Another World’s Versatile Crafting Master

Chapter 1121 - Reception Ceremony

Chapter 1121: Reception Ceremony

Forcus really wished to slap Delano to death when he heard Delano say that.

“Let me tell you, President Felic is not someone you should offend. If you make him angry, even your father won’t be able to protect you,” said Forcus as he tried his best to hold back all of his rage.

Forcus’ response shocked Delano. He felt that the Tower of Dusk was just a local power in the Breezy Plains, and the so-called ‘guild president’ was also a very young chap. He really couldn’t think of what Felic could do to him that his father couldn’t shield him from.

However, Delano did not dare to confront Forcus about it. He could only agree with Forcus with his most sincere tone. “Yes, Master Forcus! I understand!”

“I really hope you mean your words,” replied Forcus as he nodded calmly, and left the headquarters of the Fifth Fleet. He did not dare to go overboard with Delano due to the status of Delano’s father.

However, Forcus’ departure did not allay Delano’s anger. He flipped one of the tables in the room furiously. He could not accept how he needed to swallow his pride despite being the son of the kingdom’s high priest. This was certainly not something he had ever encountered in his life.

Not long after Forcus’ departure, Adjutant Hajis, who had heard the intense conversation, entered the room. He walked round the flipped table towards Delano.

“Sir, if what Master Forcus said was true, how should we proceed?” asked Hajis cautiously.

“Hmph, continue with the same plan. I have to regain my pride. If not, how would I be able to raise my head in the future?” Delano said through his clenched teeth.

Forcus felt that he should be able to restrain Delano with his serious stance. Hence, he decided to put his attention away from Delano for the time being. After leaving the naval port of the Fifth Fleet, he reported Lin Li’s arrival to his mentor, Elder Zumar. As Delano’s father was the kingdom’s high priest, he thought that he would just let Delano’s issue slide. Hence, he did not think there was a need to complain about Delano to his mentor.

In the following morning, Forcus made his way to Lin Li’s apartment again. There were two reasons for him to make his way here. One: to fulfill his mentor’s request to be as hospitable to them. Two: to ensure that there were no jokers here to provoke the dangerous man. He witnessed the tactics used by the tower’s president when he visited the Breezy Plains with his mentor the other time. He was the man who threatened to destroy one of his battleships when negotiation did not go his way. If there were anyone who offended the president, he knew that a catastrophe would rain on the Gilded Kingdom.

Forcus’ worries were not exaggerated. Although there were Sanctuary powerhouses in the Gilded Kingdom and the Illuminati, a battle between Sanctuary powerhouses would leave a disastrous aftermath.

Hence, Forcus visited Lin Li really early. It did not matter what Lin Li planned to do. He just wanted to accompany him for everything. Yet, when he arrived and sent his request to meet Lin Li, he heard that the man was having a meeting with Johnathan, a prince of the Felan Kingdom.

This piece of news definitely stunned Forcus. He did not expect the young president to be acquainted with someone as high up as the prince of the Felan Kingdom. Of course, it was not unusual for two outstanding individuals to know each other, but it was unusual for the prince to visit the president at such an odd hour. This underscored the importance and respect the prince had for President Felic.

Although Forcus knew that Lin Li had a very high status in the Breezy Plains, and had even surpassed the status of the Ashen Warlock, he knew the status Prince Jonathan had in the Felan Kingdom as well. If the prince were to make this visit, he wouldn’t be just showing an attitude of the Legendary powerhouse. His attitude represented the entire Felan Kingdom.

Since Lin Li did not have the time to meet him, Forcus could only wait for him elsewhere. He knew that as long as Lin Li did not leave this place, there shouldn’t be any joker who would mess with him here.

However, it didn’t take long for Forcus to be shocked by what he saw. After Prince Jonathan from the Felan Kingdom came Prince Jeremiah from the Ledin Kingdom. And Prince Jeremiah was even more ridiculous. Although Jeremiah did not bow down to the president, his stance was low enough.

After Prince Jeremiah was Donald, the chief mage of the Rotterdam Kingdom. This time, Donald was not accompanied by Prince Kanber. Although the team from the Rotterdam made huge losses from the expedition to the Sky Castle, the fact that he completed the mission helped Prince Kanber to secure his status as the heir to the throne. Hence, it was also natural for him not to travel such a great distance to the Gilded Kingdom to join the celebration.

This was something good for Donald. He finally did not need to worry how to clean up after Prince Kanber. However, Donald’s status was not enough to represent the royal family. Hence, it was Prince Tory of the Rotterdam who accompanied him here.

As compared to Prince Kanber, Prince Tory was obviously calmer. Donald probably reminded to lower his posture and stance whenever he conversed with Lin Li. Hence, it did not seem like Lin Li was speaking to a prince of a kingdom. Although there was no obvious flattery in the royal’s speech, it could be heard that Tory definitely wanted to be in the good books of Lin Li.

Forcus was flabbergasted to witness the similarity among the envoys of the three human kingdoms in their interactions with the young president of the Tower of Dusk. After all, the Tower of Dusk was only one of the many forces in the Breezy Plains. If it could command the respect of the three human kingdoms, it had to be a really significant force. Obviously, the influence of the young President Felic in the continent of Anril was no longer limited to the Breezy Plains.

