"They're all a bunch of cowards!"
Although Xiao Liang said this with the utmost seriousness, his tone was tinged with disdain. As a member of Shenfeng Security personally trained by Chen Yuesheng, he believed he could single-handedly take down three or four bodyguards who relied on firearms.
"Then they're all yours, but be careful."
Su Xuan had seen Shenfeng Security in action more than once and had great confidence in them. After giving Xiao Liang his instructions, he asked, "Who was playing the piano just now? Does anyone else live in this villa?"
"The person playing the piano is Qin Hezheng's daughter, Qin Yueshu," said Xiao Liang, who was very familiar with the situation at the Qin residence. "Perhaps because Qin Hezheng is a crooked man, his daughter is blind. But she is an incredible pianist, renowned throughout all of Huaxia."
"Which room is she in?" Su Xuan asked.
"She lives in the room at the far eastern end of the second floor," Xiao Liang answered.
"Alright, here's what we'll do..."
Su Xuan carefully discussed the details of their plan with Xiao Liang before hanging up.
「Three minutes later.」
Su Xuan walked to his door, a slight smile playing on his lips, and suddenly reached out to open it.
The moment he opened the door, two bodyguards in black suits blocked his path. "Mr. Qin has instructed that you are not to leave this room!" one of them warned, pointing a gun at him and gesturing for him to go back inside.
"Is that so?" Su Xuan said flatly. He suddenly grabbed one of the bodyguard's wrists and, with a sharp tug, sent the man—who weighed a hefty one hundred eighty kilograms—flying through the air and into the room, where he landed in an unconscious heap.
"You have a death wish!" Seeing his partner go down, the other bodyguard quickly aimed his gun at Su Xuan's head, ready to pull the trigger.
He was horrified. How could this man send his partner flying with a simple tug?
"You go in too," Su Xuan said, shifting his body slightly. He grabbed the second bodyguard's wrist and, with another quick pull, threw him into the room as well.
At the same time, a flurry of chaotic footsteps and shouts erupted from the villa's main hall.
Su Xuan didn't need to hear to know that Xiao Liang's team had made their move. He heard no gunshots, which probably meant the bodyguards hadn't yet realized that Xiao Liang's men had turned on them.
Su Xuan picked up one of the abandoned guns and headed straight for the room at the far eastern end of the second floor.
The door was unlocked, so Su Xuan stood in the doorway and looked inside.
Afternoon sunlight streamed through the window, bathing the room in a soft glow. A beautiful woman in a white dress sat at the piano, her eyes closed as she played. The light illuminated her face, making her skin appear as flawless as fine white jade.
Su Xuan walked over slowly and sat down in a chair beside the piano.
The music stopped abruptly.
"Usually, my father sits here to listen to me play," the woman said, lifting her head to face Su Xuan. Her voice was pleasant and melodious. "But you are not my father."
"Hm," Su Xuan nodded. He had walked over, not arrived in a wheelchair, so she would naturally know he wasn't her father by the sound of his footsteps.
But she continued, "You have a very unique scent, like a flower. My father, on the other hand, always smells faintly of cigars, even when he changes his clothes to come listen to me." She tilted her head and asked, "Why are you here?"
Su Xuan glanced at the gun in his hand and answered honestly. "I'm here to take you hostage. Your father is trying to cause trouble for me and my friends. He also said he's dying and doesn't mind taking us down with him. So, if I hold you hostage... will he back off?"
"Hmm... I suppose he would," she murmured, her lips parting slightly. "But could you wait until I finish my piece?"
"Take your time," Su Xuan replied with a smile. "I'm not in a rush."
The woman continued to play the piano, her melody as serene and composed as before.
The commotion downstairs gradually subsided. Su Xuan still wasn't worried about Xiao Liang and his men. The reason he'd waited three minutes was to give them time to raid the villa's armory. Armed with guns, they would be even more formidable. Yet, from start to finish, not a single shot was fired, which meant the fight downstairs had been remarkably restrained.
When the piano music stopped again, Xiao Liang walked in with five or six of his men, all uninjured. "Boss, it's done."
"But we couldn't find Qin Hezheng," Xiao Liang added immediately. "His room is empty, and his secretary is gone, too."
"Call your father," Su Xuan said to Qin Yueshu. "Tell him to come here and talk to me."
"Mm," Qin Yueshu nodded obediently. She picked up the phone resting by the piano and used a voice command to dial a number.
"No need!" a voice suddenly boomed from the doorway.
Su Xuan looked up, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Old Man Qin stood at the entrance clad in silver armor, looking like a battle-hardened veteran. Secretary Bai stood right behind him.
That must be his second suit of armor,` Su Xuan thought. `The first one must be out of juice.
"Boss Su, you've gone too far!" Old Man Qin said coldly upon seeing him. "I treated you with courtesy, yet you wreak havoc in my home?"
"Old Qin, to the victor go the spoils," Su Xuan said, pointing his gun at Qin Yueshu. "You know what you have to do."
As he said it, a look of embarrassment crossed Su Xuan's face. I must sound like a real villain right now.
"Hmph!" Old Man Qin snorted and glanced at Secretary Bai behind him.
"Withdraw the men from the bookstore!" Secretary Bai immediately took out his phone to make the call.
Old Man Qin then looked back at Su Xuan. "I've done as you wished. Now it's your turn to—"
"'Your turn?' What 'your turn'!" Xiao Liang cut in sharply. "You're in no position to negotiate with my boss. Don't you understand the situation?"
"Let him speak," Su Xuan said, raising a hand to silence Xiao Liang.
"Boss Su, don't make this difficult for my daughter. She knows nothing of my affairs," Old Man Qin said, his gaze fixed on the gun in Su Xuan's hand. "If you want to vent your anger, we can settle this like men."
"You should have just said that from the beginning." Su Xuan casually tossed the gun aside and eyed the silver armor. "Could it be that this armor not only lets you move freely but also helps you fight?"
"It does!" Old Man Qin roared, suddenly charging at Su Xuan.
Xiao Liang moved to intercept him, but Old Man Qin sent him flying with a single punch. Xiao Liang tumbled two or three meters across the floor before stopping. The other men rushed forward, only to be knocked aside and sent sprawling by the armored old man.
Seeing this, Su Xuan was stunned. This armor is far more powerful than what he showed me before!
In the blink of an eye, Old Man Qin closed the distance. He looked like a man in his prime, powerful and strong. With a crack of his armored knuckles, he threw a punch straight at Su Xuan...
