Chapter 1384 - Multiple Choice Question

Chapter 1384: Multiple Choice Question

“What!!”

News travelled much faster in games as compared to in real life. Thus, the news of the Black Dragon’s Fang squad getting wiped out had already arrived at the headquarters of the Black Dragon Guild.

Upon hearing that the Black Dragon’s Fang had failed their mission, Black Dragon King was stunned. Following which he questioned Dragon Tooth in rage, “Is our elite squad pathetic to the point whereby they can’t even defeat some scattered troops of those Chinese players?”

Black Dragon’s Fang was a squad that Black Dragon King had spent countless gold on in order to create it. In terms of both equipment grade and player capability, they could be considered the best of the best. Even when placed amongst the China and European players, where experts were as numerous as the clouds, they would not be inferior in any way.

With the elites from Sanguine Alliance currently trapped outside of the city walls, there were only a few core players from the Sanguine Alliance within the city, with most of the remaining players being new ones. After learning that his elite troops were eliminated by a group of newbies, even if he knew that his opponent was one of the top guilds in China, his heart was still extremely infuriated.

After all, as much as the Japanese players didn’t like online games, the standard of their techniques wasn’t lacking in the least. As long as they did not engage in large-scale battles, the outcome of the battle would ultimately depend on the standard of the individual troops as well as their equipment. Precisely because of this reason, Black Dragon King had spent so much effort in order to let Black Dragon’s Fang corner Sanguine Warflag, in order to prevent any unforeseen circumstances from happening.

However, even with such a disparity, the Black Dragon’s Fang had been completely eliminated. How could Black Dragon King not be infuriated by this?

Black Dragon King was a rather gloomy person. Even when Lava Teeth had lost Saga City, he did not reveal any expression in response to the news. Thus, his current outburst of rage had left Dragon Tooth, who was standing by his side, scared sh*tless.

Dragon Tooth hurriedly explained, “Our elite squad was originally about to completely eliminate the Sanguine Alliance players. Who would have known that a group of top-tier experts would suddenly appear out of nowhere to aid them? Being pincered from both the front and the back, our elite squad was inevitably eliminated.”

Of course, the “group of top-tier experts” only referred to two people. However, Black Eye and the other players from Black Dragon’s Fang naturally weren’t fools either. Thus, they chose to omit this information in their report, resulting in Dragon Tooth believing that it was the entire group of top-tier experts working together with the Sanguine Alliance that had led to the demise of Black Dragon’s Fang.

Those that played video games naturally knew that under the suppression of absolute strength, coupled with the element of surprise, much less the fact that there was an AOE cannon Magician in the lineup, it wasn’t too difficult for a squad of top-tier experts to finish off a hundred-man squad.

“Experts?”

Upon hearing this, Black Dragon King frowned. The rage in his heart had more or less dissipated and he had regained his calm, he said, “The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. It seems like I have underestimated the Sanguine Alliance.”

Needless to say, the larger one’s tolerance was, the greater the business one could do. Otherwise, how was it possible for Black Dragon King to be the ruler of over half of Immortal Island? At the end of the day, he was still a professional businessman. The moment something went wrong, the first thing he did was to reflect on his past mistakes.

After hearing what Dragon Tooth said, Black Dragon King immediately started revising his battle plans.

After pondering over it for a moment, Black Dragon King immediately gave out the order, “Commence the next phase of the plan, change the direction of the attack! Begin the attack on the city!”

Currently, the Sanguine Alliance players were all gathered within the City Lord Mansion, resulting in the lack of defense at the Saga City’s city walls. Without the activation of the city defense machinery, the target of the Black Dragon Guild’s players was the defenseless city walls. Thus, this was naturally the best time to counter-attack.

However, upon hearing this, Dragon Tooth panicked and said, “Our people are currently clashing with the elites from Sanguine Alliance. If we were to change the direction of our attack, wouldn’t we be leaving our backs wide open to the enemy?”

“We will!” Black Dragon King nodded and said. Following which, he gave a second order, “Dragon Blade! Lead your men to the front and press forward!”

“Got it!”

