Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!

Chapter 79: This test is insane!

At Logan's command, Kerparos moved with him at once and activated the War Domain inside the familiar space.

In an instant, the seawater around Logan vanished, and the darkness was replaced by blazing sunlight.

Scorched earth spread under Nabo's feet. Cracks kept splitting open in the ground, spewing hot lava.

Standing on Nabo's back, Logan stared coldly at the deep-sea beast ahead. "Now the roles in this hunt are reversed."

Hearing that, the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel just stared with its huge fish eyes, stunned.

It had been circling Logan and Nabo a moment ago, and out of nowhere it got dragged into this volcanic space.

It was an eel, for crying out loud. Even if it had advanced to the Legend stage and could leave the sea for a short time, you couldn't just put it over a volcano to roast it, right?

And doing it while it was wide awake—that was just picking on a fish!

The Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel hovered in midair, eyes locked on Logan, teeth clacking.

Suddenly, it opened its jaws and fired an Ice Beam at him.

Logan didn't get careless. He summoned Kerparos, who spat out a triple Inferno whirlwind, canceling the Ice Beam.

The heavy clash of Inferno and Frost filled the space between them with fog, blocking their view.

All at once, the fog shut out every bit of light, and Logan's vision went dark again.

"[Dark Domain], huh?" Logan closed his eyes and gave a cold smile. "Too bad that doesn't work on me."

With his soul sense, he felt the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel sneaking into the ground.

It was actually risking getting cooked by lava as it swam toward the earth under Nabo.

"So sneaky." Logan snarled.

He then summoned Lilith, told her to enter her Demon Lord descends form, and called out the Moon-Cleaving Magic Blade.

By then, the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel had already reached the ground beneath Nabo.

All of a sudden, the ground shook. Lightning ran all over the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel as it burst up like a spear through the earth, aiming straight for Nabo's belly.

If a turtle has a weak spot, aside from the head and tail, the belly is the least protected.

But Logan didn't give the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel a chance to hurt Nabo.

The moment it broke the surface, Logan recalled Nabo into the familiar space.

Up in the air, Logan had already opened both [Dual-Beast Possession] and [Demon Lord descends].

He and Lilith flanked it, one on each side, each holding a [Moon-Cleaving Magic Blade]. Two silver slashes flew at the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel.

With the defense and stamina from Dual-Beast Possession, Logan tanked the eel's lightning and drove his demon blade hard into its hide.

Aargh!

The pain was so sharp the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel almost passed out on the spot.

It thrashed like crazy, trying to shake Logan off, but that didn't hurt him—if anything, it gave Lilith an opening.

Pfft!

Another blade stabbed into the eel's body, and the pain brought tears to its eyes.

Logan knew to finish the job while the enemy was weak. He reached in, pushing his hand into the eel's wound.

"Black Ant King!"

With that order, he summoned a dozen or so black ants.

As soon as they left the familiar space, they dropped straight into the eel's wound.

The wound was already big, and now he forced a dozen black ants into it. The Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel hurt so much it couldn't keep its inner lightning anymore and started convulsing.

Seeing this, Logan grinned, eyes cold. "Blow up!"

On command, the black ants swelled in an instant and all blew up.

The huge shockwave went off inside the eel and blasted it over again.

Frowning, Logan stared at the wound and realized every cell in its body could store energy.

"So that's it. No wonder such a big blast did so little. This beast can even absorb energy." With that, Logan raised his blade and carved another gash into the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel.

This time, Logan used the same trick. He summoned over a hundred black ants and ordered them to blow themselves up.

He didn't think it was a waste at all. Against a monster that had just stepped into the Legend stage, if it grabbed the lead, Logan would be the one to die.

The main reason he could keep hurting the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel was that he saw through its info and learned its abilities in advance.

Information is always the most important factor in a fight.

With another thunderous boom, the huge body of the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel crashed down, sizzling in the lava as fat popped.

The blast from more than a hundred black ants almost blew the eel in half.

It was now lying limp on the lava, completely out of the fight.

Seeing such a tough monster die by his hand, Logan didn't get smug. He called Lilith at once: "Drain it."

