Lord: Stripped of My Inheritance from the Start

Chapter 539 - 512: None Shall Escape

Chapter 539: Chapter 512: None Shall Escape

A Crown Prince murdering the King was an act that would inevitably incite civil unrest and controversy, casting doubt on the legitimacy of his claim to the throne.

Originally, if Garrett had managed to downplay the crime of patricide or blame it on an enemy nation’s assassination, he might have inherited the throne with the support of nobles like Ference and Andrea.

But he chose Ronin as his scapegoat, and in the process, his arrogance and hubris offended many ministers and nobles.

Combined with the exposure of the patricide and his history of colluding with the Alien Race, many people now held a deep-seated contempt for the Crown Prince.

Of course, bound by the law and accustomed to the norms of aristocratic society, they didn’t dare to openly rebel.

However, if someone were to take the lead at this moment, they would be willing to offer their support from the shadows.

The nobles and Knights fleeing from Golden Feather Palace, whether they would admit it or not, largely harbored such thoughts.

Oduin Hall had been destroyed, in a way symbolizing the decline of the Royal Family.

Ronin, with Carlos at his side, faced Serdil and several dozen other Transcendents without a trace of panic.

A battle was imminent.

"Ronin, do you know what I hate most about you?"

A disheveled Garrett roared in a low voice. Without waiting for Ronin’s reply, he continued through gritted teeth, "I hate that you always wear that relaxed, indifferent expression, as if you have everything under control!"

"Do I?"

Ronin said scornfully, "I think perhaps your nerves are just too sensitive and fragile. That’s why you feel that anyone more outstanding than you is targeting you."

"Hahaha! Laoshan, go to Moon Shadow Palace and bring Blanche and Elron here!"

He looked at Ronin with a smug grin. "I’d like to see if you can remain so calm and composed after watching your own wife and follower die right before your eyes!"

Serdil frowned slightly. ’Garrett has lost his mind. Does he really think Blanche is still locked up?’

Ronin reminded him in a low voice, "Why don’t you take a guess? While my clone was busy fighting you, was my real body watching from above, or did it go somewhere else?"

Hearing this, Garrett’s eyes went wide. Rage surged through his chest, and he couldn’t stop himself from coughing violently.

He had spent days meticulously planning to lure Blanche and Elron here, only for them to be rescued before his scheme could be put to any use.

"I should have just killed them from the start!"

Ronin took a deep breath, his eyes turning ice-cold. "Utterly incorrigible!"

He erupted forward at his top speed, flashing to Garrett’s side and raising his sword for a strike.

Although Garrett managed to parry with his sword, Ronin’s unrestrained power forced the blade down onto his shoulder, instantly staining his clothes red with blood.

Ronin immediately followed up with a punch that sent Garrett flying.

In truth, he could take Garrett’s life whenever he wished.

"Wind Mages, form the array!"

Serdil gave a sharp cry. Her dozen or so Wind Mages spread their wings and scattered, surrounding Ronin. They were attempting to replicate the Trapping and Killing Array that Aluba and his men had used in Mist City, hoping to trap Ronin within it.

Although these Wind Mages included seven or eight at the Meteor Level and two or three at the Silver Moon Level who had activated their Flame Seals and gained wings, Ronin had learned from his last encounter. How could he possibly fall for the same trick again?

"You’re all too slow!"

Before the array could even form, the Flowing Flame Sword had already slit the throat of a Wind Mage. Ronin then leaped out of the encirclement with incredible speed and charged toward Serdil.

Seeing this, Serdil immediately retreated with the Wind Shadow Skill while unfurling a Magic Scroll. Azure chains erupted from the scroll, surging toward Ronin to bind him.

"Master, be careful! That’s not ordinary Magic! It’s the same move that trapped me yesterday," Carlos warned just in time.

Ronin focused his concentration and raised his sword. "Vacuum Dimension Slash!"

A razor-sharp beam of sword light cut through the air, carrying the power to tear space itself as it collided head-on with the azure chains.

The chains tried to entangle the Vacuum Dimension Slash, but they were annihilated on contact, shattering into motes of light before dissipating.

The Vacuum Dimension Slash, seemingly unimpeded, continued straight for Serdil’s slender waist.

’This is bad!’

The color drained from Serdil’s face.

She had assumed Ronin had only mastered the Legendary Level Clone Shadow Transformation Skill and had no other killing techniques. If that were the case, they might have been able to handle him by working together.

"Vacuum Dimension Slash... A Legendary Level Secret Skill that combines the Wind and Spatial Attributes... How could you have possibly mastered it so quickly!?"

