Monster Integration

3344 Out of the Wall

‘It is time,’ I said as Nero called. I got up and walked through the tunnel; I have been waiting in the last tunnel for the past four hours.

It turned out I have crossed the tunnel, a little too quickly. There was still dark outside, with a dense energy that was deadly to me. I waited by the tunnel till the energy lessened enough that I could walk out of it.

I have been worried every minute about the storm.

With me stuck between a rock and a hard place, it would have been quite a hard decision to make.

Thankfully, the lady’s luck seemed to have favored me. I didn’t sense even a hint of storm and now I am going out of this damn wall.

Soon, I reached the end of the tunnel and jumped into the darkness.

On the way here, I didn’t see even a glimpse of Magnus. It is not surprising, Jeh had hinted, they need to visit one place on the other side of the wall before leaving.

I hope they will be safe on their journey. I am confident they will. It is me I should be worried about.

The suppression lifted as I jumped out, but the powerful energies of the night hit me a moment later.

They are strong enough that they are pressing against my armor hard, but not strong enough that they could breach through it.

As I landed on the ground silently, my stealth method had adjusted itself and I didn’t waste time in continuing with my journey.

According to the information I have got from the Magnus. This ruin will close in twenty-two days. It had been already five months since this ruin had opened and we have come later.

It should take me a week to ten days to get out of this mist valley before I got to the exit.

I am not in a hurry to reach the exit, since I have no place to go after getting out, unless I plan to go to the place about which Magnus had given me information.

From the information I have read about it; it is a great place. Especially for people like me; there will be no Grimms, but it will be dangerous.

Still, seeing the benefits it could provide me, I am thinking about going there, but going to that place is not easy.

It is quite far. I will need months to reach there. I will have to cross the regions and even for a people of my power, it takes months or even years.

It is not simple traveling; there are dangers and unpredictable circumstances, and I am not powerful enough to crush through them yet.

I have yet to decide if I want to go there.

In killing all these Grimms and some natives, I was able to get quite a lot of information. The information had given me a lot of lists of places I could go, and some of them were very enticing.

I plan to make a decision, before leaving the mist valley.

Until then, I will focus on my other goal, reaching the limit.

This ruin is the best place for that. Outside, I won’t be able to find the Grimms, so easily. It is such a regret that I couldn’t level up. In these twenty-two days, it would have been great if I could reach the Peak of Primary III.

Grimms would have taken me to the limit and the only thing I would have needed to worry about would have been reaching the Sovereign.

Not to mention the treatments. Which I haven’t even started since I made the breakthrough.

I have to do that form tonight and thankfully, my soul can take the treatment, thanks to yellow place. Which helped me immediately as well as provided me with long-term benefits.

I sighed and moved through the darkness; my speed is much slower than it had been in the tunnel.

There is no way I could be able to move with that speed here. The danger is too much, but it is fine. With the increase in strength, I would be able to move much faster than when I had come to mist valley.

Though it will be quite a challenge for me to reach the end of the mist valley at the same time, it took me to reach the wall.

Thanks to the Grimms, I was able to save one to two days.

There is a still chance I might be able to achieve it. At this time, I had a clear map; I didn’t have to fumble to find the best way or stuck for hours, searching for a way through the spatial shamble.

Roarr!

I was walking silently through the dark; when I heard a roar.

Nero is saying there is a battle. An Earth Sovereign is fighting against the Grimm, and he wanted to go there.

“No. Focus on the road ahead,” I said. Going out of this place is important, and it’s not like he hadn’t seen the battles of the Earth Sovereigns before. He had seen them many times.

This place has a lot of Earth Sovereigns, and they are always fighting.

An hour passed, and I crossed quite a lot of distance. Thanks to Nero, I am able to move through this monster-infested area without getting discovered by a single monster.

Including an Earth Sovereign one, which flew above me.

In this past hour, the energy had lessened a lot, giving me quite a breathing space. I had lowered the defense of my armor and increased the stealth power; half an hour more and I should be able to bear the energy with the normal defense.

‘Father, hide,’ said Nero suddenly, and I did it without hesitation.

Immediately, I had submerged myself in a small pond of water not far away from me. Thankfully, there was no monster, aside from a small Mid-Sovereign Snake, which I killed in an instant.

In less than three seconds, I am submerged in water, with my aura melding with it.

It would be hard, aside from Earth Sovereign, to find me inside it.

Hun!

Twelve seconds later, I saw the group of Grimms. They are a little more than a mile away from me and are Sovereign. I was about to ask Nero why he had made me hide from the Sovereigns when my gaze fell on one.

It seemed to suck the light out of the night itself. If I had not been looking through Nero’s eyes.

I wouldn’t have been able to see it all.

‘Grand Art,’ I could recognize the Grand Art when I see one and it is stealth type. The most surprising thing: it is barely using the power of the art.

Nero could see the power it is using, and it is in a small amount, but despite that, it is able to hide itself well.

I wanted to curse that bastard. If it had not been present, there, I would have tried against those Grimms.

Three out of four had bloodlines.
