Chapter 4599: Ridiculous Amount
“So many powers…” Davis heaved a breath.
He wondered what kind of trouble he could get into so that he could plunder their loot.
“Let’s just hope that they will be wise enough to understand the consequences of offending us.” He wryly smiled.
Shirley blinked, “I already looted a few who were ‘wise’.”
“Haha.” Davis chuckled, “Who are they?”
“None of the major powers. Just a few powers below them who think they are upcoming rulers and could even go toe to toe against the major powers. By subduing me, they wanted to prove that their dynasties could be replaced.”
Davis raised his hand and touched his head, “Sigh, do they even have a corpse left?”
“They’re crystallized statues right now. You can see them on the northern edge of this area. I purposely moved them there and decorated so others can see and learn from it.” Shirley giggled lightly.
Davis nodded with a light smile.
This was in line with how Shirley dealt with people. She was ruthless when it came to placing a boundary, and anyone who crossed it wouldn’t have a good end.
“So in total-” Shirley thought out loud, “Our exploratory team has collected over a hundred and fifty-six Primarch Grade resources. Another forty from plundering, ignorant, and offensive supreme geniuses, of which ten have been given as a present to Dewzai for accompanying me and helping me deal with their lousy yet deadly tactics. You won’t mind, right?”
“…”
Davis cast his gaze at Dewzai.
Dewzai’s heart dropped. Was there a need to mention that and get her into trouble?
His piercing gaze made her feel like she was going to be suppressed to death. Unknowingly, her breathing became faster, and she adjusted her position to sit more formally.
Davis returned his gaze and said, “Excellent. I don’t mind what your team does with half the resources you collect. The rest would belong to the family. You can decide what you’re giving up for the Treasury.”
“What are you saying? Everything belongs to the Davis Family, to you.” Shirley added and implied with a strong voice.
As she said, she also glanced at Dewzai, intending to see her reaction, but the other party seemed to be quite afraid.
She felt like she had learned a new side of Dewzai. She had never seen her fear this much, but also felt proud since she was scared of the man she loved. A sense of superiority naturally flooded her. She always liked to be in competition with her friends, whether it be in combat or the partner they chose.
Davis couldn’t help but reveal a heartened smile.
However, he turned to look at Flamerose and Frostrose intentionally.
“Is that also how you two feel?”
Flamerose and Frostrose looked silent for a moment before they nodded like they were pecking their heads.
“We owe everything to your family.” Frostrose added, “As for us, we don’t need anything other than resources that make us stronger.”
Flamerose blushed for no apparent reason.
Davis nodded, “That’s great. I’ll see to it that your needs are met with every time. Shirley will also do the same. With this, our current total of Primarch Grade resources amounts to seven hundred and fifty-nine.”
“…”
Everyone went silent.
The pin-drop silence emanating from this place introduced a variety of emotions to this declaration.
Even Isabella, who collected over two hundred and five Primarch Grade resources individually, was flabbergasted. This number was without considering Bylai’s group. She could only imagine how many they had collected. It couldn’t be higher than hers since their prowess was less than hers and Shirley’s, but still, they had Dalila!
And Dalila was capable of seeing through these resources and harvesting them easily, like flipping her hand.
She felt she would at least collect as much as Shirley.
Dewzai was simply shocked, her pupils shrinking. She felt dizzy in her head, imagining that amount of resources.
Wasn’t this too crazy? She barely had any knowledge of what kind of resources the rulers of Upper Realms possessed, but considering how crazy these supreme geniuses were when it came to these resources, she could tell that they didn’t possess many.
At least, she felt each ruler might’ve stored around thirty Primarch Grade resources in their Treasuries max to circumvent dry years and mildly desolate eras like any power would do. Moreover, there might barely be any High-Level Primarch Grade resource at all.
Myria and the others were also surprised. They kept collecting without thinking about it and ended up with this grand number.
Davis laid out the details to declare their achievements.
Before the first exploratory team split off, they had already collected over three hundred and twelve Primarch Grade resources. After they split off, Isabella collected over two hundred and five. Shirley collected over one hundred and fifty six and then she plundered over fifty and gave ten to Dewzai.
On the other hand, Davis and the others collected over a hundred and fifteen Primarch Grade resources while traveling the Shard Regions, space-attributed High-Level Shard Region, Wrathful Aeons Shard Region, and the Shard Continent. It also included the numbers from plundering the Mistwalker Family and Stormsong Family, making up for more than seventy percent of their loot.
Hence, the number of Primarch Grade resources they had collected in total reached an extreme number of eight hundred and nine.
Everyone was in shock, even Davis himself, as he put the matter into perspective.
However, this also confused Shirley’s group as he said they had seven hundred and fifty nine Primarch Grade resources.
Where did the remaining fifty Primarch Grade resources go!?
Davis didn’t say anything about giving away fifty resources to trade to the True Peak Emporium since Dewzai was there. He didn’t know her personally, so he didn’t give anything away to implicate Jiayi Crystalveil. He was still looking forward to how Jiayi Crystalveil would deal with the resources he gave.
He decided to tell Shirley later.
Nevertheless, everyone was more or less shaken.
With Bylai group’s collection, they knew the amount of Primarch Grade resources they collected would more or less reach a thousand.
This exactly meant that their path to Exalt Stage would be easier and smooth all the way up to the peak. This meant that they could defend themselves in the Upper Realms even against the rulers as long as they were given a year or two to grow.
They shuddered, feeling a lot of hope but also a sense of trepidation since they felt like this amount of resources was enough for even the Celestial Transcendent-level characters to turn greedy.
Once this information leaked, would they survive the onslaught?
Abruptly, everyone couldn’t help but turn to look at Dewzai.
She inwardly cried. If they were so worried, why didn’t they just send her out?
“I’ll keep my mouth shut. I’ll make an oath.” She quickly answered.
“It’s fine. Dewzai isn’t the type of woman who will betray.” Shirley put in a word for her.
Davis chuckled, “No worries. Likely, everyone knows that we possess more than three hundred Primarch Grade resources at the very least. That alone is enough to garner the interests of the most vile and greedy entities out there.”
Isabella and the others nodded.
She added, “Yes, even while we were harvesting, I sensed many eyes were on us. Some did try to steal, only to end up dead. We even plundered the Mistwalker Family and Stormsong Family. They will definitely come to take revenge, especially the latter who targets Divergents for glory.”
