Chapter 3922: All Channels
As expected, the Sixth Night Pillar had not been completely annihilated. Instead, its people had been transferred to the Second and Fourth Night Pillars, both of which had gone through that spatial tunnel.
Lu Yin continued to search for it, but he simply could not locate the passage. He released his consciousness further until it filled most of the universe.
The people on the Fifth Night Pillar were still dying. Lu Yin waved his hand and released the power of karma. This time, his goal was to produce Karmic Lines to determine just how many attack channels the Allsenses truly possessed.
As the Karmic Lines collided, Lu Yin was stunned by what he discovered. It’s actually like that?
Around him, the void was destroyed. Lu Yin looked like a magnet due to how he was constantly drawing more and more Allsenses towards him. He had far too many sensations that could be attacked, given that he could be freely accessed through sight, sound, and everything else. And yet, not a single creature could even get close to him.
Lu Yin took a step forward, appearing above the Fifth Night Pillar. He released another devastating attack that encompassed the entire Night Pillar in a massive shroud of the True Void that then swept outwards, clearing all of the nearby Allsenses.
The Allsenses had spread out to fill the entire universe. The ones surrounding the Night Pillar were only a small portion of the total population.
“Everyone, listen.” Lu Yin’s voice descended.
Everyone on the Fifth Night Pillar looked up, silently listening.
“In addition to sound, sight, and scent, Allsenses can also attack through emotion.
“Joy, anger, sorrow, fear, and bloodlust can all serve as channels of attack. Everyone needs to control their emotions and suppress their inner nature. If you cannot, then retreat into the Night Pillar now.”
The Azuresword Sovereign and many others were startled. Could even emotions be used as channels to attack? Such a thing had never happened before.
Cultivators could release comprehension techniques or use emotions in combat, but at the end of the day, emotions were nothing more than emotions. They were not tangible channels. Despite that, the Allsenses were able to treat emotions as something to attack them through. It was utterly inconceivable.
Reality as humans perceived it was completely different from what these creatures perceived.
To their senses, there must be countless channels filling the cosmos.
Lu Yin looked down at everyone in the Fifth Night Pillar from outer space. Even though he had told them to control their emotions, doing so on the battlefield was far more challenging than doing so while cultivating.
For that reason, he let out a breath and allowed his consciousness to fall upon them. “Everyone, be still.”
The word “still” dropped down on them from above, calming the hearts of everyone in the Fifth Night Pillar. They all felt that they should be still, were capable of doing such, and even that they had to be. Being still was only natural.
Wei Heng looked up in shock and stared at Lu Yin in disbelief. The man’s heart had grown calm.
As a disciple of Greater Sancte Blood Tower, bloodlust was something that had accompanied Wei Heng his entire life. As his cultivation improved, his bloodlust had only grown more intense. While he was strong enough to fully restrain his bloodlust, Wei Heng never did so. Instead, he released it recklessly in order to push himself further.
However, Lu Yin’s single order of “be still” had caused Wei Heng to fully suppress all of his killing intent, and he did not even know why. Was this related to Lu Yin? But he had not done anything. Still, without some sort of outside influence, Wei Heng knew that he would have never suppressed his bloodlust.
If one feared death, how could they possess killing intent?
Even if all the Allsenses attacked Wei Heng through his killing intent, he still would have refused to reel it in and restrain it, and yet he had just done exactly that.
What kind of power is this?
Lu Yin had just used Word Manifestation to calm the hearts of everyone on the Fifth Night Pillar.
Word Manifestation was a power that could manipulate people’s thoughts and consciousness, making them willingly do something. It was a terrifying power. Not even Liu Li had been able to resist it. It was a power that could fully control others, and it was so dangerous that even the Immortals had been so cautious of it that they had tested Lu Yin.
In some ways, it was even more frightening than the sheer strength of an Immortal.
Immortals ruled over the megaverses with peerless strength, but Word Manifestation was a power that did not require any specific level of power. Merely a word was enough to decide everything, and the targeted person would not even realize what was happening.
