Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!

Chapter 99: Exile The Monster Encyclopedia!

It wasn't like the explosion Logan had imagined. He didn't feel any strong radiation or shockwave.

The mushroom cloud that had just appeared now looked really small.

Seeing this, Logan silently calculated. The Death God of Love's power had been weakened by at least a thousand times in the Lost World.

Thinking about this, he immediately got up and ran to the window.

According to the plan they had discussed earlier, the prisoners had already set up the rocket launchers.

With a series of Infernos cutting through the night sky, hundreds of rockets flew toward the monster group outside CEM27.

This battle to defend against the beast tide started with CEM38 opening fire.

Each prisoner was in their position, operating dozens of weapons.

As one weapon ran out of ammo, the prisoner jumped off and quickly switched to another, continuing to fire.

They had to reduce the size of the beast tide as much as possible before it reached CEM38.

Colonel Bell stood in front of the smart screen, his eyes fixed on the moving dots on the satellite map. He said seriously: "Logan, now it's up to you."

After saying that, Bell ordered a ceasefire. All the prisoners started reloading their weapons. Meanwhile, Logan used the smoke from the rockets to fly toward the beast tide in his horned hawk, Red Feather.

Outside CEM27, a huge number of rockets almost wiped out the front line of the beast tide.

The wild Infernos kept burning the monsters' bodies. Some managed to survive with their defenses, but they were still badly hurt.

Without Victor's command, the monsters could only cry out, roar, and even start fighting among themselves. Their formation was completely broken.

Logan flew high above, using the firelight from the ground to scan every single monster.

He compared each monster with the ones he had seen in The Monster Encyclopedia. Any creature with the ability to fly or attack from a distance was instantly pulled into his War Domain, one by one.

After practicing for several days, Logan could now open the War Domain without anyone noticing.

One by one, the monsters vanished into thin air, but none of them could spot him.

Within half an hour, he flew back and forth over the beast tide, hidden in the darkness.

As for the monsters he had trapped in the War Domain, Logan had already decided what to do with each group.

All the flying monsters were sent straight to the ocean, to play with Nabo and Seductive Mermaid.

All the long-range attackers were sent deep underground, to play hide-and-seek with the black ants.

He also caught a few large monsters with strong breaking power.

These big ones were left for his main familiars to deal with.

Especially Nami, who also had the ability to Enslave Minds.

With her help, Logan's army wiped out nearly 20,000 large monsters without any losses.

Plus the flying ones he drowned in the sea and the long-range ones he buried underground, Logan had killed almost 50,000 monsters in one trip.

Although 50,000 was just a small part of the million-strong beast tide, these creatures were a big threat to CEM38 base.

Now, after Logan's clean-up, the number of flying and long-range monsters in the tide had dropped a lot. They could no longer pose a deadly threat to CEM38.

Seeing that his job was done, Logan didn't hang around. He just clapped his hands and left.

Not long after Logan left, the destroyed CEM27 base exploded again.

The ruins were lifted by a powerful force.

A huge body appeared on the battlefield. Nine dragon heads moved and roared, sending out waves of anger.

"Damn humans! How dare you destroy my human body! You almost trapped me in the familiar space!"

"This is all a human trap! It must be Logan! That guy must have worked with the military to set this up!"

"Kill! Kill! Kill! All monsters, gather up! Break through everything and head for Saint Heart City! Kill Logan at all costs!"

Nine dragon heads gave nine orders at once.

In a moment, the chaotic beast tide was once again under control.

The broken formation slowly started to get back together.

Without Victor's body, the Nine-Headed Dragon Hydra stood in front of the monsters in its true form.

It counted its beast tide army again, and to its surprise, it found that in just half an hour, tens of thousands of monsters had been killed.

Looking at the burned ground and the Inferno marks, it slowly understood: "Damn humans! They must have bombed the beast tide while I was away. Cowards!"

Its loud roars echoed through the sky. After venting its anger, Hydra ordered the beast tide: "All flying monsters, go now and scout nearby human bases. If they could bomb here, they can't be far away."

It raised its head and looked up into the sky, waiting for a reply from the flying monsters.

One second. Two. Three. But the nine heads of Hydra stared into the night sky, and there was nothing but silence. Not even a single feather.

Finally, it exploded with rage: "Damn it! Where did all the flying monsters go? Who did this?!"

To Hydra's mind, even though the monsters in its army had their minds damaged by its blood, the flying ones should still have the instinct to escape danger. They shouldn't have been wiped out in just a few attacks.

