Chapter 565: Where’s My Farm?
Blinding golden light shone in the Farm, within which Jiang He’s body slowly formed.
His flesh, bones, innards, and every other physical structure was regenerating… and the golden light only faded after three days, when the whole process was completed.
“Phew…”
Jiang He slowly opened his eyes and breathed a long sigh, murmuring with fear after the fact, “How terrible… if I didn’t have the Farm as backup to throw a fragment of my spirit and essence into, my death would’ve been certain!”
Of course, it was thanks to Jiang He mastery of martial arts up to Eternal-tier and gaining the ridiculous resource that was Eternium. Otherwise, his single essences and spirit fragment would have taken dozens of thousands of years to regenerate.
He then extended his senses throughout his body.
“My physique and cultivation are now equal to Heavenly Immortal, but recovering won’t be difficult since my cultivation is here.”
Taking out a handful of immortal pellets with a turn of his hand, he munched on them just like candies.
Those immortal pellets were of different grades but were similar in effect as they restored immortal strength. After several mouthfuls, however, Jiang He was unhappy with the slow effect, and so promptly took out every medicinal pellet in one of this Spatial Rings.
There were mountainous piles of medicinal pellets. Jiang He was not bothered to count all of them and merely released his immortal strength, gusting over the pellets and cultivating from them.
Even after falling to Heavenly Immortal, he promptly bounded up to True Immortal and Golden Immortal before reaching Grand Luo…
But at Grand Luo, his rate of improvement slowed down despite the ocean volume worth of pellets.
“Well…”
Jiang He was quite surprised. “I cultivated from medicinal pellets as if they cost nothing, but my rate of improvement is so slow that it would take me at least a dozen hours to reach full-fledged Grand Luo… even if I cultivated by absorbing the world’s energies without stopping, wouldn’t it take me hundreds of years to ascend from novice Grand Luo to full-fledged Grand Luo?”
That was clearly impossible.
Grand Luo elites sought Dao, and it was normal for them to be stuck there for up to dozens of thousands years.
How was he supposed to improve his cultivation if his Dao did not improve?
‘I wonder if the God Emperor and the Demon Emperor have left…’ Jiang He thought then.
He was in the Farm and sensed that the space dust it had turned into was sent flying over a hundred million miles away by the burst of energy that the God Emperor and the Demon Emperor unleashed to attack him. He did not dare to extend his senses and feel the specific situation outside, afraid that the God Emperor and the Demon Emperor were watching his corpse.
“Still, the Saints of the Three Realms would never sit idly by after the God Emperor and the Demon Emperor ambushed me… anyway, I would have to put them aside for the moment, since I’m the most pressing matter at the moment!”
Jiang He thought to himself while clenching his teeth, ‘When I step out this time, I will show neither Gods nor Demons any mercy!’
It did not even matter if he wouldn’t beat the God Emperor and the Demon Emperor—he would resort to ambushes at worst.
And he would cause trouble in their domains every day, as well as make another bunch of pseudo-Overdeities and use their own races’ corpses to self-destruct on their worlds… and see if they could stay calm!
Meanwhile, Dumbo and Turmbo were busying away to plant all the resources they had plundered from Sura.
Hu Mei and the other maids were flanking Jiang He.
“Go cook.”
Jiang He said, rising to his feet, “I’m sick of eating divine food, which is all we’ve eaten ever since coming to the celestial battlefield… Let’s have something normal today and wrap some dumplings.”
After shooing his maids away, Jiang He cultivated from the immortal pellets to restore his cultivation tier, taking out a golden, sparkling shovel and digging into a spot on the ground he had marked.
Four fragments of the God-Killing Spear were planted there.
It was a shame that nothing was growing, whether because the fragments were too broken or because his Farm was too low in level.
Right now, with all seven fragments gathered, Jiang He dug out the ones he planted for replanting, and waited for thirty minutes.
“Nothing… it seems that nothing had grown before because the Farm’s level is too low, and not because the fragments were too broken.”
Jiang He realized with a start, and turned toward the dozens of graves at a corner of the Farm.
