ROAR!

Upon seeing Su Xuan standing behind it, the large, desiccated corpse suddenly turned its head and let out a roar at him, pointing at a nearby wine jar. It seemed to be suggesting that Su Xuan drink from a different one.

This was indeed somewhat selfish of it. Because Qi Qingshan's cultivation was the highest, the wine he was steeped in was also the most nutritious.

Su Xuan had no choice but to walk over to another wine jar. He removed the seal and looked inside to find Lu Dongshan soaking within. Lu Dongshan had already lost consciousness, with only the top of his head showing above the wine. Su Xuan lifted him slightly to help him breathe more easily.

The large, desiccated corpse had already begun to drink greedily. Its method of drinking was quite peculiar. It raised its hands, pulled Qi Li's body from its neck stump, and then plunged its severed neck directly into the wine jar!

Worried that Qi Qingshan and the others might be in serious trouble, Su Xuan quickly pulled them from the wine jars, then hurriedly checked on Qi Li's condition.

Qi Li lay on the ground with her eyes tightly shut, as quiet as a sleeping beauty. Her long eyelashes trembled slightly, as if she were trying to wake up but was unable to.

"Su Xuan, she has been afflicted with corpse qi," Qi Qingshan, reeking of wine, came over to briefly examine his daughter before speaking. "But don't worry. After we get back, she just needs to take some detoxifying medicine and rest for a few days to recover."

"Alright," Su Xuan nodded.

He didn't need Qi Qingshan to explain. He could already see what was wrong with Qi Li. His eyes could see through her clothes and skin to a mass of black qi wrapped around her heart, expanding and contracting with each beat. If he could deal with this black qi, she could awaken without any medicine.

He was also confident he could absorb the black qi for her. When he had been fighting the large corpse, he had been stained with some of the black corpse qi himself, but his body had absorbed it on its own with no adverse effects.

"Brother Qi, you should go check on the others," Su Xuan suddenly said to Qi Qingshan. "I'll take care of Qi Li."

"Okay," Qi Qingshan gave Su Xuan an approving look and went to care for Lu Dongshan and Dai Xiu. He added, "You don't have to call me brother. Just call me uncle."

Qi Qingshan walked toward the other two with great difficulty. He had suffered terribly in the wine jar. His vital energy had been almost completely sapped by the wine, and it would take him a long time to recover.

"My apologies," Su Xuan murmured.

After Qi Qingshan left, Su Xuan placed his hand directly over Qi Li's heart. A soft, warm sensation met his palm. However, he immediately realized that simply pressing his hand on her chest did not absorb the dark energy. He silently activated his cultivation technique, and the mass of dark energy was instantly drawn out and absorbed by him!

Qi Li still hadn't opened her eyes, but her face was flushed red. In truth, she could sense everything happening around her. She knew what Su Xuan was doing for her, but she just couldn't open her eyes or speak. That Su Xuan had actually placed his hand... there. But it didn't matter. He was saving her.

"Su Xuan..." Qi Li opened her eyes and said softly, "Thank you!"

"Don't mention it." Su Xuan smiled, then turned his gaze to the third floor of the pavilion, where a large black coffin was placed. He had always been curious about who lay inside, to have been capable of constructing such an elaborate tomb.

"Oh, Li'er, you're awake!" Seeing his daughter wake up so quickly, Qi Qingshan hurried over again.

Lu Dongshan and Dai Xiu were not seriously injured and would recover with a bit of rest.

Qi Li gave Su Xuan a deep look and explained that he was the one who had helped her dispel the corpse qi. This surprised Qi Qingshan once more. Su Xuan knows how to do this too? Why didn't he tell me himself earlier?

"Qi... Uncle." Su Xuan shifted his gaze from the third-floor pavilion and awkwardly addressed Qi Qingshan. "What exactly happened to you all? How did you end up being steeped in wine jars?"

Su Xuan pointed to the three-story pavilion. "There!"

With that, he darted over and entered the first floor of the pavilion. Qi Qingshan told Qi Li to rest outside with Lu Dongshan and Dai Xiu, then quickly followed him inside.

The first floor contained many carvings made from Moon Profound Stones. They were mostly of various birds and beasts; some were common, while others looked like creatures that didn't exist in reality.

"These are all treasures!" Qi Qingshan picked up a Moon Profound Stone Pixiu and clicked his tongue in admiration. The Spiritual Energy inside was extremely abundant and could be used for cultivation. However, using such fine items for cultivation felt like a reckless waste.

After looking through the first floor, they both went to the second. The second floor displayed many weapons that, at first glance, shone with a spiritual light and were clearly no ordinary items. Qi Qingshan was greatly tempted at the sight. This was another treasure trove of immeasurable value!

But when he picked up a longsword and flicked it with his finger, there was no hum. Instead, the blade snapped in two!
