Chapter 1648 - Black Qiraji Battle Tank

Chapter 1648: Black Qiraji Battle Tank

“Before I destroy this so-called ‘Kalimdor’s Last Hope’, do you think you will achieve glory by defeating me? I look forward to it, but unfortunately you will soon be facing my loyal slave and everything will be destroyed.”

“Even my father couldn’t predict that I would decide the fate of this continent. The lands will be destroyed by my hand. You are out of time.”

“Everything will see decay as it is destroyed, and a new world will be born.”

Nefarian didn’t seem to think anything was wrong, and was still smugly casting a spell on the red sceptre.

“No, I am Red Dragon Vaelastrasz, one of the guardians of this world and I will never be your slave! You damned black dragon; you have betrayed the former covenant!”

The fallen Vaelastrasz wasn’t dead.

He had gathered his remaining strength before getting up and rushing at Nefarian.

Nefarian didn’t expect this at all. He was still thinking about his dream, believing that he was about to accomplish something that his father never could.

There were some that thought Neltharion was insane, but this was just one interpretation. He was actually quite clear in his thinking.

He felt that the world was not right. Whether it was a Titan or a Wrym protecting Azeroth, he believed that Azeroth had to ultimately be destroyed. He felt that Azeroth was alive, that it was like a pregnant Titan. It was only by leaving Azeroth on its own that it would find peace.

However, he had failed, and now he could only lurk in the shadows looking for more power.

Nefarian had a similar ideology.

He also felt like he had to do something drastic to achieve his goal. Now that his minions were ready, he could destroy everything and conquer the whole world.

He felt like he had waited long enough, and that his time had come.

The little Red Dragon’s flaming spray enveloped Nefarian and even gushed into his laughing mouth. Suddenly, he had a look of confusion on his face.

However, the pain didn’t allow him to think, as he began to scream in agony.

The little Red Dragon had amazing offensive abilities. He had almost killed Nefarian in his final moments. The fact that he was able to do this was telling. If it weren’t for Nefarian’s trap, none of this would have been possible.

As such, before the eyes of Lu Li and the others, Nefarian’s HP instantly fell.

“Go, but be careful not to hit the Red Dragon!” Lu Li excitedly cried out, urging everyone to get to work.

The quest, which was almost impossible, was to kill the Little Red Dragon and Nefarian. However, it had suddenly become very simple. It was as though a Nightmare Difficulty Instance Dungeon had just become even easier than an Ordinary Difficulty Instance Dungeon.

“Damn slave, what are you doing?”

Nefarian as finally able to react. He was filled with anger, and he couldn’t want to tear into the Little Red Dragon.

As the Black Dragon that was the strongest in combat, Nefarian was definitely not going to go down that easily.

His counterattack was quite strong. It was not that different from the Red Dragon’s attack.

The two dragons sprayed flames at each other. The Main Tanks couldn’t really gain any aggro, and the melee players couldn’t coordinate either.

The team leader decided to just let everyone attack freely whenever they could.

Lu Li jumped between the two behemoths, and just kept stabbing the black dragon. In terms of combat power, the current Little Red Dragon was indeed inferior to Nefarian. Not to mention, there was also their difference in HP. It was a significant enough difference that it would be over for the Little Red Dragon if the players didn’t intervene.

“I am the master here! You mortals are nothing to me,” Nefarian scorned the players that were still fighting.

However, the actual situation was making him nervous. These ants weren’t dead, and their attack power wasn’t completely insignificant. As such, the Black Dragon actually did spray a few plumes of flame at the players to delay slow down their attacks.

However, this meant that the Little Red Dragon was going to be fine.

From the beginning of the battle to the end, it took less than 10 minutes. The Little Red Dragon dealt most of the damage to Nefarian. Most importantly, it also took all the aggro, which meant that Nefarian couldn’t cast his stronger skills at the players. They were also being interrupted by Vaelastrasz.

How good would it be, if Remnant Dream could catch the Little Red Dragon as a pet?

If that was possible, they could fight any Boss they wanted. The Little Red Dragon was an incredible Tank that had significant attack power in addition to a strong defence. Why would they keep Azure Sea Breeze around after that?

Unfortunately, Dawn was a well-balanced game.

If they could capture this Boss as a pet, then they would be able to just sweep through most things in this game. There was no chance of that happening.

Lu Li didn’t stay to participate in the Boss’ distribution of rewards. He just took the red sceptre fragments and left.