Somewhere in Yamatai Valley, a Magician dressed in blue cloth replied. Following which, he led a group of over tens of thousands of Black Dragon Guild players, that had earlier on been stationed in Yamatai Valley, towards the Sanguine Alliance players.

At this moment, back in Saga City, Sanguine Warflag let out a sigh of relief after having been rescued. He emotionally dashed over to Fearless and grabbed onto his hand as he expressed his gratitude, “Boss Fearless, you are truly my brother, my dear brother…”

If there wasn’t anyone else around, Sanguine Warflag would perhaps be on his knees in front of Fearless.

It was too shameless!

Fearless struggled to break free from Sanguine Warflag’s hands, before looking over at Spring Halo’s side. Following which, he glanced back at Sanguine Warflag and said, “Enough nonsense! You guys are still in danger! Hurry up and get your men to defend the city! Now that the Black Dragon Guild had failed in their ambush, they would definitely launch an assault on the city!”

“That can’t be…” Sanguine Warflag replied, while wiping sweat off his forehead. He then added, “Even though their men may have arrived at the city walls, our elites are currently clashing against them outside of the city walls. With just their strength, if they were to really leave their backs exposed to my brothers from Sanguine Alliance, I guarantee that they would not be able to return alive.”

Sanguine Warflag seemed to have forgotten how miserable he was when he was pursued previously, and even had the mood to brag at this point in time.

Fearless expressionlessly said, “Stop acting mighty. Just because you have people at the back, others wouldn’t too? You better make use of the time before their reinforcements arrive to lay waste your defences!”

Sanguine Warflag naturally knew how fearsome Fearless’ abilities were, thus he naturally did not go against his intentions. With a wave of his hand, he let Sanguine Stormbringer lead the remaining players to defend the city walls.

However, after Sanguine Stormbringer and the rest had left, Sanguine Warflag said in disbelief, “The number of Black Dragon Guild players below are almost the same as our Sanguine Alliance players, where would they be able to find reinforcements?”

“Nonsense!” Fearless replied in disdain, “You think the Black Dragon Guild is the same as your Sanguine Alliance? The only thing they have is manpower! A rough estimate is that their reinforcement troops are three times the total number of your Sanguine Alliance players!”

“What? Three times?”

Upon hearing what Fearless said, Sanguine Warflag’s heart instantly turned cold.

That’s right, in comparison to Sanguine Alliance, the only advantage that the Black Dragon Guild had was that they had more players.

Just within the two cities, Yamatai City and Saga City, the Black Dragon Guild had over a hundred thousand players residing there. Excluding the ten thousand players that Lava Teeth brought to block off the city, there were about a hundred thousand players lying in wait in Yamatai Valley.

The moment these people pushed into Saga City, Sanguine Alliance would then be the ones to suffer a pincer attack.

As elite as the players from Sanguine Alliance were, in the face of an army three times their size, there simply wasn’t a chance at victory.

If they did not want to expose their backs to the large army led by Dragon Blade, they could only leave their backs open to the troops led by Lava Teeth…

Currently, Lava Teeth had received the order to attack the city… Thus, they had to make a decision as to whether they themselves would die or they would let the city die.

I’m sure everyone would also have a headache in the face of such a multiple-choice question, much less someone like Sanguine Warflag.

However, given how clever everyone is, you should have already guessed that such a problem wasn’t much of a headache to Fearless!

In Fearless’ eyes, his own life wasn’t worth anything, much less those dogs from Sanguine Alliance.

“Are you afraid now?” Seeing Sanguine Warflag no longer spouting nonsense at him, Fearless coldly smiled and said…

“What do we do now?” Sanguine Warflag asked helplessly, “Wouldn’t our elites be finished like this?”

In the face of such a multiple-choice question, their boss, Sanguine Warflag, did not even have an answer to it, much less the players from Sanguine Alliance. Furthermore, the Black Dragon Guild wouldn’t give them the time to consider the problem.

“Very simple!”

Fearless cheekily smiled as he raised his thumb at Sanguine Warflag and said, “Now that your men are on top of the city walls, the moment they finish their preparations, all of you have to do is to give the order for all of your players outside of the city wall to commit suicide!”
