Chapter 1357 1351: CKC, The Sky And The Heaven (1)

1357 Chapter 1351: CKC, the Sky and the Heaven (1)

Wu Yu's aura was as calm as a dead sea, utterly undisturbed despite the siege of rampant, rowdy killing intent that battered across fixed space, eliciting thunderous booms of clear warning.

The comets of radiant light, multicolored and dazzling, were three cultivators with furrowed brows. When they arrived at the border of the Aeternal Sky Starfield, they halted at their end, observing Wu Yu vigilantly. Among those present were a few familiar faces—Sky Monarch Bai and Sky Monarch Kong!

The latter's expression was particularly ugly as his eyes reflected Wu Yu's image, the light of recollection brimming his eyes and revealing the faint markings of fear permanently etched into his soul by the Grand Knight on that day. The edge of his fingers twitched sporadically as he stood there, but with a forceful clench of his fist, he halted any sign of it. As a Sky Monarch, he refused to show any fear while within his territory!

The duo of Sky Monarchs were led by an aged figure that had made his appearance here and there over the decades. He was an Imperial Monarch with eyes of hazel-gold that signified the proper Tian Clan Bloodline. He was someone that was one generation away from Ma Zheng and was a great granduncle of Tian Taizong, the Aeternal Sky Divine Emperor! He had an unfathomable status and a reputation that was astonishing across the Grand Cyclic Stellar Region, yet recently he has played second fiddle to the younger generation and up-and-coming Earthly Saints such as Tian Lingyu. He was known to the world as Tian Weilong, also as the domineering, world-rending Dracofist Imperial Monarch!

From time to time, he'd make an appearance, but very rarely. The fact he was here was testament to the importance that the Aeternal Sky Starfield, no, the Imperial Clan placed on Wu Yu's appearance. After all, he was the Alchemic Knight of Wei Wuyin! Moreover, that name—Wei Wuyin—no longer carried the same weight that he had three years ago!

Wei Wuyin was a mere mortal Worldly Saint Alchemist with an Alchemic Astral Soul and retained all of his combat strength, all while being under a hundred, and possessing his own starfield and organization that was terrifying to imagine! By his lonesome, Wei Wuyin was establishing himself in ways that exceeded all imagination! With talent, means, strength that defied the heavens. The sight of him pushing The Serpent back with a single word was etched in the minds of almost every Ascended being that could observe it!

Furthermore, for several years now, the Imperial Clan has been openly debating going to war against the Neo-Dawn Starfield and Wei Wuyin! While the internal strife on the matter was chaotic to the utmost, the fact was fully known by almost the entire world!

For Wu Yu to be at the border of the Aeternal Sky Starfield…

"Grand Knight Wu," Tian Weilong called out softly. His tone lacked any outward aggression, yet his voice was laced with thinly contained killing intent. In truth, he was helpless as these were the orders given by the Emperor himself: "Send him away!"

Three words, yet it set the entire tone and direction of this conversation before Tian Weilong could mobilize any of his guile and experience.

Wu Yu's eyes remained serenely closed, seemingly unable to hear Tian Weilong's bolstering spiritually-spewed voice. Sky Monarch Kong saw this, his heart pounding as his aura began to faintly unfurl. As for Sky Monarch Bai, not an ounce of kind feelings could be seen as he stared daggers at Wu Yu.

Tian Weilong realized Kong Yi's current emotional state, once again feeling helpless. As for Sky Monarch Bai, this grudge-bearing fool was simply being simple; he adored the Empress, worshipped her to an unhealthy level, to the point where a man of his talent and cultivation essentially entered the Tian Clan under extremely stringent conditions simply to be by her side. Yet she was brought to the Alchemic Expo and placed as a secondary host, paraded as eye-candy during the first part of the show, and to him, that was a level of disrespect that deserved a death by a thousand cuts.

Why else would the Emperor send these two with him if not because of their antagonistic feelings? They were undoubtedly the two that were deeply biased against the Neo-Dawn Starfield yet simultaneously the ones that would remain unmoved by Wei Wuyin's exceptional talents and growing status.

Seeing Wu Yu being unresponsive, Tian Weilong frowned slightly. He once again sent: "Grand Kni—"

Before he could even finish his second word, Wu Yu's voice echoed out. "You're not qualified."

