When the young lady stepped inside the house, a servant was passing by with a duster when she saw the familiar face, and she almost screamed in shock.
"Miss FangSu!" The servant greeted with a bow.
That's right, the young lady that just stepped in is Fu FangSu, Fu Hua, and Fu YingPei's younger sister, the most pampered grandchild of the Fu family, the old man's favorite grandchild.
Hearing that the youngest grandchild of the Fu family was back, the servants came to take a look. They greeted her respectfully and two of them took her bags to her bedroom.
It was a good thing her bedroom was cleaned every week by the servants, so she didn't have to worry about dust.
"Where is everybody?" Fu FangSu asked as she looked around with a calm demeanor. She looked beautiful and young and seemed to be of Jia Li's age.
Fu Hee was in her bedroom having a rest when a servant came to announce her daughter's arrival.
"What did you say? FangSu is back?" Fu Hee asked in shock as she immediately got off the bed.
"Yes, Ma'am." The servant replied with a smile. And before she could blink her eyes, Fu Hee had already rushed out of the room.
The servant followed after her immediately and called for her to slow down.
When Fu Hee walked into the main sitting room, she saw her beloved daughter standing there win a smile directed at her.
"Mum, I'm back." Fu FangSu said as she gazed at her mother with a beautiful smile.
"FangSu?" Fu Hee called out with an affectionate gaze before immediately going over to her daughter's side to hug her.
"Mum, it's me." Fu FangSu said as she embraced her mother with a big smile.
"I missed you so much, dear daughter." Fu Hee cried out as she hugged her daughter tightly in her arms.
Fu Hee was already emotional on seeing her daughter and as she hugged her, her eyes became teary.
"I missed you so much, mum!" FangSu said as she hugged her dearest mother.
After a while, Fu Hee pulled her to sit over on the sofa and immediately grabbed her hand and looked her in the eyes.
"SuSu, you are so slim, are you eating properly at all?" Fu Hee asked as she sniffed. Seeing how slim her daughter was, she felt like crying.
Maybe all the troubles and difficulties she had been going through for the past few months, overwhelmed her and seeing her daughter, triggered those emotions.
"Mum, I'm eating fine. I'm only on a diet because of the last Fashion Week just before I decided to come back." FangSu explained with a smile.
"Still, you look so slim. I'm so worried about you. But how come you didn't tell anyone you were coming back home, you gave our old mother a big shock by appearing just like that." Fu Hee said with worry, as her eyes remained teary.
Fu Hee wiped her mother's tear-stained cheeks and said to her, "I wanted to surprise all of you and it worked."
"You really gave me a shock. You also took a big risk. There are so many cars in the house with security but you took a cab back home after being away for so many years." Fu Hee chided her in a soft tone.
"Alright mum, stop complaining! I am here now, it won't happen again." Fu Hee said as she chuckled softly. She thought her mother worried about insignificant matters unnecessarily but it felt good to be basking in her mother's love and concern.
"How can it happen again? I'm not allowing you to leave next time." Fu Hee said as she embraced her again.
Grandfather Fu was in his study practicing Calligraphy when Butler Lu came in with a smile.
"Sir, Miss FangSu is back." Butler Lu announced happily.
Grandfather Fu's hand slipped and he made a mistake but he wasn't angry. He put his brush down and glanced at his Butler to confirm the news.
"Sir, the young miss is back, she is in the sitting room with her mother." Butler Lu revealed, as he couldn't stop himself from smiling, as this was good news, or so he thought.
"This is good... my granddaughter is back, this is a blessing!" Grandfather Fu said in an excited tone as he got up and left his study with Butler Lu following closely behind him.
There were only a few things that made the old man of the Fu family so happy and it seems that Fu FangSu's return was one of them.
Grandfather Fu was excited that his precious granddaughter was back after a long time. She was the person he doted on the most amongst his grandchildren and she was his favorite.
FangSu was still chatting with her mother when she heard her old man's voice and his footsteps. An exciting look could be seen on her face when she saw her grandfather and she immediately abandoned her mother and ran to hug the old man.
"SuSu!" Grandfather Fu called out happily as his dearest granddaughter came to embrace him. FangSu was careful not to put her wait on him.
"Grandfather, I missed you so much!' FangSu cried out when she hugged one of her favorite persons.
Fu Hee stood up and glanced at them with a smile. She was happy her daughter was back and had returned to her rightful position.
"SuSu, if I didn't come out, you wouldn't have come to greet me?" Grandfather Fu asked as he feigned anger.
FangSu released the old man and said while acting like his spoilt little princess, "Grandfather, how dare I not come to meet you? Mother saw me first, so I had to greet her and I was about coming to find you when you came over. Forgive me, grandfather."
"How can I bear to hold something against you? You are welcome back to your home." Grandfather Fu said to her.
"Thank you, grandfather!" FangSu said with a smiling gaze.
"Now that you are back, you need to freshen up and rest properly, the kitchen will serve you some snacks first while preparing the local dishes for you." Grandfather Fu said.
"I can't wait to eat the local dishes, I missed them a lot over there," FangSu said with a pout.
"You will enjoy them. Go and relax, I will call everyone back home to celebrate your return." Grandfather Fu said while patting her shoulder, then turning to Fu Hee, he said, "Allow SuSu to rest. There is a lot of time for you two to catch up."
"Yes, father.." Fu Hee said respectfully.