Under the dirt were the corpses of the Gods, Demons, and their vassal races who had chased him last time around… as well as the Demi-Saint corpses or the chaos beings whose cadavers were stored by the Three Realms’ Demi-Saints, and later given to Jiang He.
It was a shame that nothing grew, just like the God-Killing Spear.
“Demi-Saint corpse, immortal materials, and the blood of a Saint.”
Jiang He fiddled around for a while to take out all the required materials for leveling his farm, the most eye-catching being the arm that emitted a Saint’s aura.
The arm belonged to Lord Swelling Sky—Jiang He had swiftly caught it and stored it in Void Storage after he chopped it off.
“Tut, tut…”
Jiang He stared at the arm, its flesh squirming and showing signs of changing forms. Still, the most curious point was that there was a faint consciousness in that arm that was slowly taking shape.
“Truly, even an arm of a Saint is that powerful… if left to its own devices, it would probably become a special powerful existence…”
As he sighed in awe, Jiang He reached out to wipe out the faint consciousness in that arm before quickly digging a hole to bury that arm along with the piles of immortal materials as well as Demi-Saint corpse.
At that very moment, an unusual energy began to swirl, and the mechanical jingle of the System Notification rang in Jiang He’s head.
[Ding!]
[Farm ascension conditions met. Host, would you like to level the Farm?]
[Yes, No]
A dialog box popped up before Jiang He, and he chose ‘yes’ with a thought.
Kaboom!
A dull echo that Jiang He could only hear erupted in his head, and all Jiang He felt was a stabbing pain in his head…
“What the hell!?”
His vision went dark, and he fell squarely on his back.
“Master…”
Dumbo cried as he lunged toward him, and the maids quickly came to him as well.
Still, they soon realized that something was out of place. All of them had gained an instant enlightenment with the special energy that the Farm’s ascension generated, with Dao presence rippling around them as they were forced into that state.
In that very moment, Jiang He was knocked out despite being the owner of the Farm, whereas Dumbo, Trumbo, the Cloudscraper Vines, the maids, and the other crops were all consumed by the Farm’s ascension energy. Each of them was gaining enlightenment, their cultivation levels improving at a visible rate.
At the same time, the many graves in the Farm were shining with godly radiances as well.
The Demi-Saints and chaos beings rapidly turned into curious energies with the Farm ascension energy, blooming as sprouts that grew into stone coffin, with a complete being within.
Meanwhile, the medicinal pellets and mystic treasures that Dumbo and the rest had plundered from Sura and planted were growing instantly and becoming ripe in seconds.
The fragments of the God-Killing Spear, which was planted for most of the month, shone in dazzling divine light as well. There were multiple blood-hued silhouettes of spears as well, seven in total!
There was no telling how much time had passed then—it could well be ten thousand years, or a split second.
Kaboom!
There was a dull crash.
The skies in the Farm abruptly split wide open, the stars upon it exploding while the ground collapsed…
Soon, the entire Farm was a field of chaos.
***
A month later, in a certain part of the cosmos around four hundred light years away from the celestial battlefield—the area was in tatters, as the battle between Saints waged a month ago had reduced every cosmic body within ten light years into space dust.
Amid the stars, dimensional turbulences rampaged as the aftershocks from various godly techniques collided, erupting with monumental force that could leave anyone crippled in terror.
Beyond the chaotic reaches were various cultivators, most of whom were cultivators from the Three Realms and neutral races. They had come to view the carnage of the Saints’ battle, while also hoping that they would be lucky enough to gain enlightenment through the Dao presence left by the Saints.
It was even said that a Golden Immortal had gained instant enlightenment here seven days ago to become a Grand Luo, just as another Grand Luo had managed to cultivate here to become a Demi-Saint.
Meanwhile, in the heart of the dimensional turbulence…
A field of chaos materialized out of nowhere, and it was all darkness within.
Jiang He opened his eyes in that very darkness, confusion showing in his gaze…
“Why was I unconscious?”
“Where am I?”
“What the hell, where is my Farm? Hold on…”
“My cultivation… has improved?!”