The more it thought, the angrier it got.

It gave another order to the monster army: "All monsters! The weak ones go first, the big ones in the middle, the long-range ones at the back. Head toward Saint Heart City!"

With a single command, the beast tide finally responded this time.

The monsters quickly moved and adjusted their positions, forming neat square formations in front of Hydra.

Looking at the fast-moving army, Hydra was quite satisfied. "Good, the main force is still here. Taking Saint Heart City won't be a problem."

Then, Hydra lifted its head and looked toward the back of the formation. As soon as it saw what was there, all nine of its heads widened in shock and let out a furious roar.

"Where are the big beasts?"

"Where are the long-range attackers?"

"Wait, why are there only three or four big ones left, and just a hundred or so long-range monsters?"

Hydra stared at the few weak, scattered giant monsters in the back and almost exploded with anger.

It had gathered almost two million monsters to form the beast tide, but before the attack even started, the humans had bombed them.

It didn't know what the humans had done in between, but the most powerful monsters in its army had been specifically targeted and wiped out.

At that moment, Hydra felt more frustrated than ever.

As an S-level monster, it felt its dignity had been insulted.

So, filled with anger, it ordered all the monsters to move forward.

It wanted to find the human army and teach them a lesson. "All units, march!"

Inside CEM38 base,

Colonel Bell saw Logan return, all dusty and tired, and smiled with excitement.

When he heard that Logan had eliminated 50,000 special monsters in one go, he laughed so hard his face wrinkled. "Logan, this battle, you get the first prize!"

Logan heard this and didn't show any change in his face. Instead, he said seriously: "This is the real battle now. Are you ready?"

Seeing that Logan was worried, Bell Major smiled and grabbed his arm, leading him up to the city wall. "You know the best way to defend?" he said. "It's to attack!"

Then, Bell pointed to the long-range rocket artillery position inside the base and laughed. "We have plenty of weapons here. I'm going to make sure those monsters are dead before they even reach CEM38!"

As soon as he finished speaking, more Infernos lit up the night sky, flying toward the beast tide.

Because the beast tide was so big, they couldn't avoid the wide-area bombing.

After being hit three or four times, the formation started breaking apart. Many monsters were injured, crippled, or even killed, and their fighting power dropped a lot.

Seeing this, Hydra was completely furious.

At first, it had planned to lead the beast tide directly against the WF101 checkpoint.

But being bombed by CEM38 all the time made it too angry to hold back.

So, in a fit of rage, it ordered the whole army to turn around and destroy CEM38 first.

All this happened in just fifteen minutes — the time it took for Bell Major and Logan to finish a cup of coffee. In that short time, they saw a huge mass of monsters coming straight for them.

The beast tide moved very fast. In less than half an hour, they had already reached the city walls.

Logan looked at the army of monsters and tried to move forward, but Bell Major stopped him again with a hand. "Don't act too fast," Bell said. "Now, use the knowledge you learned from The Monster Encyclopedia to find the strongest individuals in the beast tide. Send them into the War Domain."

At this, Bell's expression turned serious again. "Me and my men aren't at our best. When we meet something really strong, we'll have to rely on you. Even though you're just a master 1start kid, I believe you can beat those monsters and return to the Federation, winning the name of Supernova!"

Encouraged by his words, Logan silently saluted Bell, then climbed onto his horned hawk, Red Feather, and flew back up into the sky.

This was a plan Bell had already arranged.

For the first time, Logan used the rocket fire to cover his movements and quietly took out the flying monsters in the beast tide.

The second time, since the number of flying and long-range monsters had dropped a lot, Logan could use his high-altitude advantage to constantly harass the beast tide.

Every time he spotted a strong monster in the tide, he would target it directly, sending it into the War Domain and weakening the beast tide's top fighters.

In the rear of the beast tide.

Hydra had just arrived and immediately gave the order to attack.

A million monsters attacking the city—like a huge wave, unstoppable and overwhelming.

Bell Major and his team had less than a hundred people, and with their familiars, they barely reached a thousand.

But they quickly formed a tight fire net, pouring out bullets like they were free, and soon created a battlefield covered in dead monsters.

But the monsters kept coming, pushing their lines forward slowly.

The Nine-Headed Dragon Hydra watched this and sneered: "Hmph, humans still don't understand the power of monsters. Even without long-range attackers, I can still break through your little city!"

On the walls of CEM38 base, Bell Major's eyes were sharp. He immediately noticed the rock-armored beasts in the tide and sent a message to Logan right away: "Rock-armored beast, take it!"