However, this seemed to be just the beginning. There were more things after that surprised Forcus. Immediately after the three human envoys came Archbishop Englos from the Brilliance Shrine and High Priest Sendros from the Darkness Shrine.

Forcus had to rub his eyes when he saw how friendly the three of them were with one another. He even wondered if all he saw was an illusion. Brilliance Shrine’s and Darkness Shrine’s status was definitely superior to that of the three human kingdoms and the whole of Anril. A single decision from them could drastically change the entire situation in the mainland.

Although Forcus knew that the Tower of Dusk had great authority in the Breezy Plains, and that they could make the region tremble with a little stomping, he felt that the Breezy Plains was not comparable to the whole of Anril. While he was clear that the president of the Tower of Dusk was not somebody to be trifled with, he thought that this was merely due to his status as a Sanctuary powerhouse. However, the scenes he had witnessed made him rethink his assumptions.

This thought made Forcus shiver from the weight on his shoulders. He knew that if he were to make any mistakes in receiving him, he would not only offend President Felic, but also harm the entire Gilded Kingdom.

Of course, apart from being anxious, Forcus was also feeling quite fortunate. Fortunately, he appeared in time to prevent the bastard, Delano, from doing anything more outrageous to the president. Otherwise, Delano would not have been able to save himself even if his father were to step in.

Forcus waited for quite a while, but he still did not see Englos and Sendros coming out. Just when he was hesitating if he should send people in to inform Lin Li about his presence, he saw some people walking into Lin Li’s place. The group was headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Gilded Kingdom, Jefferson. Behind him were two diplomats and a court guard.

“Master Forcus, you are really here. His Majesty wanted to discuss with you how we should welcome the guests,” said the court guard, who immediately approached Forcus when he saw him…

Forcus stood up quickly upon hearing Jefferson’s words. He was intending to inform His Majesty of what he’d witnessed earlier too. Hence, he swapped positions with Jefferson, and reminded him to treat President Felic of the Tower of Dusk with utmost respect. “Alright, I will go with you right away. Master Jefferson, I will leave the responsibility to you first. Do pay more attention to him, and shower him with all the things he needs.”

Although Jefferson was puzzled by the respect the royals and the Illuminati had for the president from the Tower of Dusk, he agreed to Forcus’ request without hesitation.

After all, Jefferson was an extremely experienced and composed minister, and Forcus was very confident of his capabilities. Then, the latter headed to the palace with the court guards hurriedly.

At this time, Lin Li was very engrossed in his conversation with Englos and Sendros. They only had the chance to briefly greet one another when they met each other yesterday. Therefore, they had many things to talk about today. Of course, their priority was to consult Lin Li about various issues they faced in pharmacy.

This was especially so for Sendros. After he’d stepped into the Sanctuary-realm, his vision in all aspects had suddenly been broadened. This helped to improve his pharmacy attainments greatly as well. However, he found that as his knowledge of pharmaceutics grew, he also had more questions about it.

This was just like what a wise man in Lin Li’s previous world had once shared: the more knowledge one had, the more clueless one would become. It was like the act of drawing a circle on the ground. The larger the circle, the more it was exposed to the unknown. In fact, even though Lin Li was definitely the greatest pharmacist in Anril, he did not dare to say that he really knew everything about pharmacy.

But what Englos cared about was the star fragment, Holy Light, that was owned by Lin Li. Of course, he did not know the name of that star fragment. He only heard Archbishop Martin said that it was a magical weapon that could emit the purest Holy Light to boost the abilities of all believers.

Of course, Englos did not request to see the treasure as directly as he hoped to. He only invited Lin Li to visit the Brilliance Shrine and perhaps use that thing to help the devotees improve their abilities. He also asked Lin Li about his plans to reconstruct the Sky Castle, and whether the Brilliance Shrine could help to provide any materials.

The three people chatted for nearly the entire morning. It was only at noon that Lin Li received Forcus’ request to meet. This prompted Englos and Sendros to get up from their seats to bid Lin Li goodbye reluctantly. But, before they left, they vaguely told Lin Li that they would need his help in the future, and would contact him again.

The appearance of the two at this Independence Day celebration was indeed questionable. Lin Li felt that it would have been enough for them to send an emissary like a cardinal and black robe priest, respectively. They had to have other motives that caused them to make this personal visit.

Moreover, in addition to Englos and Sendros from the Brilliance Shrine and Darkness Shrine, Lin Li was also thinking about the three envoys from the Ledin and Rotterdam Kingdom. The envoys from the three major human kingdoms were all people with high status. Lin Li suspected that they were governed by the same motivation that drove Englos and Sendros here.

After all, the Gilded Kingdom had been established since the beginning of the Dark Age. It was a kingdom that had the longest history in Anril, and this meant that it could have age-old secrets from the Dark Age. Yet, Lin Li did not bother to use too much of his energy to think about this issue, for he had better things to do. So what if he were to acquire another Sky Castle?

Lin Li met Forcus and the Foreign Affairs Minister, Jefferson, when he sent Englos and Sendros out of his room. Forcus, however, did not have plans to enter his room for any conversation.

“President Felic, our king has prepared to meet you. He sent me to invite you and the rest from the Breezy Plains over,” said Forcus.