With Logan's okay, Lilith activated Life Drain and started taking the eel's life force.

Kerparos watched from the side, eyes full of envy.

Seeing that pitiful look, Logan sliced off three sections of the eel and tossed them to Kerparos. "Go grill some eel."

"Woof!" Kerparos grabbed the meat and ran off to barbecue it, barking and wagging his tail.

Draining the eel's life force took a long time for Lilith.

Logan left them in the War Domain. He took Nabo and went back to the seafloor of the Blood Cultivation Realm.

Without the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel causing trouble, Nabo soon brought Logan back to the surface.

The eel's ambush gave Logan a new view of the ocean part of the Blood Cultivation Realm.

"Looks like, from now on, when I explore the ocean Blood Cultivation Realm, I should check the seabed. Maybe I'll find some treasure."

With that, Logan found a small island and sat down cross-legged.

Then he told Nabo to dive to the bottom and carefully search for anything valuable under the waves.

Logan guessed there had to be a major treasure down there—something strong enough to let the Seven-Emperor Sea Dragon Eel evolve to the Legend stage.

In fact, everything was just as Logan had guessed.

There really was a precious treasure under the sea — a huge palace.

Nabo led Logan through the water, and they finally reached the grand entrance of the palace.

Logan held a bottle of mineral water in his mouth, bubbles constantly coming out of his lips, and his eyes were full of surprise.

"Could there really be a place like this inside the Blood Cultivation Realm?" Logan, full of questions in his heart, slowly stepped through the door.

As soon as his body passed through the doorway, the surrounding water suddenly disappeared, and the air felt unusually fresh.

"Can I actually breathe here?" With great curiosity, Logan walked deeper into the palace.

Soon, Logan found the main hall of the palace. As soon as he stepped inside, he was shocked by the statues in front of him.

On both sides of the hall stood beautiful mermaid statues, each one incredibly lifelike and stunningly beautiful.

In the center of the hall stood a statue of a mermaid princess, dressed in a beautiful outfit and wearing a crown.

Logan looked at the mermaids in awe, because they looked so real.

He used his soul power to scan each statue. Their clothes, bodies, and even internal organs were just like real people. Even the patterns on their scales were unique.

"How could there be such a place in the Blood Cultivation Realm?" Logan asked himself, then walked up to the mermaid princess.

As he looked at her face, he couldn't help but be drawn in by her beauty.

Suddenly, a strong emotional wave came toward him. He faintly heard a voice calling for help.

"This... is a soul wave!" Logan sensed where the wave was coming from, and it was from the statue in front of him. He was stunned. "Who are you calling for?"

Logan used his soul power to ask, and soon he got a reply.

"Brave warrior, please save me and my people!" A worried and weak voice echoed in Logan's mind.

"Why did you become like this? How can I save you?" Logan turned around and looked again at the mermaid statues.

After about ten minutes, the statue of the mermaid princess sent another soul wave, but this time it was even weaker.

"Brave warrior, we were cursed. Only a true brave warrior of love can restore us. Please save us." The princess's voice suddenly stopped. After another ten minutes, she spoke again and told Logan how to save them.

"Do I need to pass a test?" Logan's eyes widened as he stared at the statue of the mermaid princess, unable to calm down.

He wanted to hear more from the princess, but after an hour, no more voices came.

Unfortunately, Logan had no choice but to leave the main hall and go to the pool in front of the palace, looking troubled.

According to what the mermaid princess said, only a warrior who had passed the test of the Water of Life could save them.

And this pool right in front of him was the Water of Life. It would take challengers into a dream-like world and test them over and over again.

Only after passing 108 tests would the warrior be awakened by the water.

Otherwise, Logan would be dissolved by the water and become part of it.

Looking at the strange pool, Logan immediately tried to contact Kerparos.

But even with Kerparos's great knowledge, he had never heard of anything like this.

Logan hesitated for a moment, then casually dropped a black ant into the pool.

As expected, the ant melted quickly, just like butter in a hot pan.

After seeing this, Logan turned around and walked away.

No way was he going to risk his life for others.