Additionally, that was not even Word Manifestation’s greatest power.
Word Manifestation was the union of consciousness and thought. Words became the brush, and heaven and earth the painting. All things abided by the law of words; objects stirred with the heart, and people moved with the will.
That was a power that Lu Yin could not fully wield in the Nine Odysseys Megaverse, but since he was out trying to destroy a foreign megaverse, he could continuously hone his mastery of Word Manifestation.
With all of the Allsenses’ attack channels blocked, even if the creatures swam past the people on the Fifth Night Pillar, no one would be affected. On the contrary, if a cultivator attacked, they would be able to eradicate large numbers of the creatures.
There was no need to shroud the Night Pillar with the True Void; Word Manifestation had already placed an invincible armor upon everyone.
Lu Yin did this not only to protect the people aboard the Fifth Night Pillar, but also to search for the spatial passage. That was why he had commanded everyone to stay still and forbidden them from killing the Allsenses.
Karma continued to surge as he observed one Karmic Line after another, causing them to collide as he sought out clues.
Unfortunately, he could only observe the answer, which was the passage itself. The process of finding the path itself remained hidden.
The spatial passage lay beyond the range of Lu Yin’s consciousness. If it had been closer, he would have already found it.
Suddenly, Lu Yin realized something; since the Allsense Megaverse was also a megaverse, then logically, it should have a Mother Tree. Could it be like the Tianyuan’s Fifth Mainland, where the Mother Tree was in a parallel universe rather than the megaverse’s primary universe?
Every megaverse had a primary parallel universe. For the Tianyuan Megaverse, it was the Origin Universe; for the Nine Odysseys Megaverse, it was the extensive mainland. However, it was not possible to see the Mother Tree in the Tianyuan’s Origin Universe, as it had been moved to the Perennial World.
Could the Allsense Megaverse have something similar?
Lu Yin targeted the Mother Tree for his next search as he released a spiral of karma.
This time, he saw a Mother Tree towering high into the sky. In the image, there were countless Allsenses carrying the tree along, all moving in the same direction.
Lu Yin abruptly turned to face a specific direction. He had found it.
The Allsenses were moving the Mother Tree, just as the Lu family had once moved the Tianyuan’s Mother Tree to the Perennial World to protect humanity from Aeternus.
Lu Yin continued to release karma, clashing Karmic Lines together as he searched for clues related to the Mother Tree. Eventually, he pieced together a route.
He took out a stone. This was the pathfinder stone that Gu Duanke had given him to pay for Venerable Lan Ye’s life.
It was possible to attach consciousness to a pathfinder stone. With that, regardless of how far the stone was thrown, as long as the consciousness was there, it would be possible to see through the stone.
Lu Yin gently flicked a finger, sending the pathfinder stone flying out.
While it was only a casual flick on his part, his current strength meant that the force was no less than a blow from a Morrow Behemoth.
The pathfinder stone shot forward with his consciousness attached to it. From the perspective of the moving stone, Lu Yin watched it fly through the void, passing beyond meteorites, stars, and even through Allsenses.
Why were there no other creatures in this entire megaverse? Even if there were no humans, there should at least be other lifeforms. It shouldn’t be possible for there to only be Allsenses in this megaverse.
As Lu Yin observed the pathfinder stone’s journey, he continued to sweep his consciousness across distant planets.
He found traces of intelligent life on some of the planets. One had even given birth to a civilization of advanced technology, but all life had gone extinct. There were only remnants left behind, and those remnants looked truly ancient.
Could everything have been wiped out by the Allsenses?
It was impossible for a megaverse to only produce a single lifeform. Instead, it appeared that the Allsenses had exterminated all other creatures that had ever developed in the megaverse, leaving only their own kind alive. These creatures were much crueler than they initially appeared.
The pathfinder stone continued to fly forward. After a bit, Lu Yin’s eyes lit up. He had found his target. The spatial passage was in front of the stone.
