Chapter 1819 - The Shattered Halls

Chapter 1819: The Shattered Halls

Actually, the current Warchief of the Horde should be Saar.

When all the Orcs had been freed from the curse of Tainted Blood, which was really a process that was much more difficult than one could imagine, the Warchief Saar had already seen too many orc heroes fall under the control of The Hand of Fate. Now, it looked like Kargath Bladefist would also meet the same gloomy end.

Kargath Bladefist was currently daydreaming in the Shattered Halls in Hellfire Citadel. It was declared that he was the one and only ‘Warchief’ of the Horde. With the help of such fierce and bloodthirsty forces, he wouldn’t rest until the Thrallmar barbarians had been flattened.

The various Fel Horde forces were all commanded by Kargath Bladefist. They were cruel, good at fighting and because they possessed the help of evil magic, they were in no lack of power. One of the elite groups was the Shattered Hand Legion. Their legionnaires, warriors and centurions received deep respect and admiration from other soldiers. They were the middle or lower officers for other teams.

The Warchief Saar had already given his orders. He would not spare anything to completely destroy Kargath and his troops.

Lu Li was certain that the Shattered Halls wouldn’t be captured so soon. Aside from the difficulty of doing this, the Shattered Halls also required a key.

That was a really troublesome quest. It took at least half an hour to finish that quest, but Ruling Sword didn’t have to do that, because Lu Li had already sent out Cain’s Left Hand a while ago.

More accurately speaking, he had sent out a group of Thieves.

They went all around looking for things like treasure chests so they could practice their Unlock skills. That way, Cain’s Left Hand could have everyone level up fully to the intermediate level of the Unlock skill as fast as possible.

They could only open up the main door of the Shattered Halls if everyone was of an intermediate level.

What was more, there were also many other quests in the Shattered Halls, such as ones given out by Danath Trollbane. If they activated them, they would reduce the difficulty of this Instance Dungeon.

“In the Outland, one of the many tragic things you must encounter is the power of the Fel Orcs under the cage of their shadows. We, the Sons of Lothar’s Ghost, once believed that we had already used our own blood in exchange for the immediate peace of Honor Hold, but in actual fact, true peace had never arrived here.”

“The Sons of Lothar’s Ghost will certainly never surrender to any Orcs, regardless of whether their skin color was green, brown, or red like it is today. We either defeat them or we all die in glory. If we want to attain true victory, then we need to defeat the Hellfire Citadel. As for now, go finish and off that self-proclaimed ‘Warchief’ Kargath Bladefist, and you will get your reward.”

Most people would have activated this quest. Lu Li stopped their advance into the Instance Dungeon so they could do so.

The reason why they didn’t receive the quest before was that the players had to use the first tw Instance Dungeons to confirm their abilities. Before the two Instance Dungeons were completed, Danath Trollbane would give the players a quest, and would even grant more abilities to the players.

These players with additional abilities could deal 5% more damage to red Orcs.

Five percent wasn’t a lot. For every 100 damage they dealt, they would deal an extra 5. However, these seemingly insignificant amounts added up. What was more, with these abilities, the players would have a massive reduction in the amount of damage that they received from red Orcs. This wasn’t explicitly stated, but through careful experimental analysis, the results confirmed this.

As for the Instance Dungeon of the Shattered Halls, Lu Li was envious of the Mages.

Mages were the true sons of the game, this was for sure. When they were at a low level, they could farm the Scarlet Instance Dungeons as a group. If they had good technique, they could farm EXP in Strathholme. By the time they were in the level 70s, they could go back to the Shattered Halls and continue training there to their hearts’ content.

What was even more ridiculous this time was that they could use a bug to farm EXP.

Was there anything more ridiculous than this?

Yes!

What was even more ridiculous was that this was clearly a bug, but the officials pretended not to see it. No matter how people complained, they kept pretending they couldn’t see it.

Lu Li could actually understand what the officials were thinking. Dawn wasn’t a levelling up game. Of course, levelling up was important, but it wasn’t too difficult. For example, to reach level 60, you just had to be willing to spend time and money. At that time, it took less than a month to reach level 60, and in the future, this time would decrease.

The Mages led the farming of the Shattered Halls. One person could take along four patrons.

If one person could farm 20 gold in 1 hour, then every hour, they would earn 80 gold. Even if the worth of gold decreased in the future, the amount they could earn in a single day was still significant.

Of course, if you wanted to earn money, you needed to have skill and equipment.

If your equipment wasn’t good, it was simply not efficient to farm monsters. Those patrons weren’t idiots.

Lu Li thoroughly researched how to use the bug. When everyone had finished the Shattered Halls, he planned to recruit a reliable group of mages, and after a bit of training, have them go right and lead the farming.

By that time, the ranking lists would be dominated by Ruling Sword.

At the moment, Lu Li could only keep to the standard ways of progressing through an Instance Dungeon. Cain’s Left Hand entered the team and opened the door, but didn’t actually go in. There was no place for him in a 10-person First Clear team.

Even March Rain wasn’t part of the First Clear team, let alone him.

However, Lu Li didn’t let her talents go to waste. In the three-way alliance, there were at least ten teams following behind that were continually farming Instance Dungeons. They were mainly farming for EXP and equipment. As soon as they reached level 62, they would leave the group and let someone else enter.

Remnant Dream couldn’t be divided between two teams, but with so many people in the alliance, there was no lack of players with lucky hands.

It was just that they weren’t as lucky as Remnant Dream was.

After entering the Instance Dungeon, Lu Li and Water Fairy first controlled the ranged monsters, while the Main Tank pulled the others. Then, they would focus the soldiers first, before slowly killing the other monsters one by one. They couldn’t use area-of-effect spells here, and it was best to use their kiting abilities sparingly because the soldiers continuously summoned new monsters. As well as this, the spread of AoE firepower would slow the deaths of the soldiers. In the end, the old monsters would die and the new monsters would still remain, but the magic players wouldn’t have much mana left.

The Grand Warlock Netherkurse was once the Shaman priest of the Shadowmoon Clan. He forfeited the esteem of the elements and turned to research involving the evil art of demon magic. All the demon capabilities he controlled made him nothing more than a mere body. He was only happy when he tortured young Fel Orcs, testing the limits of their physical and mental strength.

The difficulty of Netherkurse became apparent in the second half, when he had only 20% HP left.

This Boss was actually rather interesting. Because Lonesome Flower didn’t change positions fast enough, he ended up dying. After that, everyone heard the Boss come out with the line:

“A loser’s dead!”

After he died, he still had to be taunted by the Boss. You could imagine what Flower, who always cared about face, was feeling.

One person dying didn’t mean the team was dead. Azure Sea Breeze was trying desperately to save a dire situation by protecting the healers and output roles, determined to support them to the very end.
