Chapter 1337: You Checked Into a Hotel Room Last Night, Didn’t You?
He Xiyan saw them waving at her.
“He Xiyan…” Wang Yingying said loudly.
She stopped in her tracks and hesitated for a brief moment before she approached them.
She didn’t know those two classmates well and she treated them as normal acquaintances. She would occasionally chat with them and greet them if she ran into them outside of class.
“He Xiyan, did you snag yourself a rich boyfriend?” Wang Yingying said with a smile and her eagerness to find out more was written all over her face.
He Xiyan couldn’t really tell if Wang Yingying was joking so she only smiled awkwardly in response.
“Oh my god, who was that guy who dropped you off earlier?” Liu Zitong, who was also her classmate, asked curiously.
Her classmates loved listening to the latest gossip when they weren’t studying.
He Xiyan smiled speechlessly.
“He’s just a friend,” she said. She chose to use the word ‘friend’ because they had just acknowledged their feelings for each other and she didn’t intend to make her relationship public.
“A friend?” Liu Zitong laughed conspiratorially as though she knew what was going on and gave He Xiyan a pat on the shoulder.
The three girls walked into the classroom together.
Her workload was no longer as heavy as it used to be now that she was in her third year of university. She had a maximum of four classes a day these days and there were some days when she only had one or two classes. Most of her classmates had started looking for part-time jobs since they would have to embark on their internships next summer.
Her classmates had started entering into society to gain more work experience.
She had been working part-time for more than two years but she didn’t neglect her homework because of her part-time job and continued to be an exemplary student. She had never once skipped out on school and she was consistently one of the top performers in her class. She even managed to obtain the national scholarship which was worth 15,000 dollars.
She was forced to sit in the second last row because she entered the classroom late. This was a graphic design class and it was the most practical class in their curriculum, so there were very few students who would choose to skip out on this class.
