The Evolution of a Goblin to the Peak

Chapter 1201: Esquin Georagnisus

Chapter 1201: Esquin Georagnisus

Esquin stepped closer, his tone calm yet piercing. "The Heaven’s Calamity also knew of the Original Sin. It is no myth. It is real. The Aspect of Gluttony was devoured by me. And coincidentally, in your attempt to escape this place, you tried to sacrifice yourself. But I refused. That was the first time I revealed the true power of Gluttony to you."

Esriel recalled everything, each memory striking her as if it had happened only yesterday. Her body shook as she whispered, "You are the Ruler of Gluttony... and you always will be."

"The moment I was born, I was the Ruler of Gluttony," Esquin replied calmly. "The Aspect of Gluttony is me. Back then, I was merely managing a small organization, not daring to reveal my true power. Do you remember what the lingering will of the Heaven’s Calamity told me?"

Esriel slowly lifted her head, her voice trembling as she spoke, "You have the power of Gluttony. You will become the strongest... but now you must devour him. To truly leave this world, he chose you to devour him."

"Exactly," Esquin said, a faint edge of satisfaction in his voice. "He hid a fragment of his will in this realm to avoid total erasure by the Administrators. In the end... he couldn’t bear it and wanted to disappeared."

The lingering will of the Heaven’s Calamity was bound to this place, the Tomb of Gluttony. No matter what he did, he could not escape. So, rather than remain trapped, he chose to completely perish.

"Being devoured by me... that was his choice," Esquin said, his gaze unwavering. "He was the one who revealed himself to us, and told us about the World Amalgamation. But that doesn’t mean leaving the Tomb of Gluttony is something one can do lightly."

Esriel’s voice trembled. "But... how did you gain the power of Gluttony?"

"Just as you said," he replied, his tone cold and matter-of-fact. "It has always been me. There was no inheritance, no living labyrinth to conquer. It is simply who I am. You will understand once you ascend to godhood. In the end... leaving the Tomb of Gluttony required a part of me."

Esquin reached out and grasped the red-and-white sphere. The moment it touched his hand, an overwhelming surge of power erupted within him, and the sphere dissolved into his very being.

He closed his eyes and whispered, "It’s been inside you all this time... a part of me I had lost."

Esquin savored the sensation of reclaiming it. The feeling was intoxicating, both overwhelming and strangely satisfying.

The Aspect of Gluttony had devoured it, absorbing it into him, while sealing a fragment within his sister. All of it was bound to the Tomb of Gluttony, the final resting place of the former Ruler of Gluttony.

Boom!!

The entire tomb trembled violently under Esquin’s might. The ground cracked, the walls quivered, and the very air seemed to choke under the oppressive force. Time, space, and reality itself bent and twisted.

Esriel’s eyes widened as she stared at her brother. Suddenly, her mind felt as though it would fracture under the sheer weight of it all. She clutched her head, collapsing to her knees as an unbearable wave of pain coursed through her.

Ohm!!

Esquin opened his eyes, and a sword materialized before him. Its blade was shrouded in writhing darkness, and a massive, unblinking eye stared from its hilt, as if observing everything. Shadows slithered along the edge of the blade, moving like living tendrils.

"The former Ruler of Gluttony... Arbor Deamon, here you are," he murmured. He reached out and grasped the sword. "The [Earth Eating Sword]... I will show you the world beyond this place."

As Esquin’s gaze fell on his sister, a memory flickered through his mind. Suddenly, Esriel’s body went limp as she had lost consciousness.

"Mortals should never be near a god exuding the power of Grid," he said quietly. "Every word, every action... carries a force that could shatter a mortal mind."

...

Empire.

Angels, fallen angels, and other factions stood silently as the smoke slowly dissipated. The threat of the Gluttony Army was undeniable, too great to ignore.

As the last tendrils of smoke vanished, their eyes fell upon the scene. The massive palace that once stood there had been reduced to nothing, replaced by a yawning pit of unknown depth. Violent sparks of energy danced across its surface, crackling with raw, uncontrollable power.

’Is it done?’ Vashno thought, standing at the back, silently witnessing the overwhelming might of a Ninth Shackle Realm expert.

Even so, one truth remained clear: nothing associated with the Gluttony Army could ever be underestimated.