They were only three simple words, but when strung together into a sentence, it caused the three Earthly Saints to have wild changes in their expressions! Tian Weilong's status was not low, and neither was his reputation over the years, yet…

"I'm. Not. Qualified?" Each word was enunciated by Tian Weilong with a deep tone, causing fixed space to ripple. It was as if he was asking a question but also daring Wu Yu to say such words again. Moreover, what did that even mean?

Wu Yu calmly nodded as if to answer his question with the greatest of ease, his eyes remaining closed and his aura was utterly calm. The sight was a level of arrogance that caused the three to bristle with anger. Wu Yu might be powerful, but they were the Imperial Clan!

"Not qualified for what, exactly?" Tian Weilong's eyes narrowed dangerously. While he didn't know what Wu Yu meant, just the statement alone had implications of him being inadequate!

Wu Yu faintly smirked, a hint of disdain hung delightfully on his lips. "To send me away. But," Wu Yu's smirk deepened, continuing with a gesture: "you can certainly try." 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝙧𝒆𝙖𝙙.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"..." The trio had differing expressions plastered on their faces, but they were all taken aback that Wu Yu had accurately guessed their purpose. While they emitted killing intent on their approach, that was merely to create a strong stance that was very ambiguous of their intent. It was rather difficult to glean their Emperor's will from that alone. They could be here to negotiate or escort him into the territory with an antagonistic, unbiased force that won't falter to Wei Wuyin's invisible influence.

The two sides remained silent for a long, long while. Then, after releasing a sigh from the depths of his soul, Tian Weilong said: "It's been millenia since I've taken action; I guess the youngsters always forget the old and quiet. I'll just have to see if I'm actually still qualified or not with this old body of mine." Those words were like tossing burning fire into a barrel of oil, the Dark Void grew explosively tense.

Tian Weilong's aura began to seethe; the sounds of a cacophony of dragon roars echoed out, booming to the ears, pounding the walls of the heart, and shaking the spirit, all of which emanated from the seemingly frail and aged body of this Imperial Monarch.

Sky Monarch Bai and Kong Yi felt their entire both immediately become tense. They subtly gave each other a brief look, exchanging all their emotions with a single gaze, and saw each other's eyes flashing with looks of surprise. Tian Weilong was a notable figure with a history dating back to the early days of the Tian Clan's lineage, a figure that was rather low-key, yet never underestimated. However, they had never seen him take action in all their years, especially since the Tian Clan's reigning supremacy exceeded their entire lifetime.

Wu Yu, however, kept his eyes closed, his breathing settled and calm, undisturbed by Tian Weilong's aura, all while seemingly holding that unmissable smirk as if to say: "Go on then." The disrespect of someone nearly twenty thousand years his junior caused Tian Weilong to chuckle softly with blistering fury.

Boosh!

A bright indigo light shot toward Wu Yu in an outburst of whirling mana, space, and essence!

Despite Tian Weilong's imposing words and angered reaction, he was not the first to take action! Kong Yi's eyes blazed with raging, burning killing intent and fighting will. The thought of revenge was far too prominent in his mind as he exploded with a menacing chill that could cause all mortal souls to shudder.

"Die!" Unable to keep his emotions in check, Kong Yi took action, clenching his fist tightly as his Mystic Power swirled every knuckle. He lanced his violently fist forward! An earth-shattering indigo light dyed the Dark Void for tens of thousands of miles, painting the nearby planetary skies a hue of purple. The eyes of countless mortals and cultivators looked up, awe touching their very souls.

Tian Weilong hadn't expected that Kong Yi would take the lead, his expression changing drastically. Seeing that attack that could sunder heaven and earth, he didn't mentally applaud Kong Yi for his power and decisiveness, but shouted as his pupils shrank: "Fool!"

Roar!

A faint draconic roar erupted from Tian Weilong's body as his two fists began to swirl with whirlpools of dark crimson light at the knuckles, forming ten in total, and his aged body moved with stupendous speed. He zipped across fixed space as if he was one with it, seemingly with an ease that was capable only by a long-lived, experienced expert of the Mystic Dao!

Sky Monarch Bai was initially taken aback by Kong Yi's move, but his reaction wasn't slow as an Earthly Saint; he erupted volcanically with a fiery light that scorched the surrounding mana, space, time, and essence as if using them as kindling to fuel it! He hastily followed after Tian Weilong, but his speed was a little inferior, as he lagged behind by quite a bit.

Wu Yu's body was coated in a hue of indigo light as Kong Yi's attack rushed toward him with the tyrannical, maddened force of a world-ending meteor!
