Watching as the magic earth cows that had slowly surrounded her on all sides began scrambling to escape as far away from her as possible after seeing how she had cut down their leader with ease, Scaly could not help proudly raising her head with an overjoyed look in her eyes. Feeling that she finally had the strength to show off her might in front of these lesser beings. Allowing them to feel her might firsthand in a way that she hadn't experienced in the past when killing weaker monsters, a feeling that stemmed from killing a powerful foe with relative ease while striking fear into the masses!

But… After placing her claws on top of the now dead magic earth cow lord, Scaly quickly realized how dumb this proud show of force had been, as the surrounding magic earth cows seemed to be getting further away…

Wait! Don't run!

Whoosh~!

Abandoning her proud and victorious pose without the slightest bit of hesitation, Scaly chased after the escaping magic earth cows who had scattered all around her. Knowing that any more time wasted on showing off would result in more of the magic earth cows escaping, something she couldn't allow to happen. After all, these magic earth cows were perfect for filling her stomach. Both filling and tasting delicious at the same time.

Because of this, a massacre soon played out on the green plains covered in a thin mist, as Scaly rapidly moved from one escaping magic earth cow to the next. Cutting them down with ease through the assistance of her now far more powerful water magic that rendered their normally powerful defenses useless.

Although this was draining her mana fast, her mana capacity after her fifth evolution seemed to have more than doubled. Making it relatively simple for her to continue her slaughter without her mana running out. Especially so considering that the speed her mana recovered also increased significantly after her fifth evolution.

Curious as this made her about her status, she decided to wait until after killing the magic earth cows and filling up her stomach to check it out.

At the very least, with the sheer number of magic earth cows she killed, she had a feeling that they alone would be more than enough to fill her up completely. After all, magic earth cows were not just delicious, but also far larger than other monsters. Providing far more food than killing a dozen oversized rats back at the first floor of the dungeon.

The problem was…

Ah! Stop stealing my prey!

As she continued hunting down the magic earth cows and got further away from the place where she had killed the magic earth cow lord, surrounding monsters began to take the opportunity to steal the prey she had gone through the trouble of killing, something that inevitably forced her to give up on continuing her hunt for the remaining magic earth cows-

Just in time for her to see another level up notification, showing that she had already managed to reach level 5 solely from hunting down magic earth cows. The one that assisted the most in this rapid level up undoubtedly being the magic earth cow lord, as it had not just brought her to level 2, but also incredibly close to reaching level 3.

In a sense, it wouldn't be wrong to say that the magic earth cow lord alone was worth an entire level on its own, something that only made her more excited about hunting similarly powerful monsters in the future.

Of course, the weaker monster like the magic earth cows couldn't be discarded either, as their sheer numbers alone had ended up bringing far more experience points than the magic earth cow lord…

R…Rooooar!

Finally reaching the location of the dead magic earth cow lord, Scaly showed no restraint, as she directly barred her fangs on one of the smaller monsters in the shape of a green colored chicken with a neck more than a meter long while letting out her best roar to date-

Biting into the long necked green chicken without any hesitation after witnessing how it was happily eating her prey without the slightest bit of shame. Killing it in an instant, while also making the surrounding monsters with similar thoughts of an easy meal scatter like the wind. Leaving only the long necked green chicken as the victim this time around, as Scaly had to rush away shortly after to defend the rest of her fallen prey.

Soon enough, finding herself dragging the different magic earth cows she had killed not long ago together around the magic earth cow lord that was by far seen as the most precious one amongst all the magic earth cows she had killed… And through a quick taste, also confirmed to be the most delicious.

Of course, this kind of pile up of dead magic earth cows drew some attention from the surrounding monsters who were all hungrily observing the pile from a distance, but with the previous death of the long necked green chicken and a few other monsters who had been bold enough to try and steal from her, the rest of the monsters kept their distance even though they wanted nothing more than to jump forward and take one of the large magic earth cows for themselves.

As for Scaly…

Chomp~ Chomp~ Chomp~

She was busy chomping down on the magic earth cows that were now spread all around her into large piles that could easily be reached. Wasting no time in stuffing herself to satiate the hunger that had still not left her after her fifth evolution.

In what was no more than a few minutes, the surrounding monsters who had been hoping to pick apart what was left behind when she finished were all left in shock at the terrifying speed that the magic earth cows were consumed and seemingly disappeared upon reaching her stomach.

The rapid consumption not just making it clear to these monsters that it was highly unlikely for there to be anything left for them to fight over, but also the fact that this terrifying monsters that had managed to easily hunt down the magic earth cows might not be filled even after consuming such a large number of magic earth cows. Making some of the more timid monsters fearfully back away. Understanding that staying around might end up turning them into the next magic earth cows.

As for the ones that remained behind to observe, they also slowly began to grow uneasy watching the dwindling number of magic earth cow corpse where only bones were left at the end… And soon enough, even they joined the timid monsters who were the first to escape, causing the area around Scaly to turn into a complete dead zone devoid of any monsters.

Although Scaly didn't realize any of this as she was fully focused on eating, she wouldn't really care much about this even if she knew, as it would be relatively simple for her to find new monsters.

After all, if there was one thing the dungeon didn't lack, it would be monsters.

Even inside the mist covered grass plain she found herself on, there were more than enough monsters for her to continue leveling up, though, it might be a bit more difficult now that the monsters on the grass plains had begun to realize how scary she was.

In a way, it would be far simpler going to a new place where she was unknown and start hunting monsters there, but… That was for the future. Now, all she could focus on was filling up her stomach.

And so, a few hours flew by with Scaly enjoying herself consuming the magic earth cows she had hunted down not long ago. Resulting in the hunger that had been plaguing her so far, disappearing completely by the time she consumed the last magic earth cow.

Of course, the hunger had disappeared before the last magic earth cow entered her stomach, but she had been unable to stop herself when she had already started eating. Instead, she decided to just continue now that she had already begun, as it didn't exactly harm her to keep eating.

Even more so considering she had not been eating for what felt like weeks and most likely was weeks considering how she had just gone through her fifth evolution.

Filling her stomach was more than enough to last for a few days considering how water was not something she had to search for with her water magic being able to take care of any water need she might have.

In a way… Water magic and the ability to summon drinking water whenever she was thirsty might have been the main reason why she had even been able to survive inside the dungeon for as long as she had in the first place…
