"Millions of people who soared into the sky along with the king perished, they all turned into masses of flesh as soon as they entered the sky."
"But the Daoye Palace did not stop in their tracks, even seeing this, they just left never to come again."
"On that day everyone realized."
"The people of our planet had no future in the starry sky. The curse was that we will never be able to leave the Blue Star."
"But unable to accept this outcome, everyone that was left behind began to search for answers, and eventually the one who found the answer was the Seer, a fourth rank being that could see into the fate of the world."
"They declared: Combine the seal together and one day a fated one will arrive who will unify the Blue Star and make this planet soar to the sky. Until that day, the planet will never be able to be perceived by normal eyes, and no one will be able to descend down into this planet through normal means or even save us."
"According to her, the seal awakening is the only reason why only the Daoye Palace was able to find this world after all this while. She did not know how they did it, but there is a possibility that they will descend to this world once more."
"But by that time, the Daoye Palace who was the one who caused all these problems was not the main concern anymore. Because a new force had invaded the planet."
The person's expression was deadly dark when he reminisced about the "new force".
"The Abyss." He said. "The Abyss is a ruling force that descended into this world, and with their power they completely annihilated the world, reducing it to ruins and destroying billions of lives in the process. Only this one continent was left without being under the control of the Abyss."
The instant he finished saying that, his figure began to glitch.
"Today is the fateful battle day. I am leaving behind everything here." The figure said. "Today if everything goes well, the ▇ Continent will ▇ and cosmic energy will ▇ ▇. This is the only way to keep the Abyss from taking this world over. With the lack of energy, the corruption fields will die out and the Abyss will be gone forever."
"Oh." Grey had a look of understanding on his face.
"That is what I hope." The figure said while his figure glitched more. "But... if someone sees this, that means our plan has failed, the Abyss has once again descended into the world and cosmic energy has been revived."
"I really hope nobody will see this." The figure said bitterly. "But, if you do, then please." He stared ahead, looking past Grey instead of at him.
"Please save Blue Star. Being able to reach this place shows your powers. You might just be the fated one mentioned by the Seer. I have left some items for you in the inheritance ground, please use it to your maximum capabilities and the middle platform should directly take you to the seal. If you can take it, then that means you are indeed the fated one. For our planet. It is the wish of a dying man."
The way he spoke made it clear that he was going to die there that day.
"Today, I shall ascend beyond ▇ rank and put a stop to everything."
"May the Abyss never win."
"My name is Branden Everhart. I hope you will remember it, because I am the one who saved this world."
Branden hoped that at least someone will remember his noble sacrifice. Unfortunately, no one knew about his heroic and sacrificial deed.
The light flickered out, the darkness vanished. Grey was left there with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Looks like I did not need to find out the truth about this planet from Eterna anymore." Grey was full of smiles instead of being upset.
"I was right, beyond the walls, there exists a world beyond the Starcrest Continent." Grey grinned. "That is all I need to know."
The world was incredibly vast. He was eager to know what exists beyond these walls.
Perhaps, after all these years, life would have flourished beyond the walls?
Or it could be littered in corruption fields.
"The Age before the evolutionary era mentioned in the official records, it should be the age brought by this man and before that, evolvers existed in this world." Grey mused. "But somehow, cosmic energy revived in this planet once again and the Abyss came back."
Even though the words were glitched, he was able to make some of it out, the person had sealed both the continent and the cosmic energy to save the planet from the Abyss.
Grey believed the prime suspect of this was most likely the High Order.
Then, a curious expression appeared on Grey's face. "What exactly is the seal?"
The person only mentioned that it was a seal to something very powerful.
"Something powerful and related to the starry sky, the Immortal Lady should know a thing or two about it." Grey wondered.
"Still to think this guy would be called Everhart."
Grey knew someone with that surname and they coincidentally also happened to come from the floating city.
Valeria Everhart.
He had his doubts of her being someone important, perhaps even the daughter of the federation master, and from how important this man seemed, he might have some connection to the current federation master, and Valeria might just be the current federation master's daughter.
But, in the end he could not say for certain, people only referred to him as the federation master no one names his actual name, except people from the floating city.
But he believed Valeria should know a thing or two about this.
"Or maybe not?" Grey saw all possibilities.
He doubted Valeria would stay still inside this small Ashspire city after knowing the truth about this world, it was not like her. This made him believe she did not know anything about it, but of course he would explicitly ask her about it after he got out of the realm.
There was also the possibility she descended into this city in the first place knowing the truth of this realm, after all, it belonged to Braden, who is most likely her ancestor.
"That aside, Looks like I also need to seek this Seer's family out."
There was a reason.
First, he wanted to know how they foresaw the so-called fated one and he definitely knew that the person was referring to Evan. Second, he wanted their abilities.
To be able to identify the fated one, they definitely had powerful means which Grey could use for himself in the future.
"But that guy, Evan, how would he have ended up in this place?" Grey was confused, it did not make sense.
No matter how he looked at it, it did not seem like Evan was even remotely coming close to reaching this place, because during this time, the championship was going on.
Perhaps, it was not the time for him to reach this place yet.
However, Grey thought of another possibility, fate is unpredictable and things you never think of can happen any time.
As long as fate willed it, even dying from a mosquito bite is possible.
"Could the Three Guards Province be also under attack?" That was the possibility Grey managed to deduce.
If it was really under attack, then there was definitely a possibility that Evan would wind up inside this secret realm during the process of escape, fate worked like that.
Maybe, if he had not come here, it would have been Evan who reached this place today instead.
And as soon as he thought of that, his cheat's notification rang.
[Your comprehension defies the heaven! You have gained more insight into 'fate'.]
"I am right." Grey's eyes flashed.
"The High Order. They are going all out eh?" Grey was thoughtful.
Then he laughed. "But I will not let them have their way."
That aside, while most of the truths were revealed, there were still a lot to be explained and Grey would find it one by one.
And one day, he would step out of Blue Star by himself.
"Oh well, I was not able to hear the actual name of this planet, it was glitched out when he spoke." Grey rolled his eyes.
Those parts were conveniently censored and glitched out.
But one thing for sure, this planet was not called Blue Star, and when the words glitched it began with the 'e' pronunciation.
He had explicitly thought of something but he quickly shook his head. He believed he was thinking far too ahead.
For now, it was time to grow stronger. Everything else was secondary and with enough strength, knowledge would flow naturally, it was only a matter of time before he collected the seals and removed the curse.
Grey took one more glance at the inner structure of the pagoda which was empty and left the place.
Grey's next destination was the place where Branden Everhart left his treasures behind.