In the next moment, the two Ninth Shackle Realm experts suddenly stiffened. Their eyes widened as if frozen in midair, sensing something incomprehensible.

The others hadn’t noticed anything yet. They were still focused on the aftermath of the battle between the higher-level angel and fallen angel.

Ohm!!

A crimson light flickered violently above the enormous spatial crack in the sky. The sudden surge shook the entire secret realm, sending ripples of energy cascading across the land.

"What?!"

"What’s happening?!"

Vashno and the others turned their heads, following the red lights flickering ominously in the sky and then they saw it.

A massive patch of darkness had appeared out of nowhere, like a gaping, jagged mouth in the void. It snapped and churned in midair, devouring the two Ninth Shackle Realm experts in an instant.

On the battlefield, countless onlookers caught the horrifying scene from the corner of their eyes. Fear gripped them as the loss of even one Ninth Shackle Realm expert was unimaginable. Two... gone in an instant.

And then, above the void that had swallowed them, a figure shrouded in darkness emerged, hovering like a shadow over the devoured.

Upon seeing the figure, everyone immediately recognized a presence far beyond their comprehension, a higher being. Their bodies trembled uncontrollably, gripped by an oppressive force that seemed to demand absolute submission.

The figure was none other than Esquin Georagnisus, the infamous Ruler of Gluttony.

"It’s done... the Tomb of Gluttony has been opened," he said, his voice calm yet carrying a weight that pressed on every existence in the area.

Esquin’s gaze swept over the immense spatial rift before him, and then, with a single motion, he flew into it.

Plop!!

The onlookers collapsed to their knees, gasping for breath, their hearts pounding as if they had faced death itself. And in truth, they had. One mere thought from that godlike being could have snuffed out their lives without effort.

The air remained heavy with fear, the presence of the Ruler of Gluttony lingering like a shadow over the battlefield.

...

After passing through the spatial rift, Esquin arrived in a realm of endless white, a boundless expanse of light and clouds stretching beyond the horizon. The very air seemed to hum with quiet, otherworldly power.

Swoosh!!

Two figures materialized midair, their gazes fixed on Esquin with unyielding hostility.

Both were clad in striking armor, one in white, the other in black, radiating the immense energy of God-rank beings. One was an angel white the other was a fallen angel.

The angel was Archangel Veinn. Her long white hair flowed like liquid light, and her piercing green eyes locked onto Esquin with unwavering determination. She wore silver armor that radiated a pure, blinding glow, her presence exuding both grace and absolute power. In her right hand, she carried a small, round shield; in her left, a short sword gleamed with divine light.

Known as the Angel of Justice, Veinn was a formidable God-rank powerhouse within the Angel Faction, her very presence inspiring awe and fear.

The other figure was the Fallen Angel Coriel, also known as the Wings of Mercy. Her long gray hair flowed like smoke, framing a pale face marked by heterochromatic eyes—one red and white, the other black. She wore a flowing black dress, and from her back sprouted four pairs of dark, menacing wings. In her hands, she wielded a long staff, tipped with a small pair of wings at its end, radiating an aura of both elegance and deadly intent.

"Ruler of Gluttony..." Coriel’s voice was low, sharp, her eyes narrowing as she assessed him.

"What are you trying to achieve in this place?" Veinn asked, her tone icy and commanding.

Facing their oppressive presence, Esquin chuckled, a sound that carried both amusement and menace.

"I’m here to kill the two of you," he said. "My preparations are complete. I will end you to demonstrate the full extent of my power."

Veinn’s eyes blazed. "Kill us? Are you even capable of that?" She tightened her grip on her sword and shield, her energy flaring uncontrollably. Every muscle and nerve in her body was ready to strike, prepared for battle at a moment’s notice.

"The Tomb of Gluttony has opened," Esquin declared. "And it will be your graveyard as well."

He spread his arms wide, laughter echoing through the boundless white expanse.

Bang!!

The entire realm convulsed. A shockwave rippled outward as a terrifying force pierced through the very fabric of the dimension.

Countless runes flickered into existence, manifesting across the sky, the clouds, even the very light around them.

The realm itself seemed to recoil as the runes pulsed, bending space, strangling laws, and announcing the arrival of something catastrophic.
