade Edict Potions under disadvantageous circumstances, and even the long-lost Abstruse Spiritforce Pill."
"Edict Potions?" Wei Wuyin was a little taken aback.
The Incandescent Star Palace Lord solemnly responded: "The four main products of the Holy Void of Fortune's greatest alchemy lineage were the Soul Pill, the Edict Potion, the Void Pellet, and the Mystical Paste—also known as the Incense of Mysticism, and not a single of those false Heavenly Saint Alchemists can create a single one by their lonesome. If they could, they would be classified as genuine."
"Really?" Wei Wuyin furrowed his brows in contemplation, "Aren't they all low-tier among Mystic-Heaven grade products?"
Nodding, the Incandescent Star Palace Lord tried to nail the difference: "And yet, none of the Heavenly Saint Alchemists in the Seven Towers of Heavenly Sages can concoct them without extensive support. You're talented, frighteningly so, and you've enjoyed the latent benefits of serendipitous enlightenment, but please do not underestimate the difficulties in concocting Mystic-Heaven grade products.
Furthermore, our standards required low-perfection minimum out of seven or seventy products, with a 30% success rate with at least two products of a single type, a success rate of 50% with at least one product of a single type, or 20% success rate with at least three products, all of different types, which couldn't be a paste to be regarded as genuine.
"That means that despite numerous Heavenly Saint Alchemists having proper legacies, they would still be classified as false Heavenly Saints if they couldn't reach even that minimal standard, and the first product you've concocted to gain recognition doesn't count."
"Oh? So with the Abstruse Spiritforce Pill, I've more or less achieved that standard? Or must I concoct another product?" Wei Wuyin inquired. After the All-Alchemic Clash, everyone was referring to him as a genuine Heavenly Saint Alchemist, but technically, he'd only achieved a 42%-43% success rate with three products.
"A high-perfection is worth two successes, and a peak-perfection is worth four, so no. You've quite literally had a 100% concoction rate by our standards," The Incandescent Star Palace Lord explained.
Despite knowing this already, hearing it was a little ridiculous. "Can one get higher than 100%?"
"Haha, yes. If you achieve higher than 100%, you're considered to have advanced to the next stage. Concocting four high-perfection products consecutively or out of seven total attempts will elevate you from a Junior Heavenly Saint Alchemist to a Senior Heavenly Saint Alchemist in the eyes of the Utmost Purity Galaxy. Of course, one can take the normal route of concocting high-tier products with the same standards."
"I see." Wei Wuyin personally disliked that the Alchemic Dao had so many different divisions and titles, whether they were Official, Grand, Junior, Senior, or Exalted, it was all a little frustrating.
The Incandescent Star Palace Lord immediately went grim, his eyes glimmering with soulful radiance as he stared ahead. "There's a troublesome fellow here."
"Oh?" Wei Wuyin's Celestial Eyes blossomed with radiant light, piercing into the distortions of space to locate a large group of extraordinary auras.
A grand palace opened its doors.
