Chapter 4420: Breakthrough

"Return soon, Prime Arys," called out Prime Wolfden as I stepped into the gate. "I will," I lied.

I had told them I am going out for two weeks and remained close as always, but it’s a lie. I will be out for more than two weeks; three to four weeks at least.

The soul senses tracked me till I reached the last layer, before they disappeared.

I didn’t feel relief, so I spread my senses far and wide. Sensing people, the cultists. A lot of them have been moving near the village.

It is why they had forbidden most people from going out. There might be a truce, but there is no trusting the cultists.

We must be as careful as possible when dealing with them. It is why, the moment I walked into the blind spot of their soul senses, I took out my abode and entered inside.

It is very hard to find my abode than me. The last couple of times, the cultists searched for me far and wide, but they had never found me.

Step!

I stepped inside the abode and a moment later tapped on the control panel. Seeing the course.

It is safe here; they won’t be able to find me, but I want to go to a safer place.

While it happened, I walked to the practice room before sitting down. I took a deep breath before closing my eyes in meditation.

Time passed, and before I knew it, three and a half hours had passed before I opened my eyes.

I had already reached my destination, and there is no soul sense around me. I am a space that is rarely visited; it is so open that nobody comes to hide here.

"It’s time," I said.

The next moment, a ring appeared on my finger, while I closed my eyes.

I am going to make a breakthrough. I had already made all the preparations, taken a long rest, and even meditated to calm my mind.

Now, the only thing that remains is to do it.

I appeared in my core, in front of the humanoid, which is shorter than the last time, with fewer runes. As of now, 43.7% of the runes are ancient runes.

It’s a truly massive number. When I began, I thought that even 20% would be a huge accomplishment at this stage, but now it is more than double.

It will further provide me with greater power and better abilities, which I will need for what I am planning to do.

The only thing I have to do is succeed, which is always a trick and becomes trickier with the increased forbidden power given to me at every level.

There is a risk, but I have made every preparation to lessen it. Now, there is nothing to be done other than making a breakthrough.

With that thought, I tapped on the runic humanoid. A moment after that, I was ejected from the core.

The runes of the breakthrough formation had covered me fully. There is not an inch that is not covered in them.

My breakthrough formation is really good and I have made a small changes to make it even better.

The last time, I forged it when I was an Earth Sovereign. While I haven’t reforged it since then, I have had many small changes, especially since coming here.

I might be a Sky Sovereign. There are many things about me that are similar to Prime, including the power.

The data on the Prime breakthrough has been tremendously helpful to me. I hope it will help, as I had been expecting with this breakthrough.

I cleared my mind and focused on the breakthrough.

My core had lost its form and turned semi-liquid. A second and a half later, it began to spin, absorbing the essence as it does.

I had prepared the resources for the breakthrough before I came to this place, but after coming to this place, I changed a lot of resources.

They were better than the ones I had earlier selected.

This realm may be a prison, but it has amazing resources. I had collected and brought a lot of them. Further enriching my collection.

It had given me a larger collection to trade when I leave this place.

That is always a little problem for me, since most of the resources I have been producing in my core are untradable for obvious reasons.

I watched my core move faster and faster, absorbing more resources.

I have seen the amount of resources people use during the Prime breakthrough. It is much less than I; they are also a little different.

Which isn’t surprising, seeing my body and soul are different than the rest and require different resources compared to them.

This will be more divergent as I reach higher levels, but some of the resources will remain the same.

Many Prime’s used many resources, which I use. I had let them use my resources during the breakthrough. It is one of the reasons why Prime Rava immediately returned my breakthrough formation as she finished with it.

She understood it had storage and didn’t want to degrade it.

They use many of the resources, but I don’t mind. I get the data and that energy, which is only produced during the breakthrough, which is very important when I reforge the breakthrough formation.

I had collected enough of it that I won’t need to take the risks for it in the future.

Minutes passed, and my core absorbed more and more resources till it reached the limit of what it could absorb.

It is a massive amount of essence; it is absorbing every second. If anyone likes Prime Rava to see it, they would be shocked to their core.

Each breakthrough is increasing the appetite of my core. It sometimes makes me worried that one day there might come a day when I won’t be able to provide it the resources it needs.

It is a scary thought, and I hope it won’t come to that.

One hour, seventeen minutes, and fifty-four seconds later. My core had stopped absorbing the essence and began to slow down, before stopping.

It didn’t remain such for long and began spinning again several seconds later, this time absorbing the energies.