Her knowledge was comparable to that of Sophia, but in the end, she was only a Great Mage. After using the Magic Scroll, she had no time to mount a defense.

SLICE!

The razor-sharp light buried itself in Serdil’s body before brutally slicing her apart.

"Ahhh!"

Serdil let out a horrific scream as her body was severed at the waist, spraying blood across the sky.

"This..."

Ference and the others looked on in utter horror.

They had pinned all their hopes of resisting Ronin on Serdil. Who would have thought that in a single exchange, Ronin would slice her in two?

’Run!’

Staying here any longer was suicide.

Ference and Andrea unleashed their Fighting Qi and fled in opposite directions.

"Trying to escape? It won’t be that easy!"

Ronin sneered. His figure moved like a phantom across the battlefield, instantly closing the distance with Andrea.

"Heavy Strike Burst!"

He threw a punch, unleashing a Proud Sun Level Combat Skill that carried immense Piercing Power as it smashed toward his target.

"Ronin, no!"

Andrea roared, unleashing all of his Fighting Qi to form a thick suit of Armor over his body. Simultaneously, a giant bear materialized and lunged forward, attempting to block Ronin’s attack.

BOOM!

The two Combat Skills collided with a deafening crash. The Heavy Strike Burst punched straight through the giant bear, and trailing a long tail of flame, it pierced Andrea’s Armor and tore through his chest.

"More than thirty years ago, you plotted my uncle’s murder. The Wushan Clan always repays its debts!"

Ronin’s figure flashed, and he was already charging after Ference.

Seeing Andrea’s body slowly collapse into a pool of blood, Ference felt a chill run down his spine.

He had thought Ronin wouldn’t dare to go on a killing spree, especially since he’d been so restrained from the very beginning.

But once the fighting truly began, Ronin had killed Andrea in an instant.

He was a Duke, yet Ronin killed him without even blinking.

"No, I can’t die! I don’t want to die!"

Ference’s back began to tremble violently. A moment later, a pair of wings tore through his clothes and unfurled, and he transformed into a great bird, shooting up into the sky.

"So you’ve fallen to their side as well!"

Ronin had intended to kill him outright, but he changed his mind upon seeing the wings.

He shot after Ference like a meteor, then slammed a palm into his back, swatting him out of the sky and down into the ruins below.

Kill!

The Wind Mages, seemingly fearless of death, all threw themselves at Ronin.

Without any hesitation, Ronin relied on his absolute speed and his Fast Sword technique, cutting them down one by one.

Amid the slaughter, however, Ronin noticed that Serdil, despite being sliced in two, was not dead.

The Heart of the Storm necklace in her hand had saved her life. It was an item similar to Mephisto’s Witch Soul Pearl—both were Great Sage Level creations that possessed extraordinary abilities.

Now, Serdil was using the Heart of the Storm to compel these people to fight as Death Warriors, using their lives to buy her time.

"Ronin, I underestimated you."

Serdil’s pale face was filled with rage. Though she wasn’t dead, the lower half of her body was gone, and recovery would take a very long time.

"But next time will be different!"

A flash of light flared, and Serdil’s figure vanished on the spot.

Ronin frowned. "Space Teleportation Magic?"

He unleashed a beam of sword light, killing the last of the enemies before him. Then, his Spiritual Power shot out in all directions like lightning, instantly covering a radius of a hundred li.

He snapped his eyes open, having sensed a distinct spatial fluctuation over eighty li to the southwest.

"Carlos, I’m leaving the rest to you."

Ronin shot into the sky. "Especially Garrett and Ference! Don’t let them get away!"

Although Carlos was injured, Garrett and Ference were hurt even more severely. Carlos was more than capable of handling them.

"Don’t worry, Master!"

「Over Eighty Li Away」

An extremely weak Serdil materialized, having been teleported to this spot.

’This Ronin is too strong,’ she thought. ’Even Flame Wings at his peak would struggle to be his opponent!’

She looked back in the direction of the Golden Feather Palace, a lingering fear in her heart.

’How did he get so strong so quickly!?’

’Without Ronin, the entire kingdom of Orland would have been theirs for the taking. Now, everything has changed.’

’Even though I’ve lost half my body, it can slowly regenerate under the healing power of the Heart of the Storm. The most important thing right now is to recover my Magic, conceal my presence, and get back to the others.’

But just as she closed her eyes to meditate, she sensed a dangerous presence envelop her.

Serdil snapped her head up, her beautiful eyes widening in disbelief.

Ronin had appeared in the air before her. "Surprised? Didn’t see that coming, did you?"
