Clan Prosperity Starting With My Servant Girls

Chapter 519: Lao Er

Chapter 519: Lao Er

"Trying to get into the business of Spirit Stones and cultivation resources can be deadly.

"Even the Chu Clan has to deliberate for months or sometimes years before we make a move." Chu Xu said and glanced around at the lavish guest hall.

She went on and gave out a sigh, "Sometimes, I wish I could be carefree like He Song, roaming around the land without any worries."

Lin Xuan Qi nearly spat out the tea in his mouth when he heard her.

Whatever it was that Lee He Song did years ago, it must have left a deep impression on her.

He had never expected Lee He Song to be someone so charismatic.

Finally, when he composed himself, he gave her a nod and replied, "I understand.

"I was just trying to figure out what it was and how it might affect my business that I have set up here in Gui Feng City."

She was pleased with his reply and said, "Spirit Valley is not too far from Gui Feng City, situated twenty kilometers to the north among the Gui Mountains.

"It was a Spirit Stone mine years ago but it had dried up and a secret realm appeared recently, taking its place.

"Different sects had battled over it with Qing Feng Sect coming out as the victor in the end.

"The secret realm would be opening within the next few days, and if you are thinking of going there to have a look, I would advise you to stay clear of it.

"Even the Chu Clan will be staying out of it.

"It might get messy and deadly when the cultivators from the sects and rogue cultivators turn on each other."

"What’s inside the secret realm and how does it work?" Lin Xuan Qi asked, trying to learn more about it.

Chu Xu was surprised at how inquisitive he was.

"The secret realms in the Da Qian Dynasty are usually left behind by cultivators at the end of their life, leaving the treasures they’ve gathered throughout their lifetime inside.

"Time, space, and even reality will be different inside it.

"Many will lose their lives trying to get the treasures inside the secret realm."

She reiterated the dangers of it and Lin Xuan Qi replied, "Thank you so much for your advice, I will take it to heart."

He had the necessary information he needed and he made his decision.

There would be some risk for him but it was the best opportunity for him to execute his plan to create his sect, so he wasn’t going to miss out on it.

"Thanks again for your time and advice. It’s getting late, I shall not intrude on you any further." Lin Xuan Qi stood up, cupped his hands at her and bid her farewell.

"Send my regards to He Song." Chu Xu said with her eyes looking out into the distance.

Lin Xuan Qi nodded and said, "I will send him your regards."

The servant girl of Chu Xu walked him to the gates and he left the Chu Clan residence afterwards.

When Lin Xuan Qi got back to the inn, he started to make plans for his trip to the Spirit Valley.

First, he told Bai Xun that he would be out to explore the vicinity, looking for a place to set up new factories, while Bai Xun took care of the furnishing for the retail stores for him.

Then, he headed out of the city and went to the nearby villages that were located around the Spirit Valley.

When he arrived in one of the villages, he was greeted with a huge crowd that consisted of people from all walks of life.

There were cultivators, businessmen, food hawkers, street vendors and even women that provided services to all these men could be seen.

Villagers weren’t used to the scene and they avoided being out of their homes.

Everywhere in the village these people were chattering and getting excited for the secret realm opening.

"Master Lin, should we be here?" One of the guards asked while the others glanced around warily.

He gave them an assuring smile and said, "Relax, we will be fine. If anything happens, just let them know that I’m a friend of Sima Ye from the Qing Feng Sect."

Since he was a young master he might as well make use of it.

They nodded their heads at him with a frown.

He didn’t have the time to think of an excuse to leave them behind so he thought that he might as well bring them here.

Things would most likely get chaotic when the secret realm opened up and he would then be able to find a way to sneak into it.

They might get worried for some time but it was something that had to be done.

Lin Xuan Qi continued walking along the mud road of the village where there were stalls set up by the side.

"Spirit Stones for sale, it might come in handy inside the secret realm."

"Artifacts forged by renowned Artifact cultivators on sale!"

"Don’t miss out on these manuscripts by legendary cultivators."

Lin Xuan Qi shook his head when he walked by.

They were selling fakes.

The Spirit Stones had no Spirit Qi inside them and the Artifacts were ordinary items.

As for the manuscripts, no one in their right mind would think that those from so-called legendary cultivators would be on sale so cheaply by the side of a mud road.

"Lao Er, don’t!" A young woman’s voice came from behind and he turned around to have a look.

She was young, around the age of Xue Cong, but she was looking thin and malnourished compared to her.

A young man stood in front of her looking at the Spirit Stones on sale.

He glanced at her and said, "Ling Er, this might be our only chance to start on our cultivation journey..."

"Forget about cultivation, our Impure Spirit Roots are nothing to feel sorry about if we don’t cultivate." Ling Er glanced at him with her teary eyes.

Lao Er reached out his hands and tried to wipe the tears off her face but she dodged away.

He sighed and glanced at the Spirit Stones on sale before he glanced back at her.

"Maybe you are right." Lao Er’s hands came down to his sides and he turned his head to the side.

That was when he saw Lin Xuan Qi looking at them.
