Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 622: A candidate for champion.

[Ding! A World Quest Has Been Issued – "Make the Fallen Valkyrie Lina your champion."]

"Make her my champion?" she almost said aloud.

"Wait, wait, wait. System, if she becomes my champion, won't this girl become Nemo's partner?" she asked.

[Yes, it is]," the System replied bluntly.

Arabel froze, not knowing what to say. She looked at the girl again.

This girl was not only a Fallen Valkyrie, but also the daughter of a Sword Hero. Overall, she was a good candidate, but Arabel didn't want to just appoint her as her champion and then impose her on Nemo, as it was with her and Idan.

"Nemo already has three candidates..." — She started, but then stopped when she remembered that there was a Valkyrie among the three candidates.

"No, there can't be such a coincidence.", — Arabel told herself.

No matter how hard Arabel tried, the thought wouldn't leave her mind. When Arabel saw the light pattern on the girl's left hand in the form of a watch, she realized that she had to find out everything before the girl's time in the Kingdom ended and she was forced back to Junonia.

"Do you think maybe this girl is Izzy's mother?" she asked to get the opinion of the others.

This question surprised everyone and made them think.

"You know, you're right. Perhaps this girl really is Izzy's mother," Sierra did not deny this possibility.

"And how to check it?" Milena asked.

"Idan has a way to find out.", — Irene shared, reminding Arabel of the "Threads of One Blood" artifact.

"Where's baby Izzy?" asked Arabel.

"She stayed at the temple in the care of a Nanny," Sierra replied.

"Let's wait until one of them wakes up and find out what happened," Arabel suggested. Although she had a way to get the two necessary ingredients at any moment, she decided to wait for Nemo and the girl to wake up, instead of checking their connections without their knowledge.

"Someone here already knows what really happened," Sierra said, turning to Geminia, who had been watching everyone with a slight smile all the while, stroking the peacefully sleeping Kitty in her arms.

"Yes, I know," she replied shortly.

"I suggest you wait until they wake up and ask them yourself," Geminia suggested before anyone could ask their question.

After a short stay in the guest room, Arabel returned to her bedroom.

She sat down on the edge of the bed, trying to relax, but her mind was preoccupied with worries about Idan.

"Woo-woo-woo," she suddenly heard Coco purr, who appeared next to her. Without thinking twice, Arabel picked up the fox cub and hugged him tightly.

Coco, as if sensing her mistress' mood, used her special ability to help her.

It was only thanks to Coco's "Stress Relief Toy" ability that Arabel managed to relax and put her thoughts in order a little.

Arabel collapsed onto the bed, relaxed, and drifted off to sleep.

She woke up to the voice of Esma, who had finally returned from her trip to the second city of Limbo with Hailey.

Arabel was annoyed and wanted Esma to shut up and let her get some more sleep. But then she heard:

"Little sister, get up. Nemo and his girlfriend have already woken up, and the others are waiting for you."

Arabel abruptly opened her eyes and sat up in bed.

"Woo-woo-woo," — Coco whined.

Arabel looked down and noticed that she had been sleeping all this time, hugging her tightly, and with her sudden movement she woke her up.

"I'm sorry, Coco," she apologized, picked her up and, starting to stroke her, got out of bed and left the bedroom.

When Arabel went down to the first floor, she saw Esma and Hayley, who had returned unharmed and didn't seem to have any serious problems. However, Hailey looked slightly annoyed.

Besides them, there were Sierra, who was holding Izzy, Milena, and the Nanny puppet. As Arabel had expected, Geminia was nowhere to be seen.

"Well, finally!" exclaimed Esma happily with impatience. "Let's go meet our new sister and find out who she really is. Is she really Nemo's girlfriend and baby Izzy's mother?"

Arabel smiled at Esma's familiar enthusiasm and realized that she hadn't changed at all.

"Okay, let's go," she nodded.

"Wait a minute," — Sierra stopped her and, going over to the Nanny, handed Izzy over to her.

"Keep an eye on the baby until we call you," — Sierra asked. The Nanny nodded silently and gently picked Izzy up in her arms. Many might envy her neat and professional movements, despite the fact that she was a puppet.

Arabel had barely crossed the threshold of the guest room when she stopped, startled by the scene in front of her. Lina, despite her wound, was sitting up and trying to remove the makeshift bandage he had made from pieces of cloth from Nemo's face. However, Nemo resisted and did not want to show her his disfigured face.

Noticing the newcomers, both stopped abruptly. Lina, seeing Sierra among them and recognizing her as a Valkyrie, recoiled and, missing with her hand, fell off the bed, letting out a groan of pain. Nemo became worried and rushed to her side.

"Ahahaha," Esma, looking at her new sister's awkwardness, burst into laughter, while the others silently watched what was happening.

Lina stood up and looked at Esma, who was still laughing, and her eyes widened in shock when she recognized her as an acquaintance.

"Esmari?" she blurted out.

Esma's laughter stopped, and everyone else looked at her.

"Esma!" exclaimed Esma with annoyance in her voice. "I'm Esma, not Esmari."

"Huh?" — Lina was surprised at first, but then her eyes widened even more. "Are you the missing Esmari avatar?"

Esma didn't want to answer that question. She no longer saw herself as an avatar of Esmari. And since I signed the contract with Arabel, I've become a full-fledged individual.

"You seem to know each other? Why don't you recognize her?" Hailey asked Esma.

"I don't know her," Esma replied flatly.

"Esma has been missing for a long time and has lost touch with her main body," Sierra intervened. "This girl looks very young, and maybe Esma disappeared before she was born, and she's familiar with her main body."

"Oh. Thanks," Hailey nodded after receiving the reply. She did not forget to thank Sierra, showing due respect to her elders.

"You seem a little familiar to me, have we met before?" asked Sierra, carefully examining Lina.

Lina was a little scared when she heard this question, and everyone realized that she knew Sierra.

"No, we haven't met in person, but I've seen you from the outside," Lina hastened to reply, seeing that Sierra was waiting for her answer.

"Hmm..." — Sierra rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Then why do you look familiar? I usually don't pay much attention to the younger ones and don't remember them."

"Perhaps..." Lina hesitated a bit, and then, sighing, said with a faint smile, "There are few people who don't know me in the Celestial Continent."

"Oh really?" everyone was surprised, even Sierra was amazed by Lina's words.

"How could such a young Valkyrie become so famous? Could she be one of the Queen's daughters?" Sierra thought, but immediately dismissed the thought. "No, that's impossible. I know the Queen's daughters, and she doesn't look like them at all."

"I'm not known from the best side," Lina hesitated a little, but nevertheless decided to confess. She was sure that even though Sierra didn't recognize her now, she would remember her soon. "I am a Valkyrie born from the avatar of a Valkyrie and a Sword Hero."

Everyone present, except Arabel and Sierra, was very surprised by her admission. Arabel already knew this because of her Eye of Identification ability, and Sierra burst out laughing when she heard her words.

"Ah-ha-ha-ha! Now I remember," she said. "You're the one who caused the Avatar ability to be banned."
