Chapter 6640: It Has Finally Begun
Chapter 6640: It Has Finally Begun
“True God level?”
Wang Yuxian’s expression became incredibly exaggerated. She was feeling not just astonishment but also horror. Such shortcuts were tempting—this was a once-in-a-lifetime chance for her to reach a level where she might never reach right away.
However, she knew that hastiness in cultivation was a cardinal sin. It would hinder her future breakthroughs.
“You should feel it for yourself,” Chu Feng said as he pushed the God’s Era’s power toward Wang Yuxian.
Wang Yuxian grabbed a small bit of it and absorbed it into her body. Moments later, her lower jaw slackened, and her eyes lit up in delight.
Every breakthrough was a process of remolding one’s body and soul, granting them greater strength and abilities.
A certain kind of energy was required to remold one’s body. Natural energies were the foundation of cultivation, but unfortunately, they were limited. To cultivate faster, cultivators sought resources that harnessed natural energies.
But it would be premature to assume that two cultivation resources were the same just because they harnessed the same natural energies.
A good cultivation resource provided energy that was easy to assimilate.
An excellent cultivation resource harnessed martial enlightenment as well, allowing the cultivator to overcome their bottlenecks.
Not all martial enlightenment was equal.
Martial enlightenment had to be personally deciphered and understood by the cultivators, so ease of deciphering was critical.
The power Chu Feng had just given to Wang Yuxian contained the highest level of martial enlightenment, and there were no side effects whatsoever.
“This is God’s Era’s power, but each individual can only assimilate a limited amount. With your talent, there is a good chance you can reach True God level right away,” Chu Feng said.
“You’re giving away God’s Era’s power just like that?!”
Wang Yuxian thought that the gift was too much for her to accept.
“As I have told you, each individual can only assimilate a limited amount of it. I have already given it out to many people, but I still have a lot of it left. You are my friend. There’s no way I wouldn’t reserve a portion for you. You should assimilate it now, so that I can help you if you encounter any problem,” Chu Feng replied.
“All right.” Wang Yuxian finally nodded.
Thus, a series of consecutive phenomena appeared in the sky.
Wang Yuxian underwent consecutive breakthroughs, but she stopped at rank nine Half-God level in the end, just a step away from True God level.
“You don’t want to make a breakthrough anymore?” Chu Feng asked.
“You can tell?” Wang Yuxian was surprised.
“I can sense it. You could have reached True God level in a single breath if you wished to,” Chu Feng replied.
“It looks like I can’t hide anything from you. Chu Feng, I do think that it is a miracle for a cultivation resource without any side effects to exist, but I think that I should pave my path one step at a time to ensure a solid foundation. I want to acclimatize myself to the power of rank nine Half-God level before continuing my breakthrough. I believe that will be helpful to me,” Wang Yuxian replied.
“That works as well.” Chu Feng nodded.
If there were a way for him to make a breakthrough without shaking his foundation, he would have gone for it right away. Wang Yuxian’s worry was unfounded. However, everyone had their personal beliefs about cultivation. If this put Wang Yuxian’s heart at ease, it would be better for her to do so.
Otherwise, this matter might nurture an inner demon and hinder her future cultivation.
Next, Chu Feng made his way to the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect. He needed to settle the matter concerning Wen Xue.
Soon, he learned that Wen Xue had already left, and the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect’s sectmaster was currently in closed-door training. No one told him about Yaoyao, as they didn’t know that Wen Xue had taken her away.
There were many people whom Chu Feng cared about in the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect. Some were friends whom he had made inside the sect, but he had kin and friends residing here as well.
Back when the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion first stationed people in the Ancestral Martial Galaxy under the pretext of protecting it, the sectmaster was worried that the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion might go after Chu Feng’s loved ones, so she brought them all into the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect to protect them.
She prepared independent realms for them to reside in, and she even granted a chance for juniors with whom Chu Feng was on close terms to join the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect.
This was a fortuitous encounter for some of them. They wouldn’t miss such an opportunity.
As a result, Chu Lingxi, Xia Yun’er, Li Yue’er, Wuma Shengjie, Kong Tianhui, Kong Ci, Long Ning, Xian Yun, and many others were now members of the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect.
These people had been cultivating or doing missions at different places of the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect, but upon learning that Chu Feng had returned, the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect made an exception and called all of them over.
They had already heard about the situation outside.
Kong Longxi and the others wanted to join the Chu Clan Alliance and fight the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion alongside Chu Feng.
However, Chu Feng told them to stay in the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect. His mind would be more at ease this way.
A long-awaited reunion among good friends was a prime time to catch up, but Chu Feng was worried that a mishap would happen while he was away. So, he left right after handing them the resources he had prepared for them.
Chu Lingxi, Xia Yun’er, and a few others looked wistfully in the direction where Chu Feng had left. Kong Tianhui, on the other hand, didn’t hesitate to open the Cosmos Sack to see what Chu Feng had given him.
“Let me see what my Brother Chu Feng has brought. H-h-h-h-holy shit!”
Kong Tianhui fell on his bottom in shock.
His reaction invited confused gazes from the others.
“L-little sis, take a look for me. Am I seeing things? Did my monthly period go haywire, causing me to hallucinate? The items inside the Cosmos Sack can’t be real, right?” Kong Tianhui asked as he passed his Cosmos Sack to his little sister, Kong Ci.
“What do you mean by your monthly period going haywire? You don’t even have periods!” Kong Ci rolled her eyes at her big brother, though she did reach out and take his Cosmos Sack.
Everyone initially thought that Kong Tianhui was causing a big fuss out of nothing. Some even secretly laughed. They didn’t think that such a reaction was warranted just because Chu Feng gave them something.
Even Kong Ci thought the same.
But when she took the Cosmos Sack and inspected its contents, she, too, became stupefied. She quickly checked the Cosmos Sack that she had received from Chu Feng herself, and all of a sudden, she couldn’t pick up her slackened jaw anymore.
“My gosh, my gosh, my gosh! Isn’t C-C-Chu Feng being t-t-too generous? E-e-everyone, look at your own Cosmos Sacks!”
Upon seeing Kong Ci’s reaction, the others quickly inspected their Cosmos Sacks. What they saw completely shocked them. No matter how beautiful or dashing they were, their expressions were all more exaggerated than the other.
Compared to them, Kong Ci’s response could be considered dignified.
The treasures inside the Cosmos Sack were like a dream to them.
“Uwaaaaa!” Kong Tianhui suddenly burst into tears.
“My brother didn’t lie to me. He said that he’d bring me better resources the next time he returns. He has held to his promise. Can he be more amazing than this?” Kong Tianhui cried despite having a wide grin on his face.
The previously dazed crowd burst into laughter upon seeing his exaggerated expressions. At the same time, it confirmed that this was all real. Chu Feng had given them things surpassing their wildest imagination.
Once again, their cultivation was going to grow by leaps and bounds.
And thinking about it, the last time their cultivation surged forward was also thanks to Chu Feng.
While the others didn’t express themselves as intensely as Kong Tianhui, they shared the same emotions as him. They felt warmth from the bottom of their hearts.
They knew people who forgot their old friends and distanced themselves from their kin after making it big, so they could better integrate themselves into a higher social class. But Chu Feng remembered them no matter how high he climbed.
It felt good to have a friend like that.
...
Chu Feng was on the way to meet Little Fishy and the others when he sensed something amiss. He quickly stopped, activated his observation means, and examined God’s Era. His face quickly turned grim.
“It has finally begun.”
