Sonya then disappeared from the room and Michael just stood there with a dumbfounded look on his face.
"She really left huh?" Michael scratched the back of his head while looking at the two kids peacefully sleeping on the hard floor.
"A dragon, huh?" Michael rubbed his temples with his eyes closed.
"Oh f*ck..."
Michael’s eyes quickly snapped open as an absurd thought suddenly occurred inside his head.
"Don’t tell me...she’s that rumored Frost Dragon who destroyed the once preposterous Empreal Kingdom?"
Michael couldn’t believe it, because if what he had thought was true, then it would be one of the most absurd things that had happened to him while playing this game.
"And now, I have to take care of these two kids," said Michael as he gave a brief glance towards the two siblings.
"Goddamit, I’m not good with kids" Michael felt a headache just thinking how he needs to take good care of these two siblings, and oh boy, he should really "take good care" of the two kids.
After all, Sonya, their mother is a freaking dragon, and not only that, there’s even a chance that she’s that infamous Frost Dragon!
Rustle! Rustle! Rustle!
"Hmm?" Michael noticed a paper fluttering along with the wind, with a lamp pressing down on it.
Michael walked over to the table and picked up the paper, where he noticed some lines of words written on the parchment.
And the words written in the parchment reads,
"If you want to change the weather in Everwinter to return to normal, then you can only do it if you’re able to awaken the dormant volcano called Mount Rasborg, and its located in the heart of the Wildlands"
"And don’t believe what the book said that it was me who cursed the land. It’s all bull and all, and if you’ll be able to do it and reach that place, then you’ll also be able to hatch that egg on you as it needs a really high temperature for it to hatch, or you could have asked Millie to do it for you, you’re really dumb"
"Shit" Michael cursed after reading the last sentence.
"So she really is the Frost Dragon, how come I never noticed anything weird about her?" Just thinking that he had always been in close contact with the infamous Frost Dragon made him shiver from head to toe.
"And she mentioned about the egg"
Michael then took out a scorching looking red egg from his storage space onto his hands.
[The Egg of a Fire Salamander]
An orphaned egg from a deceased Fire Salamander, a lesser dragon known for its ferocious nature. They are one of the few lesser dragons that can fly, whose ancestry is very close to the Ancient Fire Dragons.
Incubation: 99%
Michael finally realized from Sonya’s words the reason he’s not been able to hatch the egg that Millie had given to him before.
’So that was the reason why I have never made any progress on hatching this damn egg! That damn Millie knew about it, and still gave it to me without even telling me these things!’
Michael felt some dark clouds looming over him, thinking about that annoying look that Millie wore after she gave him the egg that’s currently on his hands.
Present.
"Hey, Michael!"
"Hello!"
Solitary Tempest is waving her hand in front of Michael’s face when she noticed that he was looking dazed after she asked him about Sonya.
"Oh, what?"
Michael was startled out of his daze as he looked at Solitary Tempest with an embarrassed smile on his face.
"Are you okay? You were kind of dazed back there" Solitary Tempest said.
"Yeah, I’m fine. I just remembered something" Michael said, but because he didn’t want for her to ask more questions so he quickly continued, "Right, you were asking about why Sonya suddenly seems to have disappeared right?"
"Yeah, I wanted to ask her if she had something that she needed some help with," said Solitary Tempest, as she had seemed to had already forgotten what happened earlier.
Michael scratched the back of his head and said, "Well, she already left the village a couple of nights ago, that’s the reason why you haven’t seen her lately around here"
"What!? Why?" Solitary Tempest yelled, but she quickly toned her voice down when she noticed that some people are looking towards their direction, and she just smiled at them in return.
Michael just shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don’t know, she just told me that she’s leaving and that I should take care of her two kids"
Snap!
Solitary Tempest suddenly snapped her fingers and whispered to him in a low voice, "I knew it. Those two kids, Mara and Ant are her children, right?"
Micheal was surprised by her that he couldn’t but help but stare at her and said, "Huh? How did you know that?"
Solitary Tempest rolled her eyes and replied, "Wasn’t it obvious? She always looks at the two of them with warm and loving eyes"
"She did?" Michael tilted his head to the side, confused.
"Of course, she did. It was so obvious" Solitary Tempest wanted to crack his skull and see what was inside his head that he didn’t even notice such an obvious detail from Sonya.
"Anyway, what are your plans now?" said Solitary Tempest.
Michael was relieved that she quickly change the topic of their conversation.
"I’m planning on making a trip to the Wildlands"
"Ohh? You’re not gonna participate in the war between Black Skull and War Dragons Guild?" Solitary Tempest was a little bit surprised because she expected him to join the war in the neighboring Pan Kingdom.
After all, Black Genesis, Ripley, and Viper would participate in the war as they were hired by War Dragons Guild to help them, while Dylan and some of their members currently residing in Snow Village would start their journey back to the mainland early tomorrow morning as they are also participating in the war.