It was a great distance away from the Night Pillar. In fact, any farther, and the stone would have shot out of the Allsense Megaverse.
Lu Yin dropped down until he was beneath the Fifth Night Pillar and raised a hand to touch it. Then, he used a bit of his strength.
Given Lu Yin’s strength, even the massive Fifth Night Pillar was nothing more than a slightly larger pathfinder stone.
The Night Pillar shot towards the spatial passage. With Lu Yin’s Word Manifestation still in effect, everyone remained calm. Thus, no one was affected by any of the Allsenses that they encountered along the way.
Lu Yin arrived before the spatial passage first, and then he waited for the Fifth Night Pillar.
He observed the passage, unsure of what lay on the other side. Originally, he had intended to go through and investigate first, but after considering the situation a bit more carefully, he had decided that it would be best to bring the Fifth Night Pillar with him.
Who knew where they would end up after passing through the tunnel? He might not be able to quickly rejoin the Fifth Night Pillar. Also, the power of Word Manifestation was only effective as he was nearby. So if he left, the Night Pillar would have to deal with the Allsenses’ endless attacks once again. He did not want the tragedy that had befallen the Sixth Night Pillar to replay with the Fifth Night Pillar.
The fact that Ming Zhuo and the others had led the Second and Fourth Night Pillars through this passage was proof of one of two things. The passage was either connected to a battlefield that was intended to eliminate the Allsenses, or the two Night Pillars had been given no other choice.
Regardless, Lu Yin needed to keep the Fifth Night Pillar with him as he explored.
A war against a foreign megaverse should have involved a grand battlefield, not a situation where Lu Yin needed to constantly protect the Fifth Night Pillar. Unfortunately, the Allsense Megaverse was just too bizarre. There was no proper way to fight against the native creatures. While the Allsenses’ defenses were extremely weak and they could be crushed easily, so long as they were able to lock onto a target through a valid attack channel, they could kill practically anyone.
A cultivator’s strength meant nothing. This had suppressed the human forces so much that Lu Yin had been left with no choice but to protect the entire Fifth Night Pillar. He would have been better off traveling to the megaverse on his own.
On a battlefield like this one, it would be far more effective for a top powerhouse to act alone than for an entire group of cultivators to take action, unless a person was cold-blooded and did not care whether their companions lived or died.
The Night Pillar arrived, and Lu Yin pushed it to the side, altering its trajectory like he was shifting a massive boulder. The vessel then hurtled towards the spatial passage.
Aboard the Fifth Night Pillar, everyone could only watch and passively accept whatever Lu Yin did to them.
They had come to the Allsense Megaverse to fight a war, but instead, they were being protected.
Even someone like Lang Ruyu, who had never wanted to fight in the war at all, felt suppressed.
There was no avoiding their situation. All wars against a foreign megaverse were difficult. In retrospect, the Odysseys Megaverse’s cultivators had been fortunate. Even if they had been forced to fight, there had been meaning to their efforts.
The Allsenses were seemingly endless, and even slaying them in massive numbers meant nothing. There was simply no end to them.
The only possibility seemed to be directly resetting the Allsense Megaverse.
An unusual scene played out in outer space. The massive Fifth Night Pillar passed through the spatial passage, until it ended and the Night Pillar entered a parallel universe.
In an instant, a massive Night Pillar suddenly appeared in a universe out of nowhere, with no indication of its arrival, and yet its arrival drew a great deal of attention.
Far away from the spatial passage, someone had been continuously observing the passage.
When the Fifth Night Pillar appeared, someone shouted, “A Night Pillar! A Night Pillar! A Night Pillar’s arrived!”
It was the Fourth Night Pillar, which was commanded by Ming Zhuo. There were also a significant number of cultivators from the Sixth Night Pillar. At the moment, they were using a specific formation to stave off the Allsenses.
When people heard the shout, many eyes turned to look at the passage.
Most people were unable to see that far, but those who could grew visibly excited.
The arrival of another Night Pillar meant that reinforcements had arrived.
