Seems I was knocked out for quite a while.
…
"Okay, let's discuss the topic at hand… There are dark elves who aren't working with the fire giants outside. Also, if my predictions are correct, the corps that I sent out should come back within a few more days,"
"If they didn't die," Cora chuckled, and everybody present just stared at her with a blank, uninterested face.
"Anyway, we should rope these dark elves into our army," I continued my sentence, and there was a bit of an uproar at our meeting table inside our very own cabin.
It was like a meeting hall where everybody could discuss their opinions and ideas on our future motives.
"Silence!" I shouted, and the room soon went quiet, Cora silently whistling as the silence soon evaporated all conversation.
"Commander, I believe we should just eradicate them. There is always the chance of them betraying us for the opposing side whenever they see a chance of us losing. In fact, they might not even be on our side from the beginning," One knight said, his booming voice practically shaking the entire cabin.
He spoke about what was on everybody else's mind, and he seemed a bit proud of himself that he actually brought this up.
"Hey, I never said we'll become allies. I just said we'll rope them into our army. We'll pretend that they're part of us, but in reality, we'll use them on the front lines as some form of cannon fodder," I explained.
"Ohooo! Good idea! This will also slow down some of the dark elves who can't bring themselves to kill another one of their own race! What a great idea!" Cora shouted.
"Cora, please only open your mouth if you have something important to say-"
"But, we should still eradicate them. From the camps that we've destroyed, we noticed how merciless these dark elves could be, so I don't think roping them in is a good idea," Cora added, and her naive eyes suddenly turned serious.
"You really think so? We could use the extra manpower," I muttered, but everybody here who went on the dark elf killing spree just glared at me.
"Yes," Cora replied, her tone so serious you'd think she was talking about a dead relative or something like that.
"Okay… Fine. Then, I'll lead the pack this time. I'll only need a few others, and my maids will stay here just in case anything else happens. We'll be leaving tonight and be back by tomorrow morning,"
"Ummmm… who will be participating?" A random asked.
"If you're called to my quarters tonight, then you're part of the team. If you aren't, that just means you aren't as good at stealth. Now, there will be no complaints whether you're part of it or not, okay?"
"Yes, commander!"
"Good…"
…
With a bit of assistance and directions from Cora, I was able to select a decent team who could help support me as we eradicate the dark elven village.
Cora was also coming, and to be honest, I don't think we needed more than us to complete the job, but we can never be too safe.
That eerily conscious armor still sends shivers down my spine the more I think about it… or maybe I just have PTSD from when my maid of death did that thing with the souls.
In fact, that might've been the most fearful I've ever been in my life.
"It's a good thing she doesn't hate me," I chuckled, and with a confused stare from Cora and a thumbs up from everybody in the group, we all set off into the darkness of night, our equipment prepared and our minds steeled.
The trek through the thick snow wasn't very hard as I created a thin yet strong piece of ice across all of it, allowing all of us to easily glide through the forest.
Some of the members even chose to jump through the tree branches as these trees were pretty damn big, and their branches could definitely support the weight of an average human.

"Once we get there, everybody stand back. I want to try something new," I ordered the entire group, and everybody immediately nodded with no complaints at all.
Soon, we reached the deepest part of the forest, which was so thick with trees that barely any moonlight was able to shine through the cracks.
The dark elves were still active, but as we sat in the branches of the trees, waiting for any significant move, we all realized how strange they were.
Everything seemed more like a cult than a village in the way they handled things and even had an alter where they brought raw meat.
"Hmmm… well, we'll see," I muttered before raising my hand, creating a crown of ice atop my head, my eyes slowly emitting a slight dim blue glow.
As everybody watched from the dark of the night, a chilling sensation washed through every being in the forest…
And as my arm came swinging down, the entire village turned into an icy wonderland with nothing escaping my icy wrath.
The entire place had frozen over, and even the tree line right behind the village was frozen over, some of them even breaking and toppling into the frozen-over village.
Houses shattered like glass, and dark elves crumbled into chunks of frozen meat.
A small cloud escaped my mouth as I breathed out and touched my cheeks, feeling the frost slowly crawling up my face.
"Seems my body still has limits,"