“I got it, the last piece of the sceptre!” Lu Li exclaimed as he handed it over to Anachronos and finally completed this difficult quest. Not only was this a cumbersome quest, but it was a cumbersome chain of quests.

This quest just required the player to provide a lot of materials. These materials could be acquired by killing lots of Bosses of various strengths. However, it also meant that an average person wouldn’t be able to complete them.

“A thousand years have passed and as fate has destined, a warrior now stands before me. This warrior will lead his comrades into a new era. The Old Gods are shaking, elf, they are trembling before your belief. You must break C’Thun’s power. It knows that are coming, and that you have Kalimdor’s Strength with you. Let me know when you are ready, and I will give you the sceptre,” Anachronos said.

“Yes, I am ready,” Lu Li answered without hesitation.

This quest couldn’t be delayed for any longer as the major clubs were now on it. The green dragon had been killed several times and they were waiting for the cooldown of the blue dragon to be refreshed. It had also been said that the blue dragon’s spirit wouldn’t disappear anymore to make this quest easier to complete.

Lu Li had invested too much manpower and resources to give it up now.

“Good, I appreciate your courage. Please wait a moment,” Anachronos said as he turned to the Caverns of Time.

After a short while, he took out the completed Sceptre of the Shifting Sands.

“Only you can use this sceptre, and only you can lead your companions into the new era,” Anachronos said, then solemnly handed the sceptre to Lu Li before continuing, “Gather your men and bring them to Silithus. Then, you can sound the gong.

“I will.”

Lu Li took the Sceptre of the Shifting Sands and put it in his backpack.

The System prompted Lu Li to complete the quest. After that, he received a large bounty of rewards which include Reputation and some equipment. Although each of the previous quests had rewards, none were as bountiful as this.

Runesword of the Red, Fang of Korialstrasz, Shadowsong’s Sorrow and Ravencrest’s Legacy – four weapons were awarded all at once. The first two were Magic one-handed weapons. The third was for Thieves and the last was for players that used physical attacks.

The properties of these four Epic weapons were all very good.

For a quest to reward for four Epic weapons likes this was insane, especially since the difficulty felt like it had been reduced from Nightmare to Ordinary. Lu Li felt like if this kept going, he would soon be living like Water Fairy.

However, no matter how rich the rewards, Ruling Sword was still making a net loss from a gold perspective.

With so many materials being used up, these few pieces of Epic equipment needed to be used to recover this loss.

Nevertheless, Lu Li knew that this quest needed to be done, and that he needed to pay for it.

“This is something that remained from the last War of the Shifting Sands. It has been around for a thousand years, and it was hoped that it would witness the glory of a new generation of warriors,” Anachronos said as he brought out something that looked like an egg.

It was coming!

Lu Li’s eyes stared at the egg, but he didn’t want to make it too obvious. Even so, he already knew the importance of this last reward.

A Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal!

“Hatch this. Once that happens, your souls will be connected,” Anachronos said as he looked at Lu Li encouragingly.

If this was sold, it would be worth at least 50 million!!

Over the past year that Lu Li had worked with his advantage of someone being reborn, he had still barely made 50 million altogether.

However, given what the NPC has said, hatching it would mean that it was bound to him.

How would he sell it if it was bound to him!

The Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal, which looked like a crystal egg, was actually a black insect mount. It was essentially a Black Qiraji Battle Tank. It was fast and was said to share its master’s skills.

It was Sorrowless that had received the mount last time.

The skill that he shared with the mount was Blink, which meant that he could use Blink while on the mount.

Someone had once asked Sorrowless for the mount for 50 million dollars. 50 million dollars was the highest anyone had ever offered for anything in game, but Sorrowless was being stubborn at the time.

Lu Li had sullenly worked so hard in these quests for this mount.

There was only one Black Qiraji Battle Tank mount in all of China; how could anyone say it wasn’t worth it?

Even if someone else did the quest now, it would be impossible to get the mount.

It was out of stock!

What did all of this mean?

If he could sell the mount, all of their losses would immediately be recouped and Ruling Sword would usher in a period of rapid development for at least a short period of time.

The Bronze Dragon looked at Lu Li silently, waiting for him to hatch the mount.

If he ran away with it, would he be asking to get killed?

Lu Li was torn. The NPC obviously had asked him to use it for himself, but he wanted to sell it. If he could get away with it, that was great, but what if the NPC just took it back?

The System wasn’t to be underestimated. It definitely wasn’t something that couldn’t be done.

If that happened, he really would have lost everything.
